You managed to include every single turn based tactical game that I love. Just unfortunate that I already have them all. But great to see you think they were all worth putting in this best of isometric video. Fantastic video and well done Marcello.
Turn based strategy RPG hybrid has been my favorite genre since I first played Shining Force on Genesis. I wore that poor cartridge out. The battery backup failed and I would keep my Genesis switched on for days to make it through the game all the way. I painted over the power light so my parents wouldn’t see it and turn it off.
DOS 2 was my first ever TB CRPC and it ruined me for the genre...i love me some fire emblem and some pathfinder and even 100%ed PoE 1 and 2 but i never got that same feeling again...i need BG 3 full release to hopefully cure that itch...
I'm an old RPG gamer who just could not finish Pathfinder: Kingmaker. I tried several times and lost interest each time. There is just way too many...and too complicated...character build/progression options, and I have no interest in keep/town building. I've purchased Wrath of the Righteous but haven't played it yet. I'm hoping I like that better.
@@TurnBasedLovers I guess hard core players of the table top Pathfinder games would love Kingmaker because they have a familiarity with the mechanics of the rule set.
@@TurnBasedLovers It may be a while since I decided to play everything in my Steam library in chronological order (saves me from having to pick from over 125 games I have in my queue). I finished the oldest game, Baldur's Gate (hadn't played it since it came out long ago), and I am about half way through Baldur's Gate 2...not sure I'll live long enough to get to Baldur's Gate 3!
Honestly if you didn't like the character progression of Kingmaker you're not gonna like it in wrath of the righteous, it's basically the same but with even more options. City building is also still a thing but a lot less relevant. If your only concern is the complexity of character builds you could just look up some online and follow them in normal difficulty or below.
Good video. My problem is i love Isometric RPG's but hate the fantasy genre. Wasteland 2 is brilliant, loved it. I found WL3 a let down. Atom RPG is good. Something that's been released after this video is Jagged Alliance 3, really good also.
Man, do you have "best turn-based rpgs of all time"? If not, I would be happy to watch such video. I feel like there are a lot of old good stuff in that genre.
I love all your videos as a turn based strategy game lover your videos always show me something I never knew about and get me excited about these games.
Your description said a decade or so. But 2014 to 2022 is only an 8-year range, or 9 separate years. Why not check some titles from 2012 and/or 2013? Would you be interested in looking further back to the 2000's and 1990's?
Thanks. I think I remember that list. At least if you find some good new titles next year then you can make another of this list video again. It'll finally be a full decade!
Luckily I have quite a few from that list that I haven't played. So far, out of 30, I've only played Wasteland II & III, both Pathfinder games, Solasta, both Divinity games, King Arthur, Lost Eidolons, Expeditions: Rome, Shadowrun, PoE II and Colony Ship. So 13 out of 30, not even half of them. Good to know all the goodies that I have yet to enjoy. Once again, your lists are a great roadmap for me to find hidden gems that I am unaware of. Many thanks!!!!
A couple of these seem real nice, but my issue is, I love turnbased rpg's, but I do not like squad based. I like a solo character, the ocassional support/escort as a one time thing is fine. Maybe do a video on those. So hard to find though.
I am getting DOS2 for Christmas.
The perfect present :)
Best Xmas present ever.. It's an epic game and there is not enough hours in the day to play it.. Have fun!
What an experience that game is, masterpiece imo, I just love it.

Thank you Steve😊😊
A very good selection of games! I added some I didn't know in my wishlist! Greetings from Italy
Ciaoooo. Ricambio dall'italia... :)
Thank you for the list, some i havent played so looking forward to trying, i love this genre.
No problem! :)

Appreciate the content as always!
My pleasure! :)

I can relate 😊 Can't wait for BG3 full release..
Thanks for the awesome games list! I get missed with disgaea series on it, but good job!!!!
Glad you like them! Yeah I missed few great titles :(
Nice UA-cam channel. Turn based tactics games are my favorite category.
Thank you very much mate ☺️☺️☺️
Tremendous list as usual.
Thank you my friend 😊😊😊

I can relate. I'm always scared of complicated mechanics and tend to lose interest soon.
Let me know what you think about Wrath when you play it 😊👍

Great list!
Glad you enjoyed it :)
SRW and SD Gundam made the list, always underrated and overlooked great list.
Thank you, this is exactly what I wanted to make my buying list
Glad I could help! :)

Ciao, i will work on some videos. Thanks for the advice :)

It's really cool to see your channel grow. Keep it up!
Thank you so much 😊😊😊

Hey thank you so much. Glad to be useful. 😊😊😊
Thanks for the top, great game selection!
Grazie Mille 😊😊😊
Great work. spot on for fans 👏👏
Thank you very much 😊😊😊
Baldurs gate 3 should immediately take number 1 on full release though…

I have another written list, with older titles :)

Thanks. I think I remember that list.

While Xulima's exploration might be isometric the combat turns into a dungeon crawler first person view.
Exactly :)
Ciao a tutti, Marcello here🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌
hahaha :)

You played a lot of them :) cool. I'm happy there is something useful for you even if i missed some great titles here and there :)
Wasteland 3, Gears Tactics and Divinity: orginal sin 2 is a masterpiece. Ps new game Miasma Chronicles is awesome.
Great games indeed :)

Yeah it could be a nice idea for a video.
Which games are the most similar to expeditions??
my favorite part was when he said " keen uhh-dur" lmao
Kind of criminal that Wildermyth isn't on the list, but I'm sure that's mostly because you wanted to include more than just Fantasy titles.
:( dannazione.
Buen video amigo
Gracias 😊😊😊🤩🤩🤩
Recently played, Lords of Xulima definitely a hidden gem not to be missed
It is 😊😊👍👍
lords of xulima-yes!
Yes :) I had read that they were working on the second chapter, but there is not much information about it at the moment.
there is a game othercide, why none reporting it?
UnderRail ❤
Great game :)
Unpopular opinion but I prefer DOS1 over Dos 2.
Jagged Alliance 2?
Played nearly all these already :(
Wow :)
Most of the games aren’t isometric. For example Pillars of Eternity is isometric, DOS2 is classic 3D
?????
Yes
grazie
Grazie a te per il commento 😊😊
Encased 17:05 is free on epic today.
Wow, thanks for the heads up :)
Omg, thumb game??
Pathfinder :)
Needs tyranny...
NO DRAGON AGE LOL
DISGAEA!!!!
there is nothing more boring trash than turn based games
lol i heard you mention engage? what does that embarrasment of a game have to do with a TOP list?
You keep saying that word... (Isometric) I don't think it means what you think it means
decay or decade?
