They just want you to be a copycat producer. All their patterns are the same. So when a producer goes against the grain it’s an issue instead of learning a new method. You can use strings to highlight the bass drum and let the beat carries as an instrument that lowered behind the bass drum and strings. Everybody doesn’t rap the same but in this example you will be rapping just like everybody else.
