Yes, yes, good afternoon! There's always a pile of books to rummage through. The business of book collecting never really ends.

I just stumbled across A Year of Reading Proust at a local little free library the day before Randy Ray and Greg started talking about Proust 2025! It felt like incredible kismet!

2025 sees this corner of Booktube become Proustube... “Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.”
      ― Marcel Proust

I live in Australia so, am currently in winter. Love your Irish obsession. I always dreamed of ending up in Dublin one day, but don't really travel, so I guess this will stay as a pipe dream. I am very drawn to the Inklings, & have a fervent christian background, but am now a little burnt & hurt. I miss it terribly, but alas... Ah, book burners, how do you live a life unhurt by such folk? Really enjoy your meanderings through books.

I have read A C Grayling's book on the bombing during WWII, an uncomfortable read, but really great. I like Grayling, his book on Wm. Hazlitt is a good read too. I just love a Brattle video, so thanks Steve. I was so envious of the Shakespeare Sonnet book, I can't find one in UK for love nor money.

I bought that Phyllis Rose book when it came out (can it really have been in 1997??) but haven't actually read it yet! The Proust intimidation rubbed off on it I suspect. I must change that in the next six months, in preparation for considering reading Proust next year. Although I think I have it in storage. That's a problem.
And Steve you do realise that you are a partial Mood Reader right? Even though they are much maligned (here) Everytime you say This Goes on the Pile for Tonight, you're reading by whim, by "mood"! Shocking to discover I know....

I need to get to the Brattle to see if I can find any John Boyle O'Reilly. Is his name still known in Boston? He certainly had an interesting life.
