You know people that is allways hard to say favourite movie number 1. But this is my favourite movie of all time and I keep saying that for the past 10 years. Stay healthy and take care all
My favourite movie of all time, been watching it for years, don’t know what it is but makes you realise how lovely a relationship should be, I cry every time just gets me
I've seen that movie in christmas 2000 with my then girlfriend in cinema. Since then, I watch it every year at christmas. Its one of the best movies I've ever seen. Great actors, great music, great dialogs, great scenes. It still makes me reflect life every time I watch it. And it still makes me cry every time. I choose us... Jack and Kate forever...
I have the same story - my wife and I saw this on our first anniversary in 2001 and have watched it every Christmas since! We love this movie and feelings we feel and the music and always remembering to our family first ahead of material things of Christmas!
I have an opposite story, sort of. Never seen it, never heard of it. Until a few years ago, when a friend said *they* watch it every Christmas with the kids. Finally saw it, loved it, bought the CD, and now watch it every Christmas and every time it's on TV (like right now, which brought me here). This theme soars with the best of them. Such a great story, and to think, Cage didn't want to do it. Had to be convinced by the young director he was the only guy for the part. The extras on the CD bonus are awesome :-)
Same story. Watched with wife whem we were still dating when it came out. We watch it every year now. Our favorite Christmas movie. I've noticed I relate ti Jack differently over the years. In my early ambitious 20's, I wanted his wall street life. Then in my late 20's-early 30's I thought it was awesome he could have it all with getting hired at PK Lassiter as a family man. Now, having been married 17 years and 3 kids, I totally understand that his life in Jersey with the family is the dream.
I think this must be one of the most underated movies of all times. It's certainly on my list when it comes to my favorite Christmas movies, and I certainly don't understand why public television in my country keep playing the same old movies on Christmas, but never play this one... It's just beautiful in so many ways!
One of my favorite Christmas movies. Cage was perfect in this. I’ve followed his career. One of his best. Tia is stunning. The message is beautiful. Merry Christmas early💖
For me it's this one and also the scene where he watches himself sing to Kate. That look in his eyes... Realizing how much he loves her. And also realizing this means he'll be leaving the glimpse soon... When this could've been his reality. Breaks my heart every time
One of my all time favorite movies. I can't imagine what it would be like to meet the children you never had then somehow go back to your daily reality.
What a great movie! This soundtrack is amazing. I just picture the snow falling on the other side of the glass when they are both in the airport talking at the end…. Makes me cry everytime
The movie is amazing, yes. This music... so beautiful. Transcendent to say the very least. Thank you for moments so personally amazing they manage to soothe and add joy simultaneously.
A very underrated movie indeed. I was a content, successful, single man for quite awhile, met a girl who changed my views on life, and now she is gone once again. It was like I was given a glimpse of something else for a period of time, but was forced to "return to the mothership" after said glimpse. I can't help feeling like Jack Campbell in a lot of ways, and I think there are many others out there who can relate to this.
The guy who has it all gets thrown into a situation where he has nothing but realizes he could've had it all if he didn't screw up and choose to have it all from the start. Real message. We always want more when we think we have little but often fail to realize what we really always wanted we already have. Makes sense if you watch the movie. Brilliant cast and a chilling theme song that could turn a heart of stone into a heart of flesh.
I love this movie, I didn't know about it until 2018 or so. It's one of the best movies he should've got an Oscar in my opinion. Something about the movie that just makes you feel a certain way.
This movie always makes me tear up and no matter how annoying my kids and wife can be at times, it reminds me I am so blessed to have them in my life and love them so much ❤️💯
I love this movie. This song brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. I think about all the loved ones I’ve had in my life that have passed on. I thank God that I was able to share my life with those beautiful souls. I miss them so much. 😢
One of my favorite movies of all time.. I love Nicholas Cage and Tea Leoni together, great chemistry.. I always say that scene when he watches himself sing to her on her birthday, that's when it hit him how much he loves her.. My favorite scene....
sighs... they dont make movies like this anymore. the ones which are simple and make you appreciate the things you have. nowadays its all explosions and how much hype they can pack into 1 film... anyone else miss movies like this?
I agree , movies now a days don't give me the same inspirational feelings. Today it's mostly about 3D effects and it's boring sometimes with a lack of story. This is a great piece by Danny elf man and great film !
+fen132 I absolutely love this film. I first saw it about 15 years ago when it came out. and have only seen it once since. a few months ago with my wife.
This music and story is my wife and my favorite Christmas movie. Other than not taking place in New Jersey, we live this life every day. Guys, seriously, sing to your wife! It will make a huge difference.
my favourite movie of all time it's a good eye opener for those who don't appreciate their families, and think they made a mistake when they got married, and had kids this is another movie that proves it that it is the right thing to do YES
This movie is more significant when you can understand more and more what is the meaning of the message. And even more significant when you has lost someone or something in your life...
I'm in love with this track, its the most heart-warming music danny elfman ever composed, I shocked to know that he's the composer cuz I'm so used to him making horror movies(sleepy hollow, batman) maybe this one, Big fish and Ed's scissorhands are the only exceptions
Whenever I see this movie while channel surfing I am always compelled to watch. It really brings out the "what if" factor if you had the chance to see what your life would be like taking a different path with a lost love...
I stole this from Asda a few years back changed Christmas for me, didn’t let me out till new year. Fingers crossed for beautiful Christmas 2020 everyone
cherish your first love and never let it go, cause u'll be thinking about your 1st love for the rest of your life. mark my words...and no woman will make this feeling go away. u may laugh u may enjoy your current position, but in the end u'll always come with an idea that your 1st love is everything for you.
Merry Christmas everybody. A really goog movie about the choices we make in life, and how we should enjoy what each and every one of us has, no matter what.
Its sort of a combination of "A Christmas Carol" and "Its a Wonderful Life"...Jack Campbell, a self made mogul (played by Nicholas Cage ) is given a "glimpse" of what his life would have been like if he had married his sweetheart and had a family, instead of pursuing his own selfish interests...very well told story as it gradually dawns on Jack what he was missing.
a beautiful film, I watch it every year on Christmas, it's in my 10 favorite films, it shows what is most important in life, the music is great, the scene with the birthday cassette, the way they look into each other's eyes is wonderful , The Delfonics La-La Means I Love You (song VHS ;)
That still small voice is always there....This movie, reminds me of the one I knew.....I didn't go to the airport....I let her go....but that's OK. She has done fine. I have done fine. But, what we could have been. Lisa, I remember.
I feel that pain too. What might have been. I used to watch this film every Xmas eve with my ex partner. We’re talking years ago mind. But I was happy. We split up. Went down different paths. I met someone else and so did he. He got married, had 2 children. I split up with my partner and now I am alone, no children. I sometimes wish I had my chance with my ex again and done a lot of things different. I wouldn’t have had to go through the heartache and pain I went through after. Always in my heart, Terry xxxx
it's a pity we live just once, people do same mistakes over and over again. choose love over wealth. u don't need much money when u have ur beloved near u. there is nothing more beautiful than a true love... my first girlfriend let me go abroad and i am unhappy ever since thinking about her every god damn day, knowing i ruined my life by making such decision.
One of the best, most underrated movies ever. Absolute masterpiece
This movie is in my top ten. The soundtrack is so beautiful and like you say it's a masterpiece
This movie is so fucking beautiful. I hate that it doesn’t get more attention
100%
The part where he watches himself singing to his wife on a video and the realisation kicks in. Truly wonderful film.
You know people that is allways hard to say favourite movie number 1. But this is my favourite movie of all time and I keep saying that for the past 10 years. Stay healthy and take care all
It is.
All those years and I never stopped loving you !!!!❤
I watch this every year at Christmas time., makes me thankful for what I have in my life. Great film
My favourite movie of all time, been watching it for years, don’t know what it is but makes you realise how lovely a relationship should be, I cry every time just gets me
Favorite Christmas movie. Top 5 favorite movie all time.
Most underrated movie ever.
+Ádám Guba
I know, maybe it's because Don Cheadle is in it. But it's still a very good film, he didn't ruin this one.
That's True! Oscar's movie - masterpiece.
Absolutely agree.
Totally agree. Absolute masterpiece
I've seen that movie in christmas 2000 with my then girlfriend in cinema.

My first date with my future wife was to watch this movie. We just watched it with our 3 kids. It's so special to me.

One of my favorite movies. Also one of Nicholas Cage's best roles.
Captain Cartman one of my favourite Christmas movies
Agreed! Love that it reminds us how important family is. I Love the ending with the glow of fluffy snow in the background.
I think this must be one of the most underated movies of all times. It's certainly on my list when it comes to my favorite Christmas movies, and I certainly don't understand why public television in my country keep playing the same old movies on Christmas, but never play this one... A vastly underrated film. Heartwarming, funny and full of important lessons. Also one of Cage's best.
One of my favorite Christmas movies. Cage was perfect in this. I’ve followed his career. One of his best. Tia is stunning. The message is beautiful. Merry Christmas early💖
Merry Christmas
One of my favourite movies of all time.
The most epic scene is when Jack doesn't want to fall asleep in his dream.
The fact that he didnt want to leave them
For me it's this one and also the scene where he watches himself sing to Kate. That look in his eyes... Realizing how much he loves her. And also realizing this means he'll be leaving the glimpse soon... When this could've been his reality. Breaks my heart every time
