Some more good ones from recent years: Showgunners, Ruined King, King Arthur: Knight's Tale, The Lamplighters League, Sea of Stars, Chained Echoes, Disciples: Liberation Octopath Traveler 2, Wartales, The Iron Oath, Marvel's Midnight Suns, Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless, Cassette Beasts Persona 5: Tactica, Warhammer 40K: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters, The Dungeon Of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet Of Chaos.
How about a showcase of TBG with unique mechanics? For example Troubleshooter unique skill mastery system. hmm, I played chinese xianxia games now, which bring their own uniqueness due to the established genre, but the problem is these indie devs cant afford translation dedicated team.
Disco Elysium ?? Really I don't think this game is Turn-Based Isometric RPGs. An isometric RPG it is, but as I played there is no turn-based element, yes different character builds based on mental character traits and dice rolling and that's about it. It's a good thing that the video is about Turn-Based Isometric RPGs because the absence of someone from the Shin Megami Tensei/Persona franchise meant that the list could be incomplete. However, I agree that they (SMT/Persona) are not isometric RPGs.
technically it's like you said, but it looks like you face what a DM throw at you, and you must take your turn or a skill check to reply...anyway thanks for your suggestions :)
I just couldn't get into DoS2. I mean, it feels like almost every character is a mage or potentially a mage, or they can all transmogrify a tentacle arm. Jesus, i just wanted to hit someone with a sword! I'm not ashamed to admit that i like to play Pathfinder on the lowest difficulty. I don't have all day.
They're all not REAL isometric games! They're like 3d games from a bird perspective, zooms, camera turns and everything. It is not like Diablo 2 Or Fallout...

Dos2 still has one of my favorite video game stories. Especially when playying with friends
Aliens: Dark Descent is amazing
Never played it, but thanks for the tips :)
100% Agree! Such an underrated gem, and my favourite Alien computer game full stop, even more than Isolation.
Divinity original sin master piece
indeed :)
Great list but definitely missing King Arthur: Knight's Tale, especially now that it has been updated to version 2.0, and the price is 60% cheaper.

Great list! Love so many of these games. BG3 GAME OF THE YEAR 2023
Knights of the Chalice 2 and Troubleshooter should deserve a place in these kinds of lists.
Oh well, tastes vary.
Wholeheartedly agree with Troubleshooter 2
Indeed, they are great games. We made hard choices, another game that deserves to be here is UnderRail..
BG 3 won the Game of the Year

@@TurnBasedLovers you're welcome
Grazie :)@@TheStrongestLaPaz
Where is the normal guy Marcelo?
Several great RPGs in there - but can we stop calling mission-based/tactical combat/strategy games RPGs? Thanks.
Where the he'll is xcom2

encased was a major letdown, I couldn't even finish it due to boredom. So hollow.
You should check what "isometric" means, most games here are classic 3D games.
Show us gameplay footage, not cut scenes or trailer. Its of no use
You do have a point
Xenonauts 2
Yeah, still in early access, but it's a great game :)
seems a bit late for a "games to play in 2023"
hahaha. Let's say you can play these games in 2024 also. :)

All the Tactics Ogre games suck.
nah, wasteland 3 is pure trash, just play wasteland 2 if you like the genre
Not at all
Wasteland 2 is great but I don't think Wasteland 3 is trash...
Both are great, but IMO Wasteland 3 is light-years better, in almost every sense!
