It's 2024, 22 years since he's been gone, people are still listening to his music, watching videos about him, interested in details of his life and talking about his contributions to the world of music. I'd say those are some pretty legendary achievements. I'm sure that would be something that would make him proud. Imagine being gifted with that sort of talent. What a great life he lived doing what he was born to do.

I got to see Waylon perform at Lollapalooza '95. He was sandwiched between the bands Rancid and The Ramones, playing for a crowd of alt-rock twenty-somethings. Waylon's first song went ok with the crowd, then he did "Always Been Crazy", crowd warmed up a little more. Then he did "Good Ol' Boys", and the crowd went bananas. Crowdsurfing, you name it. Waylon said to the crowd at the end of his set, "I hope ya'll enjoyed yourselves, I don't know if ya'll know what to make of me, but I thank you for listening just the same." What a legend.

I got to see him at Lolapallooza '95. He had his son Shooter playing with him, who was 13 or 14 at the time. Waylon was older then, but he still sounded great and the alt-rock 20-somethings there liked him, gave him a great reception. Favorite song: "Good Ol Boys", crowd surfing in full effect. Dude was a legend.

At the time I posted this I had not started getting into restoring the audio aspect of the videos on my channel. I just posted them exactly as they were in my collection. However, in the past year I've been correcting audio levels. I sure wish that UA-cam would allow us to upload a file to replace the original once we have posted it, but I don't see any way around just having to post it again when I correct the audio level. If I do that then I will put the new url in the description of this video.

Waylon could have sang rocknroll .and he was just as good as anyone who knows how to play guitar player he new how to play like the time Johnny cash needed a guitar player and some how Johnny cash told waylon you don't know who he could guitar player waylon said i know one Johnny cash said who he said me he said waylon i can't get you do that waylon would not be in the spot light but that didn't make anny different to him he played for Johnny cash said one thing he never for got that

I can hear a song like Amanda or Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys and be transported to a rodeo my dad would be roping at when I was just a short little fart. The sounds and smells all come back in an instant. That's powerful medicine.

Frustrating because CMT & other legacy channels either don’t exist or worse are insane zombies of the simple common sense initials these channels used to represent & the always fascinating artists they presented, was excited to watch something that used to respect viewers 1000% more than any of the sell out cable channels now. I wish ppl would boycott these sewer rat channels along w/ MTV & the like, wild no one seems reminiscent about the older interesting programming. MTV, is nit MUSIC tv it’s Moron tv, wild, they don’t have ANYTHING that concerns the topic, like anything that resembles music.
