I used the stairs everywhere on my cruise, tried to 10 at least 10km a day on port days and swam for at least an hour a day. I got on the cruise weighing about 130kg, got off after 30 days and was down to 125kg. I ate and drank everything I wanted, but as I was a lot more active than normal, and I also found I sweated a lot as we were in the South Pacific in November, so Bora Bora, Morea and Taihiti was amazingly warm!
I didn’t use the gym but did take the stairs at all times. I did not eat the bread from the bread basket nor did i eat the desserts. I came home 3 lbs heavier but it was easily taken off once I returned to my usual meals
I did quite the opposite on my last cruise. I pigged out especially on desserts, used the elevators, chilled in the hot tubs and ignored the gym came back many pounds heavier but with a huge smile on my face 😁😁😁
Love the tips. I needed this on my first cruise I know I put on weight my first cruise because by the time our formal dining night made it around which was three days in to our cruise I could barely fit in my dress so now I’m trying to be able to fit in it loosely this round.
Ahoy, Ben & David. Great video, as usual. Ah, the infamous weight gain on a cruise! Those were 9 great tips you gave. As we all know, weight gain is much simpler than weight loss. A second the lips, an eternity on the hips, as you know. So, here is a tip if you don't want to suffer from weight loss angst after a cruise: whenever you are tempted to eat, or imbibe something during your cruise, ask yourselves a question: "Would I be having this at home right now?". Just because it's offered doesn't mean you have to eat it, or drink it. In a few words: enjoy your holidays, don't deprive yourself and stay away from pigging out. If you don't gain it, you won't have to release it.
as always great stuff guys. I actually lost a little weight on my 20 day Mediterranean cruise. Only hit the gym 2 or 3 times. I ate anything and everything I wanted too (desserts after lunch and dinner too...sometimes two of them). My secret was taking the stairs all the time and walking on the excursions. If your knees can take it, do it! I also did a few laps around the walking route on the main deck before the shows after dinner. I went with my elderly mother. she likes to get to the theater about an hour early, so I dropped her off and took a nice sunset walk almost every night.
These are great tips guys. I will tell you that I am a fossil. I have found that as I got older things changed. The stairs cause me to fart. A good laugh and I pee myself. A sneeze can be catastrophic. Now at my age I can do all of these at the same time. We oldies call it multitasking. We frequently watch our weight rise and fall like the tide. For us falling is almost a certainty. Good video guys.
Love that there are more sugar free options for desserts. But because we have come across a few mislabeled dishes, we suggest taking a tiny first bite to decide if it is really sugar free. Love your videos!
When I was on my last cruise I took the stairs a lot and I am going to eat light at breakfast and lunch and have a good meal at night and thank you for your info
For lunch and dinner. Soup, more clear variety and then a Salad. THEN protein and carbs. You won't have as much tummy room left but you will feel full!!!
Avoid the bread, just ask the wait staff to not bring the bread basket. Watch the calories you drink, and eat only at the MDR are my best tips. Also you can order your mains as appetizer sized. Love swimming especially in the pool.
The last cruise ship I went on had an outdoor track. I ran around that track at least 30 minutes a day in the early afternoon when it was rather warm outside, but not overwhelmingly hot. I swear I sweated off my breakfast each time, and by the time I got done, it was almost lunch time. So each day, it felt like I only ate lunch and dinner.
I just accept that I will gain about 5 pounds. LOL. But one of my "strategies" is to not overeat. Just because there is all this food available, doesn't mean I need to be eating at every minute of the day. I try not to eat more than I would on land and not really being able to enjoy leftovers (since there are no microwaves in the rooms) means I don't nibble throughout the night.

Cruise & gym are 2 words that do NOT go together!😂😂😂 Love your work!♥️♥️♥️

Great tips. I will try them out on my next cruise in 3 weeks

I plan to use the stairs, gym and walk a lot. Thanks for the tips!!

Love the new set guys

😂 Things to look forward too!

I lost two pounds on my Baltic cruise this last summer. I was purposefully not caring what I ate or drank.
Needless to say, I was stunned.
You two are such a cute couple, and I love your videos. The best part today was David correcting Ben: "Drink lots of alc--" Water!"

Love watching you guys!
LOL, if you're having a gin and tonic every 15 minutes, I really want to see how well you are dancing.🕺💃
The gym was really busy on my last cruise.
I have been dieting and going to the gym for the last two months so i can enjoy all the wonderful food on board the MSC Grandiosa
Love the new set 😍
I put on 8 kilos in nine days. I have no self control and am scared to go on another cruise. I cant wait though and do it again next year
Ha love it!!
Still triumphant that I lost weight on Adonia - maybe I need to stick to ships small enough to not need lifts 🤣
Also. Eat the carbs and sugary foods in the morning. Avoid carbs at night. After 5 just eat protein and veggies
Lmao why
I order children’s meals. Even in the theatre at home city. 👍🏽
What ship at 1:33?
Imma use the gym on board religiously

We stay away from bread at dinner in the MDR.
Great video, but like u said “ I am on vacation “. I will worry about you t when I get back 😁
Take the scary slides, you loose weight just being under adrenaline rushes, haha!
My tip for that cruise weight gain is to lose 15 pounds before a cruise.
I gain 10 pounds on a 7 day cruise, and still have 5 pounds to spare.
I dated a doctor who drilled into me, “It’s not WHAT you eat, but HOW MUCH.” 🤷🏽♀️
Love the portholes!
Btw, what's with the little red dot?
I put 17 pounds on one time. If you don’t gain weight your leaving money on the table.
Alright I have to ask. What did you do to your hair? Lol. Looks cute.
❤❤❤
Taking the stairs only
Lol
