My wife is from Caracas Venezuela and she said that you did a really good job for your first Arepas. She was impressed. She makes them for me her husband who is a big fan of yours all the time so you can imagine how excited we both were to see you doing it. Good job my friend.
I don’t blame you at all about not wanting to work with companies that try and dictate to you what to do on your channel. Love your channel and keep up the great work.
Things like that only hurt companies in the long run, people watch a channel, hear about a company doing something scummy, and decide not to buy their products.
My husband will sit and watch you all day 😊. I think he’s a little obsessed 😅. He’s disabled and really wants to go camping in a hot tent. But I don’t think his breathing will allow him to go through the process of putting up the tent , cutting wood etc. We really enjoy watching you cook!!
@pamaronhalt it’s lovely to see your husband binged to watch camping videos with Kent just as me 🤣 I really do hope both you and your husband go for a camp somewhere cozy and safe 🤗 I do pray for you both to have a relationship with our Heavenly Father God knowing that He’s always there for you and your husband wherever you go 🤗 Jesus Loves you both and have a great day!💖

I am right there with them someday when my walking gets better, I want to go camping, but until then I’m either hanging out with Andy Simon for Mark on UA-cam thank you and God bless.
One element of your videos that I really like is watching all the types of equipment you test out and review. One company trying to control your content is not cool. Loved this vid!
OMG! just loved this so we drove up to see Pete, at RoofBunk, and he fitted one to our Ranger. We even went as far and bought the annex too. Can't believe how spacious this is inside and with windows open lets so much light in, the views will be perfect. Really pleased with the support and advice provided by RoofBunk. We are shortly off to Scotland for a couple of weeks. So thank you Andy for your video 🥰can't wait for the next one.

Hi I was born and raised in North Mexico And let me tell you that according to the Traditional and Original cooking You are Great on the entire recipe You brought back memories of my hometown Since I’ve been away from it for 3 decades and your video it’s just heartwarming Well done my friend 👍🏻🌟🎉
Many yrs ago we rented a roof tent & took 3 kids camping in a campground nr a lake. My youngest was 1 month old & nursing. Everybody who saw the baby thought I was crazy, but it was great. The height was fantastic - breezes, no dust, no watching eyes, no bugs (mesh windows). My husband & the oldest boy slept in the truck & I had the younger boy & the baby. It was more primitive than your tent, but opened the same way with the ladder attached to the floor.
I meant to add that I'm pretty sure LoneWolf had the same style roof bunk with the accessory tent skirted under it, but as usual his version of this trip has about 12ft of snow with gale-force winds :) and his lovely pup Boomer who was quite happy and warm up in the tent at night as the winds howled. Nice to see this juxtaposition of you and him camping out with similar gear in very dissimilar terrain and weather.

Another great video - so relaxing. Love the absence of annoying music and your photography is superb. What a great setup, too - think I'd be asking for a discount on that roof tent if I were you! Thanks again.
No extraneous noise (aka music) A major reason I watch this, no background music Only Wind, rain, birdsong, leaf crunching, chopping wood, crackling fire...
Love the roof tent. All the conveniences of home. I really like the fact that it is high off the ground. Yummy meal! You are such a great outdoor chef Andy. Love all the flavors blending together. Enjoy your adventure.
Andy your dinner today brought me back to college when I had a venezuelan roommate who would cook arepas most nights of the week - he was quite good at it, and I could smell those memories in my mind watching you cook today. Nice job!
Just admit it Andy, you're gonna have to buy that roof tent as well, it looks perfect for the job. You know you won't stop wanting it until you've bought it! 🙂 The only thing I am starting to see, is a problem that I have and cant solve, in that, the more 'things' you add on for convenience and comfort, the more irksome it becomes to set up and pack away - a balance to find. It might be worth a fireside chat perhaps with Simon about both of your experiences on managing kit, what kit is essential, desirable or just plain excessive... Just a thought for a future episode for you both. Good work mate. One more point, could you do a review / appraisal of your axe, pros and cons, comparison to others etc, you've had that one a long time now, certainly tried and tested, it would be good to hear your opinion on the steel, how the edge holds out and how often you have to sharpen it, how different wood types affect it? Cheers Andy, atb mate. P.S. I have been very close to buying one of the Winnerwell firepits, either the one you have, or the next one up in size. However, I won't commit until I have seen someone, who I trust, do a review of them both, side by side in a real world comparison to see which one 'fits' best. I think they have seriously dropped the ball here in their approach to you, made me raise an eyebrow and think again about what there customer service may be like...
I am from Argentina but i have lots of Venezuelan friends since there has been a massive migration in the past few years. Those arepas looks really nice. You should also try one day some "Patacones" , also known as "Tostones". Also....we dare you to do a whole episode in spanish :D

Hey brother! In the southern US (Tennessee) we take corn meal and self rising flour (I use MASA) Add ABOUT A TABLESPOON OF CORN MEAL. ( optional add 1-2 TABLESPOON OF SUGAR). Put the dry ingredients all in a mixing bowl stir. Bring water to a vigorous rollong boil. Slowly add water a little at a time stiring constantly until you get a thick batter, a little thicker than pancake batter. Should be like soft ice cream. Butter the griddle or iron skillet As the butter melts pour on some batter to the size you want. The HOT WATER CORN BREAD will cook fast. Thicker batter will give thicker cakes and hold up better. Hey no dirty hands. 😂
