  • I've installed a wireless solar powered camera to be able to see the end of my forks when running the tractor and picking up pallets. With the larger tractor and the shorter 42 inch pallet forks I've not been able to see the tips when picking up bags of firewood. This should help fix this issue.

Tim interesting accessory, definitely solves the problem with the issue of not seeing the pallet forks.

Pretty slick! Be sure to include some footage of it in use during a stump grinding job and let us know if that size screen is adequate enough to see the blade placement. Thanks for sharing! -Shook

I'm doing the same thing on my 7320 Tim. I bought a wireless one too, but I'm mounting mine on the top of my brush guard, so it can help me see when switching from forks to bucket or snow pusher as well as hopefully see my fork tips when using them with IBC's. Oh, and my camera itself isn't wireless, that has to be wired into the battery, or maybe a work light up above the cab. But the camera and the monitor "communicate with each other" wirelessly. And by the way, I've got 48" forks, and still can't see my fork tips. Granted, our tractors are different, but I don't know if you'd even be able to see your fork tips if you had 48" ones either. I'm also going to buy hydraulic forks at some point, but I need other implements first.
I'm curious to hear your opinion on your R14's once you have more hours on them, and maybe in the snow as well.
Good video Boss, keep up the good work!

I still can't see the tips of the forks when I put it on the top of my brush guard unfortunately. As far as the R14 tires, I had them on my previous tractor and loved them in the snow. Never felt the need to put chains on. I don't do hilly areas in snow either here, but as far as traction on flat and slight slopes, R14 were awesome in the snow. I will touch on them with the DK this winter as I gain experience with them. Thanks for stopping in.

@@timbervisions I guess that's where our machines are different. I'll definitely be able to see my fork tips with the camera on top of the brush guard, but I'm hoping to be able to see both, fork tips, as well as hooking up the quick attach when changing attachments. I don't have it mounted yet, so I'm not positive of if I'll be able to do both or not.
Also, I was going to question on how that would charge if you keep your tractor in the barn like I do, but then I realized that since it's completely wireless, you can just take the camera with you when you get off and set it anywhere to charge, that's nice!

I've used it on the brush guard to change attachments and it works great. As far as charging, it does have a usc plug in the back for times when there isn't sun, such as in a barn. I charged mine up that way before using it the first time. Hope your camera works well for you, mine has been well worth the investment so far.
