This isn't from the OST, it's a re-recording by Joel McNeely and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, which was included in the "Batman Trilogy" CD, released in 1997 by Varèse Sarabande.
It was all entirely a purpose of misenterpretation. The parents brought their kids to Batman Returns. And they were right that the movie was too dark for the kids, but the movie was Not ment for kids, it was ment for an older and more mature audience. Shmucker did make the movies kid friendly, well, ONLY kid friendly, giving Nothing for the mature audience.
This movie came out in 89, you are saying the movie should have borrowed from the novel from 90? lololol The novel probably took from the movie and was inspired by the movie. Burton was the one that introduced gothic to gotham city. Without Burton, there would be no Nolan movies.
I wish they would have used Burton for the new Catwoman movie, or used another director for it, I thought it was a poor adaptation of her. And of course, parents are dumb asses, they don't realize Burton's movies are suppose to be dark, I liked the interpretation he did for the first two movies. It just goes to show that Dc can't produce movies the right way, and is why I'm a Marvel fan. I wouldn't be surprised if they redid G.L and the Catwoman movie in the next couple of years.
Because at first Tim Burton was going to continue producing the Batman movies after Returns, he was going to reuse her in the batman movies or make a movie entirely for her. But because of the dumb ass parents who thought Returns was too dark, they hired shmucker instead and they scrapped the catwoman idea. Well the Catwoman idea got scrambled around and messed around until it was was made into the 2004 Catwoman movie.
In my opinion only Batman forever and Batman&Robin are crappy. I was 7 or 8 years old when I saw Batman 1 in cinema and I loved it. Maybe I was / am just in the right age to enjoy Burtons Batman aswell as Nolans.
I'm not saying dc totally sucks. they have made good movies yes. But, movies like Green Lantern could have been better. I have real high hopes for this Superman movie, I think they are going to ruin it. I mean really, trying to make Superman realistic doesn't make any sense to me. Batman I get, but Superman doesn't make sense. That's like trying to make wrath of the titans realistic it doesn't make sense.
Batman Returns is my favorite Batman movie of all time.
Batman Returns Is Masterpiece I Give it 10/10
Truely an artistic masterpiece.
4:00 Michele Pfifer performed the best psychological breakdown scene in a mainstream superhero film ever.
I was wondering why this was my favorite Batman theme, but then I realized: Danny Elfman!
This music sounds when i get up in the morning and get dressed.
That's incredible 😎
Anyone who played Lego Batman on the Nintendo DS will remember this
No one:
Danny: give everything vocals
GENIUS!
BEST BATMAN MOVIE EVER!

@LIGHTALY Mmmmm well... I don't think so. I think Batman was like practice... And Batman Returns was the final masterpiece!

I love Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman, and after 20 years Tim Burton called her back and send her into Dark Shadows ^^
imagine pulling up to someone listening to this at the light
I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SONG FOR SO LONG.
I think these batman movies surpass the dark knight its just so dark and awesome!! besides a bat tank wtf is that NO Batmobile all the way !!
You crazy.
The part at 2:51 reminds me a whole lot of a part from Final Fantasy VI's Dancing Mad...

This music certainly is a nice "Concerto", very adequate for such a popular and all times, hero.

You know I never noticed why the didn't use Catwoman for another movie it showed her alive before the end credits.
cool, lol. so like..what do you like about it? what makes it better than the first?
Oh I liked it too. I watched almost every episode, I think.
@LIGHTALY definitely
the only Batman theme
For Adam West
@leoenutube i think the first one was the masterpiece and batman returns rode on its coat tail
I wouldn't call those Poison Ivy scenes kid appropriate but I get what your saying lol.

I think that would be a stringed instrument sounding like a cat.
