- BMW and Honda crash down cliff (rain & fog rescue). Kudos Alex, this was a TOUGH one. I've done my share of these to last a life time and Alex has done a ton this year, but none quite like this. For starters, it was TWO vehicles instead of one. I myself have done this, but on a hot day. This challenge was due to the weather: rain AND fog.
I asked Alex before he left if he wanted me to try and postpone this job for the morning, but he said "NO" and jumped on this. Talk about pizzaz! He handled this one in Big Flipper, our 75ton rotator, and joined by Vicente and Eddie in flatbeds for the transport. These hills are bad enough in the day, but you add in the heavy rain all day and super low visibility and it's crazy.
Alex has been learning more and more on repelling and hiking and getting new gear for this, so he felt more than safe. And as you'll see, he was right. As he ascended down, it almost looked like a scene from the Blair Witch Project. It was super dark and rainy so some of the hiking footage was unusable, but I made the best of what I could recover from this dark and low visibility footage.

My husband and I just discovered your videos about a month ago and this is how we spend many of our evenings with no fast forwarding (I know we need a life but it’s a cheap date 😂)
Don't know what you pay Alex, but it's not enough. Risking his life at night like this and doing an amazing job. Great job editing Josh, you guys are a great team along with all the other guys that make up your workforce.
A few more like this and Alex could be a Mt Everest Guide!
Sherpa 🙂
Josh... Alex did one hell of a job considering the time of day/night and the rain and that hillside he had to crawl up and down...! That Dude is an awesome worker / employee...!!!
You guys work your butts off every day. Makes me tired just watching you. Be safe.
Had to laugh the other day when I ventured out...Waited at an intersection for a big rig and found myself looking at the underneath and for attachment points. Not bad for a 75 yr young lady. I just have a rope for my truck but angles are angles. You folks are so professional and nice to everybody, how refreshing.
I don't know what Alex is getting paid, but for this type job he's not getting paid enough. I believe this is the toughest because of weather & 2 vehicles. Great job Alex!
Another great job by Pepe's Towing. A TWO FER.
Alex is the man! A great asset to Pepe’s Towing
Alex, you once again have raised the bar for the rest of the industry!
Well done sir....once again!
Congratulations Alex you did a enormously hard job in brutal conditions. The darkness was hard enough let alone anything else. I appreciate the effort to do this job. & thanks again. I hope those people are alright.
Rumour has it that Alex is an excellent swimmer and no stranger to water! That was a tough one, well done Alex and co. Professional as always.👍
Every time you go out, I learn something new. Good job Alex!
OMG! Every one of your 'rescues' is more insane than the last. Amazing effort and commitment, Alex!
Every time I see some vehicle off the road, half way down into some gorge, I have this wierd urge to shout "Hey! Hey! You can't park there!"
Good job getting them out & kudos to Alex's mountaineering skills.
A 2-fer for Alex!! Great job, guys. Now, I'm tired.
A twofer, with rain and fog even. Surprised they didn't wait til the sun was up. You've been getting a lot of rope time. Nice work getting them on the rollbacks.
Gotta be 1/2 mountain goat with all the mountain recoveries ! As always great job stay safe.
Alex you got a workout on that fishing trip. good job getting them out.
well Alex i see you like going fishing for cars great job recovering both
Alex great recovery you stay in shape on all these fishing expeditions😊
Taking Car Fishin To The next Level!!!
One rig set, two recovery and I hope you get double the pay. Great job
My God Alex are you part mountain goat. I’ve seen some crazy stuff in my life but that was amazing. Once again Pepe’s towing is slinging the iron around. Great job guys ✌️
Another awesome performance 🤓🙋♂️👍
Kinda shocked they don’t have guardrails on these roads but job security:)
Another fast and furious finale for these two knuckleheads
Alex giving actual driving advice:❤💪💪 take it easy and be home!👍
Muchas gracias
I absolutely ❤ watching these blogs. We have nothing like this in the UK. I have a suggestion that you keep a battery chain saw to help clear areas where you're trying to pull vehicles through trees & vegetation.
Yeah, just don't video it, or the econazis will have a freak-out.
It's dark, deep, cold, wet, steep, muddy and slippery with roots, vines, bushes, branches and twigs to trip over and pokin' ya in the eye and ass...and I never heard ya swear even once. Ya might have swore, but I never heard ya. Mad respect.
Good job man!! You certainly earned your money on that one!! Great to watch you guys do your magic!!
Awesome work you all! Team work is always a plus.
Alex gets all the fun jobs, well done
Those canyons look like a good place for some guard cables... Nice recovery! Ron...
Great job always
As per Alex,s comment about people speeding on a bend in the rain, you can’t teach stupidity it’s natural. Lol
What's up Bro, watching and hearing you explaining how you take care of business and looking good one of the amigo😅
You looked a bit better on the ropes this time, I'd still recommend a class in climbing or rescue.
You really ought to put a sling on that ascender so it is connected to your harness. It is so easy to take a faceplant on wet hillsides like that, and the next thing you know you are sliding down the hill trying to grab the rope.
Alex is incredibly amazing!!
What is the rush to do these jobs that results in not waiting for daytime and better weather? Cars are not going anywhere. Alex works his butt off in some miserable conditions risking his life and limbs with no apparent reason for not waiting.. that I can see. Makes for great video.
They must airlift the people out of those cars, as most people wouldn't be able to make it back up to the road on their own.
Great job! Stay safe 👍
eTo the Alex is a champ a real sherpa. Always attention to detail so the job is done efficiently and safely. Always enjoy the commentary as he goes along. Thanks to you both for the post. Note to the rock jocks, car fishing does not require technical climbing technique.
Haha sherpa is a great word. There was a time when it used to be me exclusively doing these lol
Good job man!
Alex another great recovery, along with a great workout! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Pepe's needs heavy lift helicopter.
"Alex, you gotta stop dropping your phone"
"I KNOW!!!! I KNOWWW!!!!"
hey alex you scratch that guys bumper on the white honda. LOL
Alex: Wonder of a light on the vehicle being recovered would help you keep track of the vehicle in poor lighting conditions.
Agreed. Like a "guardian angel" unit in strobe mode.
This was epic!!! 👍👍👍
I've been watching your channel for a long time and this is the ultimate car recovery in the absolute worst conditions. Alex never ceases to amaze on these jobs, he's an amazingly talented guy and quite an asset to Pepe's Towing.
Kudos to Josh for the quality videos that he produces.👏👏
Alex you are a beast. You are always determined to do the job perfectly and safely. how were you able to find your way around in such bad conditions. Stay safe man.
Good to see you're wearing long pants this time. 😁
It looks to me that often these “car fishing” jobs are at the same place, a straight stretch after a tight curve going downhill. If that is the case, then the government needs to install an escalator there to make Alex’s job easier. 😊 🇨🇦
Another great video ty be safe
It's another great job and awesome video. I am looking forward to your next video.
Hello across the pond . i was watching as the cars where hauled up i did notice the tyres are wht we call in the uk *slicks* as in no tread,no wonder they went over, safety 1st guys always keep the brakes and tires 100%. Peace
Another great video and doubly well done job!
Great Job Alex. Very good video.
Oo nice day of fishing caught BMW and Honda in the collection. Drive safe guys it’s not worth causing life threatening injuries or death to yourself or others.
Wow wot an awesome recovery love watching your recovery adventures
Alex, Won’t you miss Big Flipper when you inherit Hulk as your truck? Pépé’s you are doing excellent and entertaining videos. Cheers from Montreal!
great job Alex
What a crazy mix of skills you need to do this job. Well done.
God bless you for having to go through all that brush n crap. I was so worried about you doing that. But you kicked butt on that job like u always do ❤
Another great recovery! Nice wallpaper on Alex’s phone by the way 😂😅
With Josh and Dave having themed trucks, Are there any plans for you to get Big Flipper a custom wrap? Think it would be awesome. Another job well done Alex! Loving the channel Josh.
Big Flipper will stay as is ; However Alex will take over Joshua's truck (Hulk) and wrap it with an Iron Man theme. The question is "What is Hulk 2.0 gonna look like ?" Stay tuned
Awesome!
I'm surprised that you didn't use a light tower in situations like that.
You guys do amazing work and Alex does a wonderful job and Josh do amazing work on editing the videos say hello to papi chulo JOE ❤️ you need to put him on more videos one hell-of-a dude 😎
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
That Honda will buff out. Probably see it at one of the local auto auctions in about 6 months or less.
The BMW, not so much. Even Pick A Part is gonna pass on that one.
Good job guys
Wow I don't envy you your job be safe.
Enjoy it as always
Great job Alex. You won't need to workout after those two.😁
It's nice of Josh to allow Alex to do these jobs.😉😁
‼️Buen trabajo plebes‼️
ALEX IS AMAZING!
Guard rails? Guard rails? We don't need no stinkin' guard rails.
Alex smart having long pants on for this job!!
I was watching you lift the BMW at about 15 minutes into this video. So why not lift the car into the air, then attach the chains to the front tires while it is hanging about 3 feet into the air, and attach those chains to your second hoist line? Then you can hang the front of the car in the air, while taking loose all of the line 1 chains, and attach them to the back tires, then make your final lift out of the canyon. Seems safer and faster to me.
Of course you are the expert. Another interesting video! Thanks for skipping all of the dull parts, it keeps it exciting and interesting.
Great screensaver 😂
I hope Alex’s Christmas Bonus got a zero added to it.
Alex is wearing long pants!😂
Please be so careful, I was worried that Honda could have moved further god bless you
I'm surprised that they're asking you to remove these cars at night. I thought maybe they could wait til morning..
More people should read the description section. In this case, Josh specifically says, "I asked Alex before he left if he wanted me to try and postpone this job for the morning, but he said "NO" and jumped on this."
Alex was awesome , those cars , just cosmetic damage. lol
ohhh double feature!
Geez Alex, alter hauling out all the repelling rope you got at least a twofer. Hope your taking your high potency "B" vitamins for more energy. Fun watch, great job.
You certainly earned your pay that night, up and down that hill in the rain. Yikes! 👍
You probably didn't have worry about the gym next day. That was one he'll of a workout 😢!
Hope you get a $bonus$!! Great video!!
As you said , cars speeding by and one would think ^oh someone went over I best slow down. The proverbial this doesn't happen to me.
Both drivers seriously hurt 😢😢😢😮😮
Got one heck of a workout on that job.
A question I always want to ask of the drivers of these wrecks and other speed related crashes is;
How's that Big Hurry working out for you?
Why not wait until daylight hours? The cars aren’t going anywhere. Where are the guard rails if it’s such a dangerous road? Love the videos. Watching from Brisbane, Queensland Australia.
Good job Alex and crew!! Hey Josh, the "gringo's" would like to know what they're saying when your guys are speaking Spanish. I enjoy listening to people speak Spanish but, for the most part, I don't know what is being said. Be safe out there!!
You can get software translation apps😂😂
Those fishing trips are hard enough during daylight, I'm curious why do it at night?
Good work out for the body. Or you can say I need to get in shape after this?
