I think I recall reading that the Fletcher Pratt book was used by Harvey Kurtzman as a major reference for the Civil War special issues of EC Comics' TWO-FISTED TALES and FRONTLINE COMBAT.
Found your channel and very much enjoyed this episode. Sorry I missed Brattle when my partner and I were in Boston in December for four nights. We definitely walked all around there but not on that specific street. We did spend time (and money) in Commonwealth Books.

I also prefer Ellison in non-fiction, there’s something about his attitude that’s fascinating and endlessly entertaining… and I can’t believe he is not in library of America! You’d think he’d be the first sf author they would reprint!

Glad you went to Brattle, it always makes you better, and us too. It was sad to watch, yet understandable how upset you were a couple of times lately.

I have _An Edge in My Voice_ in a 1996 hardcover that also includes Harlan Ellison’s _Over the Edge_ short story collection. The book is _Edgeworks 1,_ the first of four volumes of Ellison from White Wolf Publishing.
I liked Ordeal by Fire - enjoy it.
I enjoy Stephanie Barron’s Jane Austen murder mysteries.
July 2, the principal World UFO Day, it seems to becoming more of a mainstream event every year.
I hope with the reprint of the Dangerous Visions series, and the new Ellison’s greatest hits, that a lot of his various columns are reprinted, even if I disagree with him more than I agree with him.
