You have cleaned a lot of different wheels, but I don't think I have seen you ever show how you would matte black wheels. Any suggestions?
Stop it Pan, you are making me to go outside and clean my wheels at 9PM... :P
Awesome video mate.
Hehehe that's the beauty about our madness and OCD for car detailing! Sometimes I'll go in my garage at 2 am to detail my car (yes I sleep late)... :)
I used to be a car valeter but not as in depth as yourself, valet cars the usual process but now i clean mine on a basis when it gets dirty, but watching your channel gives me a different way of cleaning.
+steven jones
Nice to hear that I can share tips and tricks even to people who were in the business! 👍🏻
I find my EZ wheel brush leaves very fine scratches on my diamond cut wheels and covers my face in lots of annoying black splash back altogether it cleans brilliantly .
Prefer the wheel woolie brush experience with one exception being the handle gets slippery and difficult to grip when soaped up . 👍
No need to wait and like it because i know this will be a good video
Heheheh awesome!!!
What's your favorite video on my channel so far?
Pan TheOrganizer the one i really liked is the how to start a auto detailing bussiness but the one i pefer what the detailing of a used car

I love this stuff! I like to keep all of my cars and trucks clean & I like to keep on top of what works best, I also like how Pan The Organizer keeps it simple and easy for me to understand.
Thanks for the comment, I really appreciate it, as one of my goals is exactly that, to keep things as simple as possible (because detailing can become very complex) and share my tips, tricks, experiences and which products or equipment I recommend to do a good job!

What does Pan mean? Is that short for your name?
Excellent review once again, quality content. Just the review I was looking for with exactly the brushes I was considering. Great work Paaaaan!
Thanks!
Pan TheOrganizer I have this: www.amazon.ca/Chemical-Wheel-Brush-Short-Handle/dp/B00N8RHDPW/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=wheel+brush+wheel+woolies+boar&qid=1591513546&sr=8-6 and the Daytona speedmaster already. Would the wheel Woolies boar brush be any better than the chemical guys?
I impressed with your presentation. everything discuss in short and easy way.
Thanks Gulzar! How did you discover my channel?
I have a brush similar to the Ammo wheel brush, but I want to mention the metal band. I use large heat shrink tube over that metal band to prevent accidental scratching if the metal hits the rim.
Good tip!
Thanks, Pan! Just talked with you about how I watched your videos and what brushes you use. Don't know how I missed this video about brushes. But I like what I saw. You didn't mention how much the individual brushes cost. Just got my Rigid vacuum cleaner and STANLEY power 1900 psi washer. Now I am working for a extractor. What brand would you suggest I get that the middle of the road in cost but gets the job done? Thanks, For your input. Shawn.
I didn't talk about prices because depending on which country you live in, prices fluctuate drastically, hence why I always put links in the description for some countries so people can check them out.
For an extractor, here's a popular one for many detailers, that's not expensive: amzn.to/3hjGonf
I am watching this because I am thinking which barrel brush is best for my Toyota 86. Thanks Pan!
Pan, what are the bristles on the speed master brush made of? Even though they are flagged on the tips, is there a risk of scratches over time?
Hey Pan. Another great video. I have pretty much the same wheels as you but in black on my 2018 M2. I have always cleaned the barrels of my rims with my microfiber wash mitt sticking my hands and half my arm deep into the barrel to clean. Cleans well, however not the most comfortable way to clean rims. I recently bought the speed master wheel brush and found that really didn’t do that great of a job. Left behind break dust residue despite using the same amount of soapy solution as I usually do. Any thoughts?
Pan, wondering if you can answer a question for me. I have a Silverado with black painted factory wheels. Is it safe to use Chemical Guys Decon Pro Iron Remover and Signature wheel cleaner on them or will that damage the paint? Also do you use both of those products to clean the wheels or can you just use the iron remover as a regular cleaner as well? Also wanted to know what iron remover you use for the actual painted vehicle panels... I thought I saw you use IronX in one video before but didn't know if you have to use 2 different iron removers for the car itself and the wheels. I would think if you say I can use the decon pro on my painted wheels I can use it on the painted body panels too. But wanted to ask the pro.
Thanks for the review Pan. Getting the right brush for particular wheels seems a little trial and error. I have the same 19” wheels on my 2014 Audi you had on your 2013. Did your favorite face brush work on those skinny slots?
Hello Pan. When do you replace your brushes? Awesome video and thank yo for all the help!!!!
I only replace them when they look visually damaged or beyond dirty, that even an all purpose cleaner won't clean. It's very rare you have to replace good brushes, especially if you take care of them. I rinse mine after each use, and soak in an APC overnight if it was used for heavy grim and oily bits (like engine bay detailing).
Great video...I've been wanting to get some good wheel brushes and this video surly helps 👍
+Kyle Fonrose
Thanks Kyle!
Hi pan!
Could you do a video on cleaning a cheap old car wheel? I have a 2003 Toyota Camry and the wheel has a plastic cover on it. And if you remove the plastic cover there’s nothing for a brush to get into. It’s just metal. Was wondering how you would clean those types of wheels and what brush and products you’d use. Especially in caring for the plastic cover as well
I got the Maxshine Speedmaster and the handle came flying off on just the second wheel of my car. The last time I got something of such pathetic quality was when my parents bought me a toy drum-kit when i was just 4 years old. With each excited beat of my drumstick came a massive hole in each of the drums, ending with the crescendo of the tiny little cymbal coming crashing down.... I'm 37 now and and had managed to put this absolutely shattering experience behind me. However, the Maxshine brought back all the memories I had worked so hard to suppress... OK I'll shut up now and watch the video :D
Yeah I had that too with that kind of brush.
Just spend the money and buy the Original Autogeek Speedmaster made by EZ Detail… Maxshine is just a knockoff, the SpeedMaster will last you forever with proper care.
2:00 Is this chemical guys wheel brush safe on gloss black wheels? Which one do you recommend? I purchased a new Porsche and the wheels are gloss black and looking for a good brush to clean them.. Thanks Pan
On gloss black wheels like on my new Porsche 911 Turbo S, I use soft microfiber brushes and mitts. These:
Microfiber Madness Incrediflair (wheel mitt): bit.ly/3pRfFUC
Microfiber Madness Incredimitt: bit.ly/3QRrohU

Hey pan love your videos! Very helpful since I’m trying to start a wash service. I I have a question for wheel treatment though, is it safe to use purple power as a degreaser and safe to use microfiber towel to clean?? Budgeting is my main concern right now and with your videos available it should go with out saying THANK YOU
Hi Miquel. Yes you can use Purple Power to degrease tires, but I would rather recommend a dedicated wheel and tire cleaner like P&S Brake Buster which I reviewed here: ua-cam.com/video/AoecVluB4Po/v-deo.html
Also, watch my popular wheel cleaning tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/Ty4ZTq7A7rc/v-deo.html
Pan to say that your good is a understatement.
What products do you suggest for brake dust.
CarPro IronX.
The wheels that you are showing I could clean with a rag because of the big spaces between the spokes. My new Mazda has wheels that need something small and skinny to get in-between the spokes. Maybe the small wheel woolly would work but I would never use the bigger sizes.
The EZ Detail Brush is perfect for getting behind tight spokes. That's what I use on my girlfriend's Mazda CX-5 as she has the tight multiple spokes on her 17 inch wheels.
Pan, my tire brush is covered with tire grime and gel, I tried to wash it off but it doesn't come off. Should I throw it away or keep using the same brush after washing it with water? It's a brand new brush lmao
Were did you find the rubber gloves /were do you buy them at because I need some for cleaning my car
Great review, own the wheel woolies and the EZ brush, EZ by far the best for cleaning wide wheel barrel with large brakes. Much easier to wash the EZ brush clean after use
Thanks for watching!
Bought the speed master wheel brush in both sizes after watching this 😁👍🏻 I hope they are great 👌🏻 quite expensive to get them delivered to sweden 😅👍🏻
Thanks for watching Johan!
what do you use for the Wheel Wells? I saw you used a mother's long brush in previous videos. Is it advisable to use the same brush for the wells and tires? I'm currently using Wheel Woolies for both my Wheels and Wells; I haven't been focusing on cleaning the Tires. Now i'm thinking that's a really bad idea.
For wheel wells, I use the mothers wheel brush. I wouldn’t use it on wheels. For tires, you need a stiff bristle brush.
How do you clean your wheel brushes? I used mine to clean my engine bay last year and the grease from it settled for a year
Normally, just a rinse with a pressure washer. But in your case, let them soak overnight first, in a bucket with some degreaser or all-purpose cleaner.
I love this video Pan, I actually have, and use, 2 of your top 3 brushes! After watching your car detailing videos and using your techniques I always get compliments on how my car looks! I tell them I learned from the best, PanTheOrganizer!! Keep up the great work.
+Todd Halstead
Hehe awesome! Thanks Todd!
Which 2 brushes do you own?
Pan TheOrganizer I have the speed brush and the boars hair black brush!
+Todd Halstead
👍🏻
Pan have you compared the EZ-Detail/Speedmaster wheel brushes to the Maxshine wheel brush? Curious as to if the Maxshine is as soft as the other two brands.
No it’s not
Hi Pan, greetings from New Brunswick!!! thanks for the informative video. I knew a fair amount about auto detailing, but since discovering your channel, I’ve learned a tremendous amount more. That’s a nice BMW by the way. I’ve always liked that make of car.
Thanks!
I get a new car every three years, so I hope you saw my new BMW in my reveal video: ua-cam.com/video/Isiy3WQx5qM/v-deo.html
Hi Pan, I’m going to view the video on the reveal of your new car. A good friend of mine just recently got a new BMW,--such a nice car!!!
Which model did he get?
Hi Pan, it’s a 3 series. I’m not sure which exact model, but I will be visiting him next week. I’ll let you know. Great video.
Excellent video! You should've taken the wheel off and layed it flat and tested each one with a section of the wheel to see which inner tire cleaner was more effective!
That would have made for a longer production time and miss the goal which was really to focus on the brushes, and less on the technique... ;)
But thanks for the comment!
Pan TheOrganizer sir how can contect you
Hey Pan, out of curiosity: why recommend the Speed Master over the Gyeon Microfibre? Secondly, does the microfibre part of the Gyeon brush come off for brush cleaning?
Things have changed a bit since this video. To clean delicate wheels, this is the brush I now use: bit.ly/3zi9zCp
That brush has a removable microfiber cover, that can be washed or replaced as needed. I use that brush for the inner barrels of my Porsche's wheels.
For wheel faces, I use this: bit.ly/3ogAPuI
And for tires, this: amzn.to/3B2mt8D
@@PanTheOrganizer Awesome, thanks for the great, thorough, advice as always Pan.
I love my Speedmaster and SwissVax detailing brush.
👍🏻
Has super clean ever hurt your metals or plastics on your cars and do you use in on wheel wells too? I was looking at it because it was cheap but it has a corrosive in so I was weary buying it.
If used correctly and rinsed off immediately after use, it should never give you problems. I use it diluted 3:1 or 4:1 and never had any issues. But I don't use it as a wheel cleaner. I use it as a tire degreaser. For the wheels, you're better off using a dedicated wheel cleaner.
Thanks so much! Have you tried using it on the undercarriage near the suspension and such like above the tire?
Pan, is the Wheel Woolies Boar’s Hair wheel brush soft enough not to scratch the face of gloss black painted wheels? Would you recommend using something MF instead?
On gloss black wheels, I recommend using microfiber mitts and brushes. Here's what I use:
Brush: bit.ly/42fsJp3
Wheel mitt: bit.ly/40aZ6Ut

Yup great brush!
I smashed the thumbs up button but broke my computer in the process. Do you have insurance????
Just kidding Pan. Great vid I'd love to see something similar with wash mitts. Like microfiber vs synthetic wool vs microfiber towels? Idk. Also "detail sprays". There are so many and I don't even know if they work. Just rambling on but those are my immediate thoughts.
LOLOLOL !!!! Awesome comment Froylan! Thanks for the vote of confidence! Good ideas, if they come up often, I'll produce those videos. ;)

I'm in Orange County California...Halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego.

Pan TheOrganizer Yes I am really enjoying your videos. I can never tell the difference in between americans and canadians. Are you american or canadian and from which state?

I’m Canadian and I live in Montreal (province of Quebec).
Pan TheOrganizer You live in the best country in the world. My dream is to live in Canada. I worked in the USA 12 years ago and I worked for White Water West from BC, Canada. They are the biggest waterslide company in the world.
Take care!
What country are you watching from?
Excellent video and very informative.
Thanks! How did you discover my channel?
@@PanTheOrganizer I just searched "Wheel Cleaning" thanks again.
Do you have a video showing tire cleaning including getting behind the spokes? I want to know if there is a trick to knowing when you've cleaned it properly without taking the whole wheel off.
If you take your time with a wheel brush like the Speed Master or EZ Detail Brush, you should be able to get 90-95% of the inner barrel clean. No need to do wheels off service just for a maintenance wash.
Pan TheOrganizer Would you recommend periodic wheels off service? In my case, I didn’t really take care of the car for years and only recently started cleaning it, so it was pretty dirty.
what is your recommendation for inner barrel 2021 4Runner TRD wheels,
The EZ Detail or Speed Master brushes.
Hi I didn't you done two videos about the same thing one in English and another one, very confusing LOL, I used to clean the wheels with the woolies but I find the blue EZ one is brilliant to use but they all good.
+steven jones
Yup they're all good, it's a question of personal taste and what wheel cleaning routine you have.
I usually produce two versions of each video, one in English and one in French.
How did you discover my channel?
I have 18 inch wheels with those bmw brakes and have almost no room to get a wheel woolie in.
What do you recommend ?
+maxim913
Speedmaster brush.
Hey Pan. If Ez Detail makes the speed master also, what is the difference, besides the color, of the Speedster and their Blue Ez Detail brush?
The Speedmaster has a thicker reinforced stem. Other than that, they’re almost identical.
Pan TheOrganizer oh ok thanks!
You're using Super Clean on the tires😍!
Glad to see that you have joined the Super Clean bandwagon Pan!
Yes and it won my top degreaser in my annual best car detailing products awards video. Here’s the video if you haven’t seen it: ua-cam.com/video/AnT7vhvgc58/v-deo.html
Pan TheOrganizer I remember that giveaway you did back then, because I smashed the thumbs up on that video, but I don't remember your award for Super Clean. Gonna have to watch that video again looks like...
Great video Pan!
+Tim datoolman
Thanks Tim!
i need to order that red brush for the barrel of the wheel asap
Yeah you're going to love it. Great to get into those hard to reach places behind calipers or big rotors like mine.
Hey Pan .. May I know whats the wash solution you have used ?
+naveen reddy salukuti
For wheels, I love Ammo Brute wheel soap.
LOL my EZ Detail brushes break in the same spot too due to bending them over and over to get behind the spokes
What kind of brush do you recommend to clean wheel wells ?..
+Raymond perez
Mothers fender brush wheel. You can see it in action in my "How to clean wheels like a pro" video. The Speed Master and EZ Detail brushes can also do a good job.
Hi Pan, sometimes when I brush my wheels with a tire brush they are still brown afterward. What am I doing wrong? Used AMMO wheel soap.
I meant my tires, when I brush my tires, they are brown afterward, shouldn't they be clean?
+giants22
That’s because you’re not degreasing your tires. You need to spray a degreaser on the tires (like Super Clean or Meguiar’s Super Degreaser) and scrub. Soap alone doesn’t remove the brown.
Ahhh, ok. Thanks for the advice, I'll get me some degreaser for sure!
I was hoping you'd show us how to clean the wheel wells as well. Its hard to find a brush (for wheel wells) that will fit a tight space such as your BMW.
+Ramon Jose Suarez
Hi Ramon!
I already did a video where I show how to clean fender wells and what brush to use: ua-cam.com/video/Byfk0LptIhQ/v-deo.html

Hi from Canada! 🇨🇦. What country are you from?
Same here haha
Is the speedmaster wheel brush safe for painted wheels? I'm concerned about scratching the finish.
You shouldn't worry about scratching. The Speed Master I only use for the inner barrels. For the outside face of the wheels, use the Wheel Woolies boar hair brush, or the new Detail Factory brushes that I reviewed in this video: ua-cam.com/video/ciE8Fgu0mqc/v-deo.html
Love the videos, but I need to know the song in your intro. If you could let me know, it would be appreciated.

After the hurricane I have orange rust on my rotors....what would you do pan?
Just go back and forth in your driveway by applying the brakes, that should get rid of the surface rust.
If there's more rust, then maybe have it inspected by your mechanic.
@@PanTheOrganizer thank you!
@@PanTheOrganizer it worked I can relax now thank you!
Does it have to be a brush made for wheels cleaning? or any brush from the grocery store could do the job?
I would stick to automotive detailing tools as those have been made for that purpose and won’t harm the finish of your wheels.
Pan TheOrganizer
Would it be okay if I try to find soft brushes at the grocery store? Because it’s quite hard to find detailing brushes where I live.
What country are you watching from?
Pan TheOrganizer
Saudi Arabia
Speed master vs EZ Detail Brush? looks like they both come with the knuckle guard now so whats the difference rly?
They’re made by the same company I believe. Very minor differences if any.
What size generator would u recommend for mobile detailing? Thanks

That would depend on your needs and what equipment you're running. Hard to tell as I operate from my house.
Pan TheOrganizer OK thanks for the reply.

My pleasure!
First time I've seen a nylon brush to win over a Wheel Woolie for barrel cleaning.
There’s always a first time to everything.
Hi Pan, I'm starting a waterfree car detail business next month here in Spain, do this brushes work well without water? Thank you for your great advises
Brushes and waterless don’t really play well together. But I don’t specialize in waterless services so it would be hard for me to answer.
Wow seems I have almost all except all the brand Wheel Woolies; exc 3 size ones.
Cool! After that video, I got to try the Microfiber Madness Incredibrush Flat. My new favorite wheel brush. Have you seen my MF Madness review video?
Loving the intro!!

👍🏻
what is the name of the German made brush i like to order one
Pan what do you use for the wheel wells?
A Mother’s fender well brush.
Have you tried the ez detail go, the medium size like round one, for the wheel well? Do you think it can be better than the mothers? I don’t know if the ez scratch the plastic
I have not tried that version.
Pan TheOrganizer ok thank you
You should try the incredibrush from microfiber madness its awesome!!!Good Video!👍

Yes I know that brush quite well. Great brush. Reminds me of the Gyeon brushes.
What’s a god wheel cleaner. Seen so many don’t know which to choose from?
Have you watched my 2017 detailing products awards video? Here: ua-cam.com/video/AnT7vhvgc58/v-deo.html
I like Sonax Wheel Cleaner Plus or Sonax Wheel Cleaner Full Effect.
Ive found that no brush can compete with a wash glove and getting your fingers into every nook and cranny the brushes wont.
Got a link to the one you use? Is it faster or slower to clean the rim face using the glove bs brush?
Love all your videos

Pan TheOrganizer watching from the south of you USA Tennessee state. Love them keep them coming
...I always seem to miss a spot on my wheels..... lol Or my challengers brake dust is floating around and hiding then latches back onto the rim like a symbiotic relationship when i'm not looking
Hehehe. A trick to help to prevent brake dust from sticking as much and make the wheels easier to clean is to coat them with a spray-on rinse-off silica spray, like in my wheel cleaning tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/Ty4ZTq7A7rc/v-deo.html
what size is that ammo brush. a 10 or a 14
My brushes keep hitting the silly "tin" shield. They're rusted to bajeebus and back again, so the first time I washed the wheels I knocked a chunk off. Looks like I'll be taking those off, ugg what a pain in the neck.
I sank a shot every time you said 'super soft'
I passed out before the video finished, did the wheel come up nice and clean?,lol.
+A Fool With A Tool
😂 I'll let this comment slide as I actually laughed. Hopefully you'll take time to watch my other videos. If you like car detailing, it should be a no brainer.

You’re EZ detail is missing the long extra handle with the rubber stop. It looks exactly like the speed master wheel brush a stiffer stem and thicker handle.
The blue brush went through a lot.. it used to look a lot more like the red one before... ;)
How did you discover my channel?
can the wheel woolies boar hair brush be used on the tyres?
No. The bristles are too soft.

Merci !!!
Comment as-tu découvert ma chaîne?
I told you about instagram
What's written on the wood handle of the AMMO brush?
There's nothing written on it. It's just a wood handel.
Thanks! However, that's interesting. The photo of the brush on his website has "made in Germany" and the number "10" on the handle.
Maybe those are new batches. I purchased the big one and the smaller one years ago, when Larry had just launched them. They're still going strong. Expensive, but worth every penny.
The wire that’s wrapped around the ammo brush is it supposed to stay on there or what???
You can remove it, I let it there as I like that it keeps the bristles together.
Pan TheOrganizer thanks brother ! I’ll leave it on too....
Sorry, but $60 for the Ammo wheel brush!!!!! That's daylight robbery. There's many many decent wheel brushes for less than half that price.
The nylon brushes all do scratches into the clear coat... the less friction the better so i will chiose sonax full effect
How about fender well brushes? :)
+Eric Nguyen
They’re great for fender wells and engine details.
Can the easy detail brushes scratch?
As bristles are made out of a non-microfiber material, if you do repeated use on high gloss black wheels, it might micro-scratch the surface on that specific type of wheels. But on any other finish, I have never noticed any form of scratching.
Thanks. Yes I do have black gloss oem Chevy wheels
What hose nozzle are you using?
Higg end Eley Hose reels garden hose attachment, polyurethane hose and hose reel. 😎
Pan TheOrganizer where can I get one?
Rubber knob came off my brush last week, noticed after cleaning wheels; just seen my wheels scratched to hell :(
The tuff shine amazon link you gave are for knockoffs
Yeah they're not always available on Amazon unfortunately. Here is the Tuf Shine brush on another website, and it's usually always in stock: bit.ly/2VHWZIk
