LOL What a great parody! I'm sure that kid will forever "treasure" the Coke Product Manager's shirt over Polamalu's jersey - I LOVED how it ripped straight off like paper!
this is the first time i have heard about polamalu...good luck to you polamalu and all the polynesians who make it big in watever they aspire....GOD BLESS
@AonghusV My cousin's wife worked at the local children's hospital and she said he would come in all the time and meet with the kids. She said he is the nicest guy in the world!
That is the look of absolute astonishment, my friend. Because of Troy, that kid is gonna grow up to be man that kicks ass and takes names, possibly become a masked crime fighter, and legally change his name to TROYMAN!
How on earth did Troy sack the ad executive without spilling a drop of the Coke Zero? And you though the "quarterback sneak" play against the Titans was awesome.
Ah, nothing like making contemporary the old-school classics. Movie industry made movie versions of classic TV shows like Charlie's Angels, Dukes of Hazzard, Starsky and Hutch, original Star Trek, etc. Auto mechanics making like new again the classic cars. And now, the contemporary twist on a 1979 classic, featuring another Steeler at the time, Mean Joe Green.
revenge? Why would he get revenge? Not only did he accept the kid's gift of a Coke, but he tackled a thieving Brand manager to the ground, took back the coke, ripped the guys shirt off and gave it to him as a trophy of badassedry. Revenge?! HA! He should bow down to the awesomeness that is TROY PALOMALU
-This is hilarious. Who's seen the 1979 coca-cola commercial with "Mean Joe Green"? In the one with Mean Joe Green, he drinks the entire coke and gives the kid his jersey. However, he drinks the entire thing, on about 12 different takes of the commercial, feeling sick afterward. couldnt drink another coke 4 a month. That is why If you look closely Polamalu doesn't drink any. It was 2/3 full and when he was done it was still 2/3 full. He didn't want to get sick like Mean Joe Green. LOL
i hate the steelers, but i love this commercial. i love how the one guy gives his friend the coke when troy runs behind them. and i love how troy didnt give the kid his jersey.
+needles1987 I know it's a remake of the Mean Joe Greene coke commercial but now I understand the title. I don't believe I didn't figure it out sooner. Thanks for linking them together for me.
@sinaloaKartel87 you are so right. I am a die hard bengals fan, but I respect the hell out of this guy. he is good, professional, and like you said, humble. Tough as nails, but doesn't talk crap.
This is funny because Troy was limping until that guy took his Coca Cola.
🤣🤣
If I ever meet Polamalu i will give him the biggest hug ever. I love him
LOL What a great parody! I'm sure that kid will forever "treasure" the Coke Product Manager's shirt over Polamalu's jersey - I LOVED how it ripped straight off like paper!
2 years later, this is still my fave commercial of all time!
What about 13
Best part of this remake is the dah-dah-dah-dah-dah-dah song at the end.
Loved this one!
It still paid tribute to Mean Joe, but HILARIOUS this time.
True
Can't beat the original, but this was still great. Love Troy, such a humble person and a great player in our D!
The original is the best
" I'll meet you in the car .. " (runs away)
This commercial was hilarious and damn anyone who is butthurt over a parody.
+shocktrauma85 This was corny! The original one was the best!

+Funk&Friends You shut up. Everyone is could comment on this piece of crap.
Where is the joke. Wack crap.
Carolyn Howell triggered much?
IT WAS COKE ZERO. WHO THE FUCK LIKES COKE ZERO? WHO LIKES DIET ANYTHING FOR THAT MATTER?
Right. It's NOT going to be as good as the Joe Greene spot, because it's a parody of the Joe Greene spot.
The original is always better.
lol. sounds like YOU are the one who is upset.
Great commercial. I wish I was that kid. I love it. Future NFL Hall of Famer.
I watched the original in my English class today and then the teacher put this commercial on, me and my friends were laughing so hard. LOL!
The original was one of my favorite commercials of all time, this is a great parody, absolutely loved it.

0:33...AHHHH..LOL
GO TROY POLAMALU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nothing beats the original, just like how coke zero doesn't beat the original coke.
+Adam Krasnecki I don't think this was trying to beat it. It was more a of a little homage to the original
Rigved Goyal like a flashback. I get it.
Adam Krasnecki Yeah kind off. They added that little twist though to make it funny though
+Rigved Goyal Well, both of tem belong to coca cola so they really can do what ever they want with it.
Jonathan White Exactly.
The best remake of ANYTHING on TV in history!
That would be the best day ever for me...Watching Polamalu tackle like that.
lol "is he coming?" *hit stick*
and mean joe finished the coke in his video!
How on earth did Troy sack the ad executive without spilling a drop of the Coke Zero? And you though the "quarterback sneak" play against the Titans was awesome.
thanks for helping him.
Why is Troy so underrated?
He is not. Everyone in the NFL respects him as the best safety of their time.
First ballot hall of fame and underrated you say? What?
oooooo eres el mejor pOlAmAlu TKm siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
the kids like YAY i got some guys shirt!
i love dis commercial it was funny!!!!

this is soooo funny . idk y i never saw this on tv
HEY THAT WAS FOR ME!
@Captaincrab77 The ruling on the field is, the pass is good on account of we couldn't see through Troy's awesome hair.
what puzzles me when i watch these damn commercials is how do the kids keep getting in the god damn tunnel????
I wonder if you people realize this was a parody
I think most of us do given the fact the 1979 version with Mean Joe is one of the most famous ads in history.
Tony Kellogg it was 1980
Filmed in 1979, televised in 1980 ;)
No no no, this is definitely original
There you go young money gabe!
Gotta love Troy Steelers
lol....at first I thought it was like the original, good stuff.
yea there is but in an old episode i kept trying to find it but i can't lol
revenge? Why would he get revenge? Not only did he accept the kid's gift of a Coke, but he tackled a thieving Brand manager to the ground, took back the coke, ripped the guys shirt off and gave it to him as a trophy of badassedry.

Ben Roethlisberger would have a poke and a smile. 😂
This remake was okay. I love the original one with "Mean" Joe Greene. Nothing beats the original.

Hey that's the Progressive "Homeowners Turning Into Their Parents" guy. Fun.
I like how there was more in the bottle after he drank it than before
Troy and the kid sound the same haha
Those coke brand managers tho😂😂😂
would've been funnier if troy took the guy's wallet and tossed it to the kid. LOL
i hate the steelers, but i love this commercial. i love how the one guy gives his friend the coke when troy runs behind them. and i love how troy didnt give the kid his jersey.
Mean Joe Greene approved of the commercial as well.
ROFLMAO! I thought he was going to throw his jersey at him! XDD
That would've been cool...if the Samoan grabbed the dude and said "Hey kid, Catch!" and threw the dude at him!
LMAO ILL MEET U IN THE CAR THAT WAS GREAT
Lol after he drinks it there's the same amount of coke inside haha
T-R-O-Y the best of all!
I wish I would have had the reference of the Joe Greene commercial when I first saw this.
He should’ve asked if he wanted a sprite cranberry
this was a great commercial, but it will never beat the original
YEAAAAA
THATS A NINJA KID
Troy Polamalu just crushed that man!!! hahaha
is he coming? is he coming?!?!?!
Powww..!
you have to see the oringial superbowl comercial... Its makes it 10X funnier
The Family Guy parody is the best...
@TheFatmerrill Hell yeah
He owes his great hair to head and shoulders
This commercial was NOT for Super Bowl XIII as that was in 1979 and Troy wasn't even at USC then!
+Lee V lol he wasn't even born yet
+Lee V This is a remake of a commercial made in 1979.
+needles1987 I know it's a remake of the Mean Joe Greene coke commercial but now I understand the title. I don't believe I didn't figure it out sooner. Thanks for linking them together for me.
