Thank you guys for watching. If you guys want a signed print for your wall I print all of them myself from my large format Canon printer larrychenprints.com/
Thank You for the detailed and informative video! I drove a newer 5.7 Tundra for the first time last week and I was like daaa-uumm my little 'yota just don't cut it no more. I'm on 3 'yotas and planning on the next so this is super helpful.
If I took a shot/drink every time you said "actually" in this video, my liver would have left the chat. Larry, I absolutely love your work & all of your builds. Keep killing it!
First of all AWESOME BUILD!!!!! On a personal note, I like rebuild stories, taking a damaged or wrecked vehicle and bringing it back to life like a fiery Phoenix (the reason I watch so many rebuild videos on UA-cam). I always say the rebuild/build be damned the time, effort and costs was worth as long as you love it!
@charlesjackson5745 I got 1 a 2013 5.7 TRD off-road limited black out edition 4x4 crewmax. If the gas bill doesn't kill ya the repairs will. Been nothing but a money pit since day 1. Constantly blows head gaskets, tons of electrical issues and transmission problems. Currently 196k miles and needs a transmission.
But, is that here one that’s way better than this tundra? It’s not the fastest but if I had to drive one, I’d pick this one. Plus, I’m looking around and I only see a couple that are as cool.
I got to say you did an excellent job on this build. I've exclusively owned Tundras since 2001, and in the three I have owned (2001, 2011, 2021), they have been thee best trucks and never once let me down or stranded me somewhere. My Dad's F-150 ecoboost hasn't been that great to him. This truck is gorgeous and your entire team should take pride in taking one of the best trucks ever built and making it a piece of art for the off road. P.S. I have a similar lightbar in my hood, and I actually put a smaller lightbar in the fake hoodscoop and with two lightbars in the hood my truck looks awesome. Something to think about.
@@THECORNDOGKING I bought the headlight revolutions lightbar. I bought it on a black friday sale in 2021 and paid $600-700 for it and installed it myself. Trust me the install was awful. Getting through the firewall's little port hole felt like Jim Carrey coming out of the rhinos butt in Ace Ventura 2.
Love it man! I'm a mechanic of 20+ yrs and Toyota anything is King! Got a 07 limited 4x4 crewmax that is my baby. 97k on it. Bought it in 2019. The magnusson is my next upgrade! Didn't know about the bigger 2.6 unit til now! WOW! It's on! Can't wait! Subscribed bro! Thanks for a great video!
Great OEM+ Build 🔥 2/6/2024 comment - I always find myself going back to this video and re-watching it. Larry knows all these heavy hitters in the industry, but there's something humbling about this build. A build that anyone can obtain and not some crazy Sema build. Will always be my favorite 2.5Gen Tundra.
Super nice build! Have you thought about doing a spare tire relocation to the bed? Just a single spare bed mount so you can get the spare to be a 37” and not have to worry about hitting the spare while off-roading and such
This what factory Toyota should have released as the TRD package, looks amazing keep up the great work! Love watching all your videos showcasing the car scene around the world!
Love your build I have a gen 1 raptor salvaged and haven't had any problems with it but i'll take your tundra over my raptor just for being unique ,awesome truck buddy.
Great video! Just made the upgrade to my tundra with the King 3.0 shocks. It’s truely amazing bolt on kit compared to a LT Tacoma I used to own. Love the color btw
Officially my favorite tundra online.... perfect. Fenders arent too wide and obnoxious. Supercharger gives it the power to compete. 37s necessary. Beautiful.
you seem to have no limits to what you can do with the truck! i'll tell you my dream build of a tundra is doing a 5.7 supercharged w/ a custom hybrid system maybe from the new tundra onto the v8. do you think its possible? would be somewhere around 700 hp and 750 tq
I love just about everything about this truck. It’s a dream build. Only thing I think would change would be color to the Hakone green, change the wheels, add the 74 weld portal kit if possible and fodees!!
Tundra ECUs can finally be custom tuned? Or still have to use a dealer flash tune or the trash BullyDog programmer/tuner? I used to be on the up & up on Tundras but quit caring about them after years of no aftermarket tuning progress.
Love this build. I’d mount the spare upright on the drivers side behind the bed-I love that old school look. You’ll gain some clearance and can run a full size spare. Might eat up too much space and then there’s the security question. Maybe just do it for out in Baja? I’m surprised to see stock bump stops up front
That is an awesome build!! I have the 21' 1794 tundra and one of the first mods I did was upgrade the sound system. I'm surprised you didn't touch the system, but then again, your figure focus was on off-roading. Don't know if I'll have the $$ for the supercharger, That's one upgrade I would love to do to my truck. I'm retired and on a fixed income, so I'm picking and choosing my little upgrades. Again, that is such an awesome build, best of luck to you on your off-roading adventures!
Love that rock guard. I have been looking for a sidestep that extends all the way to the bed and that looks perfect. Also thank you for getting them to make the widened 6ft beds.
Great results on the build. Wished I lived near u guys so u can build my ‘16 Limited Crewmax like yours. Love the wide body looks & best of all, the Supercharger & suspension upgrade
That truck is definitely worth the money. I got a used tundra during the covid issues because I couldn't order anything and it turned into something I really don't want to work without.
How dare you insult the dual non functional hood scoops! 🤣 jkjk awesome build man. Still planning to do the SC on my Pro. Love the Tundra, happy trails dude!
@@bigdoba317 I understand where you are coming from. I upgraded the motor mounts on my Miata NA and regretted it so I'm changing them to softer mounts.
Totally worth it and way better then a raptor it's unique it's going to be hard to find another tundra like it I'm buying a tundra soon a 2008-2021 crewmax. This gave me some ideas to do with the truck and I've heard lots of good about supercharging the tundras they need that extra power with bigger tires thanks for sharing with us beautiful truck.
Such a sweet truck. After supercharging/tuning my 4.0 Tacoma and making pretty decent power for what it is, I seriously wanna pick up a TRD Rock Warrior with under 150k miles and just slap on a Magnuson blower. 550hp (crank) is no joke even on a fullsize pickup.
Beautiful! But, mighta as well gone (more) all out and gotten 40” BFGs, a 4-link rear suspension, and bed cage with full-size spare. Could you give an update on the SC’s performance, especially, on a dusty environment? TY.
Very helpfully in doing a comparison in whats out and available in the model for this classification of vehicles. Honestly didnt know there was a supercharger kit for this engine nor a body kit for tires on this Tundra. Might go this route instead of VMP Raptor build on a F150.

100%. And the real race is to 500K miles anyways which we all know who wins that decade over decade.
Tundras are built super reliable.@@theepanvr

75K for a "Tundra raptor" is so worth it. This is awesome 😀
That’s almost the price of a midsize Tacoma now.
Nice to know that a company like Camburg still uses Harbor Freight tools. 14:41
Awesome truck too!
And apparently they've never head of jack stands. I threw up a little bit in my mouth watching that embarrassment of a workshop.
Black headliner and interior trim would look soo good on this
