Civ takes one correct step towards the right direction with navigable rivers. I hope some rudimentary army logisitical features will be added along with the rivers and even cannals to the extend that geography matters
@LT Gaming Great selection of games! another one I've had on my radar for quite a while now is Songs of Silence, its a fantastic TBS game currently in early access but gearing up for full release. It has a very novel approach to battles on the campaign map which keeps the game flowing at a good pace. Not only is the singleplayer story campaign really well done in my opinion(voice acting is top tier!) but the multiplayer is a lot of fun with games that can be finished in a single evening on the smaller MP maps. Would be great to see you cover it at some point, think its got a lot of potential
Silence of the Siren is so good, played the demo (available on steam) and it was exactly what I wanted, Heroes 3 but with a good amount of twists, and all of them well-chosen. The irony of a Heroes sequel coming but Silence might be the actual proper Heroes 3 successor (of course, we'll see. Maybe both games will be good :))

Just a heads up on Civ 7, if anyone is in the same boat as me and my wife. We basically only play these kinds of games in hot seat, and Civ 7 does not have a hot seat mode, which really sucks for us, so just something to think on if you are a hot seat enthusiast as we are :)
Yeah that’s what I thought it was too. Max Payne 1 was so good. Pretty certain I got the demo within a PC Gamer and then immediately went to Best Buy to buy the game after playing the demo.
You missed Gates of Pyre, I love the strategic depth of it. The mix of intense real-time action with the unique faction mechanics sets it apart from other RTS games. It's refreshing to see a game that focuses on both macro and micro gameplay without losing accessibility. Can't wait to see how the meta evolves as more players dive into it. This could be a new classic in the making
One thing to consider if it works for you is what you think about having direct Steam or GOG links in the description for various games. It's not a big deal, just something I noticed other channels are doing.
Basically Ubisoft had no interest in the series so they just sat on the IP and did nothing with it, until Unfrozen(the developer of the new game) came to them with a demo showing what they had been working on, and asked if they could make the game, and Ubisoft said yes. Which makes me somewhat hopeful, since it seems the new developer actually cares about the game and wants to do a good job, also I think 1 or more of thhe devs worked on HoMM 5 back in the days.
why on earth they decided to go with pixalated art style with heroes of might and magic ... like seriously i waited so long for that game, just to have old school pixalated art .. com on now man .. i do understands the nostalgia behind that art style for people who played heroes of might and magic 3 , but that era was like 20 years ago where graphics were trash , so it was understandable, but in 2025 i cannot get behind pixalated art style ... i am massively dissapointed , i was anticipating this game for soo long

what i dont get is why they dont make more HOMM style games. Instead they make 100 different RTS and 4X games, trying to invent something new, but you have a winning formula here. There have been games like songs of conquest, braveland, kings bounty apart from homm but thats it. from last heroes its also 10 years. Thinking of starting my own studio .. :)

Drevived from Nucleus (also pronounced as its written) 'nucular' is a mispronunciation, its not even an americanisation its just flat wrong. Put it this way.... if youre saying things the same way as that bastion of intellect, Donald friggin Trump and folks are telling you its wrong... do you really want to fight that battle? :P
I just think its overblown on UA-cam and has nothing to do with politics tbh. People have regional accents and say things all sorts of different ways. I mean yes we make mistakes but its that projection of "I'm smart because I corrected you" that's makes me laugh a little (in reality its like they are making up for something in themselves). I think its mainly people not understanding the crazy regional accents of the UK haha. For me its just a bit of fun at this stage ;) Il have Nuclear and Tom can have Mechanicus :P - Luke

Highly disappointed list. Nothing new, nothing interesting just same old same old. Producers will need to step up to games like BG3 to make players excited.
Why does every single UA-camr that makes list videos talk with the speech pattern of Tricia Takanawa from Family Guy? I’m seriously asking - Is there some instructional video somewhere that tells people to do this really annoying speech pattern where they drop their vocal tone and put emphasis on the last few words of every damn sentence?
