I'm glad you kept the stripe. Gives the piece a little bit of it's own history.
I remrmber when I first saw the white 2+2 fastback. It was in a harding's store back in 1967. It was in the matchbox display I wanted that car so badly, yet, I came from a very large and very poor family. So no dice. Just a memorie from the old past it came to me while I was watching your restoration vidio. Takes me way back. I am sixty five years old now but I still love my ford mustangs.
I like that you respected the previous childs vision, came out really nice.
Heartwarming to see how a kid put it‘s enthusiasm into the little Mustang and you carried over it‘s dream into such a nice resto. 🥇
Glad you kept the stripe. A reminder that these are toys after all, and gave us a thrill when we discovered a new model to study and imagine with.
This Pure White High Gloss Mustang Is Absolute In Its Original 1960s Painted Colors!!! Beautiful She Is Completely Recreated In All Her Past Glories!!! Got To Appreciate Rob's Great Workings He Put into This Great Piece Of Memorial Attributed To This Ford Mustang A True Classic And Beautiful Muscle car A Real Important One A Great Piece Of USA Manufacturing As A Masterpiece That Went To The Top Of Worlds Best Muscle Car!!! Thanks Rob For Letting Us All See Her As Young An True As The Day She Was Made!!!
The child would love it now, awesome restoration.
It always amazes me how much detail Lesney put into some of these older castings. You don’t always see that anymore. Great job on this one! I have a soft spot for the early Mustangs. My dad restored a 65 convertible when I was really young. He never kept it, he restored it and sold it, but he took the family out for one ride before it was gone.
That came out really clean and sharp, keeping the strip and leaving it off center was the right choice. All the little details really make this restore pop.
I'm pleased you kept it the same as the child wanted it! I wouldn't mind a real one 😃
The grille looks dead on to the full size car. You knocked it out of the park on that. The stripe is perfect to what the original painter wanted. Love this fastback style.
Your attention to previous childrens modifications is so great, I remember the crane on the Dinky commer breakdown truck. It makes the cars so unique. 😍
Fantastic work as always. A great restoration
great job keeping the child's dream alive.
Nice touch with keeping the strip. I think we all can remember the first time we “customized” our Matchbox or Hot Wheels. Another job well done!
Lovely result, this Ford Mustang, for me, is one of the best castings from Lesney. Great idea to keep the red stripe, it looks better than flat white. 👍
Ford Mustang are my all time favourite classic in Bullit 1968.
You’ve excelled yourself with this model. The red stripe sets off the whole car. Thanks for the video.
A lovely tribute to a childhood past
Love the soothing background music these videos are so relaxing especially during a time of quarantine
