Appreciate this guide, I have been doing some research for my first ever cruise. It'll be on the Norwegian Jewel in a few weeks time going around Australia and New Zealand. So this came out at the perfect time

I went on the Norwegian Breakaway last year & it was BLAST. One of the best experiences in my life. Great Food, Amazing Drinks & The Parties were LIT 🔥. Will definitely plan another cruise soon.

Just did my first ever cruise on the Jade, and absolutely loved it. I only got off 3 days ago, and I've already booked the Breakaway and Bliss for August. I've done the smaller one, now to try the big boys.
We have only sailed on NCL and we are booked on the Sun, July 2021 to Alaska. We have been on the Sky, Escape, Getaway and the Gem. Maybe one day we will have the pleasure of seeing you guys on a future cruise. 😁
We are NCL addicts. Eight so far. Loved the Bliss but think Jade was our favourite, you can't beat the Great Outdoors. Least favourite was the Star. We definitely recommend that you take the drinks package as one of your free at sea perks.
Thank you both for this VLOG. My hubs & I have been cruising with NCL for 25 yrs now. We are in our 70’s now & only book in The Haven. We love the rewards we receive for our loyalty. We have cruised with Carnival, Holland America, Celebrity & RCL. We have cruised on ships that no longer exist such as the Norway, Sea, Majesty, Dawn & Wind. We have booked everything from an inside cabin to The Haven. Honestly, once you’ve experienced The Haven it’s near impossible to cruise any other way. Your lovely & honest review was great. My hubs & I love you guys. Deep in the Heart of Texas.
Just got of the Escape and was able to catch the last performance of Choir of Man. Truly a amazing show and my wife and I both agree its was their best show on any of the NCL ships. Sadly no longer a option on NCL. Keep up the great work guys.
Love that you love NCL. We have done 19 cruises for a total of 324 days on NCL. This year we have an additional 3 cruises booked that will total 54 more days. Other then two cruises on the Epic which were fine but our least favorite, we stick to the Star, Jade, Jewel, Dawn and Sun. We are too old for the big ships😃.

Got my sweatshirt and they sent the wrong size. Working on getting that corrected. Teespring is a hard company to get hold of if you have an issue. Just need it by my June cruise. Your vlogs are so informative. Love them.
The Pearl is based in Boston (my home port) from April to October and does a 7-night Bermuda cruise. This seems to be my best option if I'm ever to afford to cruise again. I've been on the Norway on NCL and HATED it, but that wasn't NCL's fault. It was just too different. The ship was just too damn old. Excited to get onto a newer ship again.
Well, so much for our Spirit cruises this year. After watching your vlog on your RCCL Independence transatlantic, I decided to replace my November Spirit booking with the April 2021 NCL Escape TA *and* a southern Caribbean trip on NCL Epic in December. Hopefully you’ll get to do a Spirit review this year, though - if the rumors are true about NCL moving it to the Mediterranean this summer!
Really been digging your guyses videos. Im booking my first cruise this year and beyond excited. Could anyone recommend a ship that leaves from the US and has tons of stuff to do? Im single and would like to find a ship with a more mature croud, fine dining, jazz and things like that. So much choice when departing from the USA. I would recommend looking at Princess Cruises or Celebrity Cruises. Princess has more going on during the day while celebrity has some fantastic dining options. Both attract an older crowd. Our partner agency will be able to help you. The reason the free at sea costs £99 from the UK is the same as having to pay the gratuities for the drinks package from the Us, they just call it something different as its brits would not get having to pay this for a free perk.

Thanks Ben & David, I'll be traveling solo from now on and I'm 'mature'. My prior cruises (with a friend) were on Royal Caribbean, but I think I will give NCL a try with one of the ships that has the solo cabins. Sounds like an excellent program so you dont feel alone in a bih crowd.
I have a question. My brother and his family have booked the Haven for a cruise. My son gifted me a ticket to go with them. I am excited to go but I am alone and have an inner room on the fifth deck. Am I going to be able to join them in the Haven, go with them as they leave the ship for excursions, or am I going to be struggling to spend time with them. I'm a senior and really don't want to be cruising alone.
Hey Darline. You can visit them in there cabin but you are not allowed in the haven lounge, pool, bar or restaurant. Of course they are free to use the rest of the ships facilities with you and go on excursions together.

October is still warm. It's hurricane season but don't let this put you off booking a trip. You can find some fantastic prices in October but do be prepared for your itinerary to change at the last minute due to weather.

We cruised on the Joy in October , 16 days Panama Canal . It was amazing !
Ah! We would love to do the Panama Canal!
We did one on the Star 8 years ago and swore we would do it again once the new locks were completed . An absolute must-do !

I finally booked another sailing for 2025 Norwegian Joy again lol except going to the Virgin Islands etc.
No other cruise line sales like Norwegian. From services to entertainment to dining. Just black and white compared to others at same price point.
I am going on the Bliss to Alaska this June, first time on a NCL. Looking forward to it.

NCL is my favorite.
Did the Breakaway in 2015 and had the greatest time. One of the best trips ever.
Did the Jade in 2019 and .....nah.

I’ve never heard of having to reserve a seat for shows on a cruise. Do you have to pay for those reservations for special shows?
No most entertainment is free - it's just for dinner shows. You can book on the app or before hand on the cruise planner.
