Like "snare should be no louder than -5 Db, hi-hats shouldn't be louder than -6 Db", something like that? Can this scheme exist, or it is useless and I should adjust instrument's loudness while listening to the sounds all together in the mix?
No there is no such thing as that. Use your ears and ur instincts. Many of the best mixers just adjust levels off of feel. No one uses meters to adjust levels
I have no idea why this video isn't playing, but as a beginner, I just wanna ask: do you put anything on your master track after mixing all the sounds??
@@chiefnarx use the Soft Clipper so it Dosent peek and then use the fruity limiter to boost the volume. Make sure you move the fruity limiters ceiling up a bit before turning up the gain on the limiter. Don’t turn it up to much or it will distort
@@MILNETHEARTIST ahh nice tip. Thanks a lot. Didn't even know Fruity Limiter could be used for this. I usually just apply it to the master track, and then bring the ceiling down to -6DB. Thanks again
