6'1 concerned citizen. I uhh hated this pack till i adjusted it for long torso. Appreciate USMC publishing this publicly
Almost the best instruction how to set up this pack on the entire planet. Thank you very much!!!
Just got mine set up, and this video was a total life saver.
It came set up short torso, but even me being 5’6”, I needed the long torso config (legs never grew 😂) so this was super helpful!
Batallion hike tomorrow and IIF issued me a deconstructed pack. 20min later and it's all together. Incredibly helpful video!
hi. Do you think it’s possible to get this backpack for a civilian like me ?$
Very helpful. Appreciate all you that serve our country!! Love all the gear. Godbless
Excellent production. Great job team!
Good job updating the video. Please keep up the good work in putting relevant information out. I hope to see more of these videos as new equipment is fielded. There is no short torso setting. This is affecting Marines with short torsos.
Glad we could help! Please reach out to mcscpao@usmc.mil with your concerns and we'll see if we can help connect you with someone who can help.
Not a marine, but I'm a US citizen and I love the USA....marines are awesome and love learning about the awesomeness of our military........I wonder if it would be a good idea to put an ?inline? water filter and/or purifier on the hose of the water bladder........possibly even have easily switchable mouth pieces.......one mouthpiece is for purified water.......and then easily detach it and put on another that can evenly put some sort of electrolyte mix directly into the flow that is being sucked on at any particular moment.........possibly put one in mres or something........maybe a bit of hose extension to allow some backflow of the electrolyte mix once suction is ceased...........anyways, happy 4th of July and Gods bless the USA I hope and the Marine Corps even more
maybe if the Marines had as much funding as the airforce does we would have the purify thing but we make due with what we have and that's why we have a MOS for making consumable water from ocean water.
@@syre2508 eh, get the army, the navy or the Air Force TO find it then……I thought you marines were suppose to be like the Indians or the Spartans, all resourceful like
Plenty of capital to be sourced from afield and afar, not to mention a marine venture we’re something like that is made m and even profited by the marines…..don’t be so fucking boring
@@samburdge9948 I literally said "we make due with what with got" did you not read that?
There is actually an attachment for the hose for inline filtering
Great video! My POG butt learned all kinds of new tricks with this system.
Excellent tip for putting a heavy ruck on the knee instead of hoisting it onto the shoulders or the traditional over the head. I had over 100 pounds in beer and groceries in this ruck the other day and I I could have probably picked it up and put it over my head but on the knee works great and is much less effort and potential to fall over.
Great video
I'm not a marine, just a civilian and I use a FILBE for longer hikes. Instead of the standard 1606 frame and harness, I mounted the main pack on a Mystery Ranch Nice Frame and it fits perfectly.
The best system thus far.
This is some good trash right here. Found this video first week in the fleet and got a “good to go” from my Cpl. Thanks for the help. Kill.
Thanks for instructions. I tried this frame for tourism, with long torso settings, still, it feels too short, not very convenient (I'm 187cm). There really should be frames of different sizes.
Nice vid man! New sub here. Do you have a link where I can get these bags? Thank you!
@Shocknutz 🤣🤣🤣
Can anybody sell me this backpack and ship into uk ?
Why am I doing this myself?
what, wait, it was not made 1000 cu in larger? how did Marines ever get by before this pack. I thought the large ALICE was big
Is this FILBE? Or have they come up with a new one?
If you’re watching this you’re on MCT rn 😂
Literally, hotel company.
Nope in the fleet. They gave me all my shit in pieces just like this
5'7" is standard? WTF?
They let a bunch of mexicans in
All modern Western military packs are too heavy, have too much molle webbing on them and most of the straps are too long. You try moving through dense forest or jungle and if your excess straps are not taped up they snag and get caught up and the molle loops everywhere do exactly the same only more often. I know this one product has to fit many different environments and differant sized and shaped people but it shouldn't be so difficult, I could design a better pack and I'm no engineer. Also this pack is far too complicated for the average service man
I'm not sure what you find to be difficult. You can have this thing stripped down and put back together in a few minutes once you learn how. Just like everything else in life, you have to learn how it works. You didn't come out of momma knowing how to pee and poop in a toilet, but it's not hard. This isn't a "crawling through the jungle" pack. That's what the assault pack is for. Also, let's see your design...
Boo make a better pack
Fix the frames, bring back Alice 😤
Where can i buy one of these complete systems...???
Shits probably mad expensive

Army supply store. Sometimes cheap if you dig through.
Multiple sources. Just Google USMC rucksack. Get ready to spend some $$$.
