One of the most unappreciated country singers of all time. Brooks did one thing that was great. When he put that line about workout Chris Ledoux tape in that song. Opened doors for many to Chris’s music. Gone but never forgotten. RIP Mr Ledoux.

That song by Garth Brooks is exactly how I found out about Chris Ledoux as I had never heard of him before... Now I think I own most of his music CDs.

Doggone right, he'll never be forgotten.
Chris LeDoux gets played in our farmhouse a whole lot. We love hearing his voice and can't help but watch his videos.
Our Virginia farm is a long way from Wyoming though now and again during a thunderstorm I swear I can see Chris riding across the lightning in the sky.
Our family's blessings go out to his family and friends, we feel like he's been a part of our farm family for a long time and he'll remain that way too.

I didnt have a choice but to love Chris LeDoux. Ive been listening to him sence I was a baby. My dad was a bareback rider and a bullrider. My dad passed away when I was four ( in 1997) and Chris's music to this day some how helps me connect to my dad and remember the few short years I had with him. You are very much missed Chris LeDoux. Thank you for blessing us with your music. R.I.P and God Bless

For what it's worth I just discovered this inspirational man. And I guess that's the best tribute we can give. After all these years people like me will hear one of his songs and say "Man who's this guy?!?"... Take a moment break from our lives and find out who he was, appreciate his talents and hard work, and see a true example of a life well lived and a true American spirit. Mr. Ladoux thanks and carry on!

One error : when Chris is talking about the song his fans want at their wedding, he said he knew they meant "look at you girl" and described his courtship of his wife. But in this video, it plays "tougher than the rest."

A true diamond. I've been a huge fan for years. He exudes my idea of what a man should be, what men use to be. Stand up, hard working, God fearing, families strength and support. Chris was a blessed man for sure and I'm sure his wife and kids would agree. For me Chris is at the top of my list of "the last of true men" right next to Charlie Daniels❤

Such a excellent interview that I have never seen before today... Last week I went to a Garth Brooks concert in Branson Missouri and Garth happened to be wearing the T-shirt that said "Just LeDoux It" so that is the shirt I bought after the concert... Like many other people I discovered Chris's music back in the 1990s when his name was mentioned in that Garth Brooks song "much too young to feel this damn old"...
After that I quickly fell in love with Chris's music and probably own most of the albums he ever put out... To this day he is still my favorite country artist of all time.

He still is the best! Unfortunately I’ve only been listening to country for almost 30 years. I used to be rock and my daughter used to love country and still does but she started I believe when she was in the ninth grade listening to country music. I actually super glued my car radio to where My daughter couldn’t change my radio to country. What I’m about to say it is a fact I used to say if I ever started listening to country take me out to the back and shoot me. I used to think it was depressing. Growing up I actually enjoyed something that most people don’t even know but I enjoyed western music I’ve always gotten a hard time about what I’m about to say but the first album I ever bought back in 1973 when I was 13 was John Denver. I come from a family of 10 and I used to get teased about it and now I don’t care anymore I still enjoy his music to this day. Then later on I got into rock. But somehow along my years I got into country and I realized I really enjoyed it. Somehow approximately a year and a half ago when I was listening or should I say watching UA-cam country that I ran across Chris. I had never heard of him before. That is a big regret for me because after listening to his music I realized that I really really enjoyed him and then I found out that he passed away way too soon. Today is Sunday, July 11 and I’ve been watching his music on UA-cam for the past five hours or so that’s how much I enjoy him. I just love his music and his personality the more researched him I found out what kind of man he really is and how he feels about his family and man he’s blown me away. What a man, just what a man. I just love his music and I love his song writing and most importantly what kind of family man he is. To me that’s the most important thing to mean whenever I listen to anyone. What kind of man are you? When I make a friend or enjoy listening to someone’s music the first thing that comes in my mind that I look in anybody is what kind of man or woman in some cases are you. I am actually enjoyed someone’s music and then when I find out about their private life that will make it or break it for me. I don’t believe in getting married if you’re going to cheat on your wife or your husband. I have actually stopped listening to different music artist when I find out that they cheated on their partner to me that says what kind of man you are and to me that’s everything to me. I’m so glad I finally ran across him because until I started listening to him George Strait was one of my favorite artists and then I would have to say Garth Brooks. Now that I’ve started listening to Chris is number one on my list he is my number one artist and then everyone else falls in place behind him. It’s kind of funny because we both have the same first name but I just wish I knew about him before I wish I could’ve seen him in concert thank goodness for UA-cam! Some mornings like this morning I wake up and I crank up my A/V gear And I turn the big screen on and I am a happy camper. He’s just such a man I mean he’s bigger than life! I’m so happy I ran across him somehow. May God bless him and I look forward to meeting him in in the afterlife. I’m writing this post because I hope his family and his children could read what I’m writing because to me he is everything!!! Love you Chris!!! GOD BLESS!!!

I, with my brother (bull rider) and my dad (retired military veteran) met Chris backstage about 25 years ago. Got to talk with him about riding and the military for about 30 minutes. Chris's dad was in the military, so he always had a love and appreciation for the military folks. As we were parting ways, my dad thanked him for the show and the lengthy talk. Chris actually shook my dad's hand and said "No. Thank YOU, sir, for your service to our country. I'm just a cowboy. You and my dad are true heros". The first time I've ever seen a tear come to my dad's eye.

This might get long winded so bare with me. I'm just discovering his music. I'm 45 and will listen to anything as long as it sounds good. Everything from Beethoven to Black Sabbath to N.W.A. to Tina Turner to Son House to Johnny Cash, and everything in between. I really didn't give country a chance until I was a teen in the 90s, and how couldn't you??? Brooks and Dunn, George Strait, Alan Jackson, etc. I had only heard his name mentioned in other songs, and all I can say is....damn. When I think of a country singer's voice, this is what I think of. Rest In Peace Chris, and thank you.

I've actually been listening to LeDoux's older songs more than his newer ones. Home Town Cowboy is one of my favorite songs because it describes my luck with a girl I grew up with, only I didn't have to attempt any bull riding for her to break my heart and start dating some guy from Wyoming. Copenhagen, Copenhagen Angel, and Used to Wanna be a Cowboy are some of my other favorite Chris LeDoux songs.

Gravitational Pull may not be considered a love ballad, but it's the most accurate love song anyone ever sang. Ever.

Had the privilege to see him at the neshoba county fair when I was a kid. He put on a great show and was very passionate about his music and fans.

An artist who didn't sell his soul to Satan, but rather embraced simplicity and authenticity and didn't need validation from corrupt music industry yet still broke through a bit to shine his talent. A true man's man

    Damn sure miss Chris.
Got to sit down and have a beer between sets in Stillwater when I was in school there.
He was a real regular guy that enjoyed a couple of talents he really didn’t talk about.
He just wanted to relax with a couple of other cowboys and bs a bit.
I’ll not ever forget it or him.
He was a really good guy.
