That copy of the The Last King of America looks amazing. I found a copy of Andrew Roberts' Napoleon and Wellington a few weeks ago for £1 in a charity shop and snapped it up. Like you said, he's a very readable author - only took me a few days to finish the book, and it's been one of the highlights of my reading month.
I found, to my joy, Dr. Holmes' Boston as an ebook, but hard copies of a couple of Caroline Ticknor's books. How is it I now have a half shelf of Boston related books, mmm, I wonder, chuckle. Steve made me do it!
Nearest book store to me is 80 miles away. There is one charity shop in town that has second hand books. We have a great local library. The problem comes with getting copies of books that don’t seem to be in print anymore.
I have the Andrew Roberts book on George III in ebook, it took me a minute to realise it was the same book, as it has a slightly different title here in the UK.
You task me! You task me, and I shall have you. I'll chase you 'round the Brattle Book Shop and 'round the Cubbyholes of the Boston State House and 'round 1872's flames before I give you up.
Those June on the Range picks are awesome. I greatly enjoy your cover critiques.
I'm generating quite a stockpile for one of BookTube's best events!
A video by you on the best 150 biographies ever written would make me break out the champagne

Outstanding !! I had to say Awwwww at “Sugarfoot.” We had a kitten (with white paws) named Sugarfoot when I was a little girl.

john hay wrote the great beach and outer beach I think
The book I was groping for here was "The Outer Beach" - by the very author I was holding up in this video, Robert Finch!
Hagar the cowboy viking? Is Christopher Hibbert the author you were thinking of who wrote a George III biography?
