I would definitely go with a stiffer pressure plate and keep slippage to a minimum. Otherwise you're looking at warpage. Ran into that problem on my performance VW engines.
Back in the old days I use to fuck around with P76 V8s (same clutches & BW SR 4 Speeds as 265s too) & I use to just buy new old stock P76 6 cylinder flywheels to get that revvy light flight wheel effect at the least effort. Even a decade after Leyland went bust one could buy NOS basically any part required at cents in the dollar. Including clutch for 265 lean burn in a 245 VG Safari Wagon with full VIP interior & front & Pacer dash. Flywheel actually looks the same too, but can’t confirm that.
Whats the difference in actual weight? My flywheel came loose , almost came off , when i was street racing , the accelerator cable got stuck on the four barrel , i put the car in neutral and the engine rev out , i tried turning the motor off the steering lock came on , and i jiggled it unlock , by fluke we didnt kill our selves that day. popped the bonnet and the pacemaker extractors where glowing red hot . Is it true the hemis had a problem with flywheels coming loose ? If so what do you do to fix that problem ?
Did that and the clutch stays engaged the whole time. Might need extra work with the clutch fork and slave cylinder to give a longer push to disengage the clutch. Speaking from self RnD.
Most hydraulic and mechanical clutch release bearings have some kind of way to be adjusted, automatic or manually In this case it probably wont hurt the guy, but in some cases it might be just enough to screw up
I've got an old 1979 LC Lancer hatchback. Just about to get the outer ring off my fly. Should go fucking sick man, lol😂 But seriously if you want to see my Lancer search LC Lancer in Google and it should show first page. It's the one in one in unique cars magazine.

Crazy story. Yeah the flywheels are know to come loose. I have a vid on here of how I stop that too 👌
Can you do the same on a dsg dual mass flywheel
Thanks for vid. Would a lightened flywheel be beneficial for a street car only (1989 305 V8 small block Chevy 5 speed)? No intention of racing it.
