Btw, since it wasn’t mentioned in the video (probably recorded before the numbers were discovered), each ionic trace pickup equates to 2% super energy. Pretty much what I was expecting and pretty much the make-or-break threshold for this exotic imo, on paper anyway.
An interesting note about Coldheart: You can actually tap-fire the weapon to spin-up the damage increase without using as much ammo to maximize ammo efficiency. This works because the ramp-up mechanic actually has a small "grace period" in case you miss a bit.
As always, a fantastic breakdown of the mechanics of this class. A LOT going on and it’s great to gain a better understanding of the interactions. Appreciated!
Since its a build focused on super, I suggest using Spark of Amplitude together with the Arc Syphon since they stack making it generate two orbs every two kills, which can be really helpful to add more super energy for you and your team Also, this combo is really good on hunter with Star Eater
spark of amplitude, ion and firepower/heavy handed, create three orbs off of a melee or grenade granted there's enough enemies and you're using spark of shock which lets your grenade jolt
I kept a “Dark Decider” 720 RPM Rapid fire Auto Riffle (Anti-Barrier) from Iron Banner with Voltshot so I can use ThunderLord with this build. Scouts are Unstoppable and there’s a ton of good Kinetic Scouts like Nightwatch, Hung Jury, Nameless Midnight, Randy’s Throwing Knife, Glissando, Last Right, etc. Food for thought for everyone. Great video. Keep ‘em coming.
Love the title lol, probably gonna get changed later though Also gotta respect that you included a link for both dim and mobalytics. Too many content creators abandoning dim entirely in favor of the latter (I’m assuming you’ve got a partnership or something).
Great and easy to follow video, subscribed and thanks for the build info, this looks like a LOT of fun. I tend to play Destiny like CoD and always forget to use my Space Magics, BUT your way of playing looks like MUCH MORE FUN, thanks man!
Normally I don't like playing arc lock, I feel like amplified messes with my movement so much but damn this build feels so good right now I'm loving it
Ive been using a very similar build for a while now. I use Path of least resistance though, its got voltshot and with the right fragment causes a blinding explosion, which just means more traces. Take my baby thunderlord for the exotic, i just love it.
Centrifuse is an excellent choice here as well (Catalyst required) So long as you stay amplified, which is easy here, your gun kills will blind opponents, which when they die will give you ion traces
Nice this is almost exactly the Arc build I have been running since the start of 22. I'll give it a go with the Spark of Ions instead of Amplitude. Don't have any good Voltshot weapons but I was using an Osmosis Last Breath (it's weak but it stuns Barriers) plus Delicate Tomb for Unstoppables. Also been using Proximity Ward for survival but Recuperation is always good and would match better with Amplitude.
Delicate tomb for easy stuff where you can rack up kills cold heart for gms and harder stuff where sustained damage is good I think this may just be one of the new best warlock exotics
Sparks of Ions, Shock, and Discharge are always must haves, and I'm glad to see this build making it to the surface! It's simple, it creates tons of Ionic Traces, and you can use it with every build you want to make! Spark of Resistance is very popular, but I love to run Spark of Amplitude which can give you an additional Orb of Power when you defeat targets while being amplified. Together with Siphon, you can create up to two Orbs per enemy, which goes extremely well with Recuperation. Having two Orbs spawned in means immediate health back and better survivability for me, plus the DR from Speed Booster. Maybe someone finds it worth testing, whoever reads this. But this 4th slot is the one everyone can fiddle around with. Heck, you can even equip Spark of Beacons and make a blinding build out of it. Amazing build, amazing display! God, I love Arclock and your build! I hope everyone will test it!
Spark of Resistence is popular because it's nearly *required* for high level content like GMs and solo masters and whatnot. The survivability is so incredibly important.
4 years ago; @AztecrossGaming talked about what he called Curse of Chaos. A Chaos Reach build that used Geomag Stableizers and Bad Juju. Much like what you about, Geomag; he adds Bad Juju to the mix because of String of Curses. This grants super energy upon kills. With all those new buffs granting ionic traces; the added super energy from Bad Juju and the fact to can now off the last 25% needed to fill your super. Bad Juju and the Curse of Chaos should not be overlooked.
With delicate tomb, and a kinetic assult rifle, does that cover every champion trait? fusion rifle artifact mod for unstoppable, assult rifle artifact mod for barrier, and jolt effect for overload. I may be wrong
I decided to try these out for some extra punch in the new altars activity and it ROCKS. Coldheart carries. I don't even notice that I'm not wearing sunstar with how much energy I'm getting.
love the arc warlock i would state there a great second weapon that makes this build way stronger now use the new side arm from WR dungeon and it can get jolt shot as well and you get your super fast as hell
im trying to decide if i should use this one or keep the rift arc build (the one with vesper of radius) i watched of yours that i've been using for a while. I love it so much and really do not wanna let it go, but if this is better I might have to rethink.
Love your videos and I can’t wait to get home from work to try this build out. Would love your take on the EX DIRIS exotic. Just got it yesterday morning and I love it. Hard to choose between it and my trace tho…
Not convinced I’ll prefer this to my fallen sunstar/ vesper of radius builds, worth giving it a shot but I doubt that the super buff will make up for the sheer amount of mid game potential those two exotics give the build, especially in master level content
This is the hard truth. I was looking for more people in the comments like you, and i finally found one. JUST USE SUNSTAR!!! It is infinitly better than geomags.
Hey Mactics, in regards to effects that have Multikill requirements that scale with enemy tier like the Ionic Trace spawn and Unrelenting, do you know if majors and ultras roll over additional value into your next proc? If I’m 2/3rds the way to a proc and I killed a major, am I 1/3rd the way to my next proc as well? I’m assuming not but the thought came to mind while watching the video.
Sun star will still do it faster if you use mods like ashes to assets and retribution since 4 ionic traces (2 with double bomber) regenerate all of your abilities except súper to full
@@TheWitness27 you’re right, its still extremely fast but over not faster than geo at supers. I prefer abilities in addition to super generation for me though

A crafted Tarnished Mettle is the best VS legendary weapon for non-raiders - Demo/VS. For raiders, Posterity with VS/(Frenzy or Rampage)
