Once you jump on the AP rollercoaster, its an additive ride. As AP collector and enthusiast I can safely say that the 15500 not only looks flawless in its design and aesthetic but also feels special on the wrist. Congrats again bro and brilliant review!

Hey Ridah, it would be nice to catch your thoughts on owning and wearing both Rolex and AP. Rolex with its ethos of utilitarianism, and APs deep history of delivering high end and complicated timepieces. A comparison rather than a versus. Take care man.
Congratulations on the 15500.03! I have the 15400 White Dial and it's my first luxury watch. There is something about AP that balances luxury, class, and prestige. Your 15500 is absolutely stunning! Wear it in great health!

Always happy to see 15500 black dial videos. My ultimate AP RO goal is the 15202, but I am not quite there yet with my “relationship” and for the time being waiting for this exact model. My AP dealer has promised me the next black dial to arrive will be mine... the last few shipments have been grey and white dials, so hopefully my turn will come in the new year! Much like any other amazing brand, there is always a model range that stands out and for AP it is surely the royal oak range. What is fascinating to me is not just the new 4302 caliber but how they are able to decorate it with the gold blade and visible through the open caseback to see all the art, I often find myself just looking at it for no reason at all The 15202 is the ultimate grail, surely, however from hearing collectors within my community who actually own 15202’s, I understand it’s barely on the wrist, barely worn and for that it is not an immediate goal of mine, I can’t buy something that I am unable to wear on daily basis :) I think the 15500/15400 is much more durable and something to enjoy on daily basis. Also, this stigma of AP royal oaks being fragile and not as robust as Rolex sport models changed with the new 15500, it is durable and robust. What are your thoughts on this? My humble suggestion is to make the 15202 purchase contingent on buying the 15500, at retail ofcourse
Great pickup. I’ve foolishly turned down a 15400 that I saw in the case at an AD right before it got phased out and a 15500 at the beginning of the pandemic. The 15202 is the only AP I have in my collection and while I love it and recognize it’s special, the 15500 is more versatile with its robustness and screw down crown. Enjoy it and I look forward to the upcoming comparison of the 15202.

Great watch, I’m on the waiting list for that one. I own the rose gold blue dial (discontinued) version of that watch and was offered the rose gold version of your watch but since I have the blue dial though it’s an older movement I declined the deal.
The rose gold blue dial is hot :) for how much they cost, even at retail, you want every single watch to be different, so yes the steel is your go to next, completely agree.
Black dial for this watch is so much sharper than the blue dial. The blue dial for AP is not as nice as the blue sunburst Rolex dial. Black dial on the AP is truly sharp and sleek!
I bought 15500 White dial from AD before price went up. last week another 15500 black nail was available, but I cannot and not that addicted and gave up the black dial. sad.
As much as I liked the video, your titles are very misleading. You didn’t show the buying experience at the AP store or how you sourced it. This is just a review and not a ‘Buying’ video.
Ordered the 15400, 1.5 years lapsed, the watch got discontinued and never got it! Was then transitioned into the 15500 (newer reference) and took about seven months, so all in all it took 2 years
That’s true I’ve seen the aquanaut and the 5711 box, you are right, I should’ve clarified that it’s the most luxurious watch box I’ve owned :) Rolex boxes are a joke!

Had the 15400st but moved over to the 15500st due to it having cleaner dial and just looks more modern I love it.

Best watch ever. It is more stable than 15202 regarding to daily use. the black dial is even more beautiful than the blue one.

Wife just surprised me with 15500 black dial. The black dial is amazing and IMO, is better than the blue dial.
