Coming back to BusyWorksBeats after a break from music is helping me get back into it again. I was a HUGE fan of BWB back in 2011 and I was watching video after video and even downloading his videos to study each one and improve my craft and let me tell you.. even though I haven’t seen everything of his especially lately.. the guy is the man. You can go back years even and find absolute gold on his channel. Don’t miss out on all the content he has available. You will learn so much from him. He’s been doing this forever now.
I just want to say, this is a master-class... I don't do this professionally, more for fun, but you have me thinking about how I structure things; I haven't really tried a half-time beat but I kind of want to know because it feels a bit more versatile than it did before. A bit more work, but for a major step up on progress for me. So thank you for this, from the bottom of my heart. People like myself who have played instruments and can read music get it, but we don't really GET it until you really break something down like this and make people THINK.
I’ve maybe watched about 5 minutes of this video and I have already learned so much. I’ve been making beats for about a year now. Yesterday I finally made the upgrade to FL studio!! You really do a great job at explaining each topic you are talking about and you do a great job at breaking everything down!!
busy works beats, you showed me how to make beats, and now i have an artist jumping on two of my beats!!! i jus wanna thank you dude i apprecaite ya !!
Its amazing that you are willing to share your knowledge like this. Thank You! You are truly helping to give people skills, competence and confidence. It changes lives!
On the real. I studied Audio Production at the art institute and I've learned more in just a few of your videos than I did in a single year at school. I think that's because the schools teach you like a tutorial, like, do this, do that, it sounds like this, you passed...but with no real understanding of the processes; whereas you are teaching literally HOW to make the MUSIC, which is really what people are after.
ive developed my own style and i like the music i make, it always includes trap style drums. i have recently started selling beats but am terrible at staying within the genre and making things that most people want.
Same. Terrible at being anything at all. But I am a pianist/guitarist. So, I'm strong there. Really liking doing trap drums with singer songwriter stuff. You do you man. Whatever works for you.
I just bought your music theory essentials bundle, your beatmaker bundle, and the Music Business mastery, I’ve been saving up for it for a while now, best UA-camr 💙
11:05 "If only you knew the magnificence of 3, 6 and 9, then you would have a key to the universe." - Tesla, I hope to see what tesla speaks about in this quote one day 🙏
great video man, enjoyed going over some of the basic fundamentals of trap cause like you said.....I too feel that sometimes we forget the little things that end up being the main ingredients to a solid beat.
Also, to my fellow viewers, (cuz u already know this, Busy) 99% of the time, right clicking 808 samples and long sound effect samples, and clicking on “cut itself” is the magic problem solver.
I have been making beats with FL studio since 2007 started with FL studios 5 now I have over 120 beats, even in my two album I made the whole beats, but you know life you never know it all, so I stop buy to get some reference thanks brother.
Man he's spot on about the tempo thing lol. I had a homie that would just start recording as soon as he opened his DAW. Never adjusted the tempo. He used Reason. I would always ask why he recorded so fast and he didn't get it smh. And he recorded the more "boom bap" tracks. I thought he should be in the more 90-100 bpm range. He didn't tho lol. These are the self taught producers. They just make it work
For recording this has absolutely no purpose, other than rhythm maybe. You just zoom in to the grid, it's nothing magical, you just have more space to place your hats.
By far the best tutorial type video I’ve seen!! 🔥🔥 you just got a new subscription my boy. You explain things into detail and you make it simple and easy to understand and follow
I normally look for the natural BPM of the music i'm going to make and then double it. For instance, if im making a slower beat that has a natural 80BPM, in order to give myself some room to add on-beat/off-beat nuance sounds, I double the BPM, in this case to 160. Back in the 80s and 90s when I was making beats, it was mostly all natural BPMs. Today it's more expansive.
Thanks man, I’m on Logic, but the knowledge comes in handy nonetheless. I’ve been feeling stuck when it comes to making drum beats, hopefully this helps a bit🙏
Learning FL on tablets over computer makes all those skills I learned from you null\void.beats over mixing. I hope I come right like when a plan goes according. Thanks again game. I feel like you are working with me personally with your tutorials. A Label
Of all these guys out there, Busyworks Beats are the most solid and generous.
Check out Seventh beats

I love the way you explain things.
Short, simple, effective.
You got my support from now on! :)
I genuinely don't think I have seen anyone explain things like you, excellent video I'm excited to start making some headway with FL studio
Trap started by all the pirating Fl Studio producers not knowing how to change the tempo in the demo. 😂
😂😂😅130🔥🔥❤
This sounds about right 😂😂😂
Using FL studio Started Trap?
Facts

Amazing tutorial man
I've been making beats on fl since fl 9 and no one has been able to explain the way you have, thank you so much!!

Well said!
16:04 One word: Velocity. Slightly adding velocity to your hats will also add movement and a lil realism. Try it, especially on the rolls 🥃
I love reinforcing what i know with the things you know!
It is zero surprise that this guy has going on a million followers. Incredible teacher and communicator.
The half timing thing makes sense. You make the bpm higher so that u can make those hats faster. In step sequencer.
Really great job breaking it down 🔥🔥🔥💪🏾🏆
