Okay - maybe this is weird, but this actually gave me tears a lil bit bc I got SO excited imagining my life post-recovery. I long for the gym to be just a casual part of my life, with other hobbies and pursuits as part of my full, rich life. Ugh. Can’t wait to get here.
Dani! You are so fun, adorable and SKILLED :) ok, so a couple questions 1. Where/how did you learn to make the floating shelf? 2. How long are you at the gym for your training sessions? Also, I couldn’t agree more with the love for how technical and amazing Oly lifting is. You probably can relate, as an artist yourself, but I feel like it is truly a physical expression of art!! That said, I enjoy hearing how your creativity is coming out in so many places these days.
1. Watched some videos on youtube! But I did change it up a little once I saw all the different ways they can be done. 2. Gym is like, 1 hour max. 3. AGREE it is an art. I don't want to lose it!
i'm having a lot of trouble fully letting go of my ed and embracing recovery. i have made quite a bit of progress but there's still these niggles in my brain that i cannot seem to overcome them. im not sure if all in is the answer and i have also struggled with giving up exercise since its such an important mental release for me (the typical response you get all the time im sure). do you have any advice? I really admire how intuitive you are with movement and i hope to get there one day
When you have an ED it is always baby steps, so taking those small steps is huge progress that you should be super proud of. IT sounds like you really know how you want your future to look like so write about that, journal about that...all the time. Every day. That will help you slowly make you take action and behave in that direction. That's probably my best, first step advice!
