AOM marketing was selling a game that wasn't AOM, making it looking more cooler and enjoyable than it was, and now it looks like they are doing the same but opposite. So the problem is not just marketing but it definetly is a major one. Saints Row should be more popular and marketing doesn't do justice for new people, maybe 2 of 2000 people.
@@Myshora Insulting your customers and your fanbase who stuck with you through thin and thick for more than 10 years by calling them haters and stuff like that won't help. You don't say "don't buy this then" to you potential buyers. Especially when you are on the budget. (compared to other more successful studios of course) No wonder people got upset with what little info we got. According to people like Flippy, the game looks a lot better. But we are not seeing that yet and Deep Silver does not give anything concrete. Now should be the time to show something, to convince people. To convince fans to give them a chance. I would. But not with this attitude. Also whoever decided to call this game just plain "Saints Row", screw you.
The pure fear you could hear in the voices at the beginning is haunting. The realization Steve Urkel is our new Pierce will haunt my soul forever more.
@禅Aki Keep throwing dirt over the coffin, series is over. "The Saints won't go down with a bang, but with a whimper." - Killbane, SR3. "Reboot is DEATH" - Some random billboard, SR4.
This makes the 2012 - 2014 days of flippy ranting look like compliments. Edit: I posted this comment before watching the entire video. So pretty much, it aged like ice under the sun.
That would make a lot of sense actually. Imagine this trailer is a good old joke to offend everyone, this time only Saints Row fans, and we're back in his simulation?
I have calmed down a bit and am no longer as doom and gloom as I was when I saw the announcement. However, I am looking more forward to SR2's rerelease patch than this game though.
I don't think anything can save this game. The gameplay might be decent, but I don't see them going with a bunch of nerds slowing becoming more gangsta, simply coz gangstas & gangsta culture are politically incorrect. Even SR3 & 4 were politically incorrect.
I do not get why they say it’s more inclusive now, saints row always had, whites, blacks, asians, hispanics with gangs of all types. Johnny gat is literally asian
I agree, I never had the feeling that any single race or group was misrepresented in the previous games. While this reboot is pandering very heavily to the woke SJW zoomers, there's not a single white male in the supporting cast. I'm brown and I find this level of inclusiveness very off-putting. They don't even look like gangster material at all, I don't even want to know their stories. There's only so much change a person can inherently go through; "edgy, non-binary, hipster millennials who're down on their luck" will never be able to become the type of gangsters that fans of the series are expecting. This looks more like a Fortnite spin-off than a Saints Row game, literally no one asked for this. I hope this game is review bombed and boycotted to oblivion, and I hope whoever is responsible for greenlighting/directing this disgrace never finds employment in the Games Industry again. The series started declining after SR3 and now it's not even a husk of it's former self, please vote with your wallets people, that's the only way to get these publishers/execs/devs to listen.
@@SmootherThanSilk yup, I’m not buying it and now that you mention it, the only white guy was saw was the bad guy of that corporation thing. Sad to see SR go like this, I was actually hyped when they said they’re making a new SR a few years ago, but all that is gone now
when they say inclusive they mean towards the wheat toast SJW butch crowd ie weak soft hipster males and butch lesbians who need to remind you how badass they are every second of every day
Johnny Gat is arguably one if the greatest characters in gaming of all time it's just frustrating, I didn't even realize he was Asian until the second game and my literally reaction was, wait he's Asian Ok🤷♂️ and then the decide to kill him off in the opening fuxing act of the 3rd game
While it's too late for that now, they really should've been a much larger group of friends, initially, which then slowly gets smaller as rival gangs pick them off one by one. They get in way over their heads and *_it should show_* . Consequences, you know. And that they have to harden their old lifestyle and their old image if they want to keep building their gang and become a major player. That apparently not one of these 4 college chumps didn't immediately get their head stomped in the moment they try to get into the game is weird and dissonant.
The reveal was bad enough but Deep Silver making it an Epic Games Store exclusive is genuinely one of the most idiotic and short-sighted decisions I've ever seen.
I just miss saints row 2, that was the most badass game and "gangster" the other games start to pale in comparison when it comes to criminality and becomes more comedic and ridiculous. In saints row 2, you had Carlos' death by being dragged by a car
Not to mention the darkest death scene in video game history with the burial of shogo, that shit was dark but I loved it because it was real, not this mass marketing game trying to appeal to everyone
@@Mf10099 Let's not forget they chained Carlos to the back of a truck and drove off full speed. He even gave the boss an unspoken "kill me". Then the revenge of making the man who ordered it squish his girlfriend like a roach and see her squashed remains in a crushed up trunk. That game was fucking brutal. Then in saints row the third we let two rival gang leaders live. The death of the game was more tragic than the death of all those characters combined

It would be dope to have layers and wear options again tho, though perhaps a mix of both while having a lot of items might be too much for Volition, so who knows.
Your saying that, because you are trying to be the voice of reason too. This game is not Saints Row period. If it was named something else, then fine. It’s Gangster Fortnite - Teenage Hipster edition

The irony is that in Saints Row 3 one of the biggest conflicts is brought up by Johnny. Johnny talks about how the Saints need to get back to its roots, and how they’ve lost what a Saint should be.
@@frozezone2947 their roots were they were a gang that protected their neighborhood from other gangs, their purpose was to stop the gangs then the boss and johnny take it from that to just another street gang, doesn't "mean" anything to be a saint there, other than conquest. which i may, i prefer playing as that, the villains
The whole "millennial appeal" thing eludes me completely. I'm technically a millennial myself. Not all of us wear hipster clothing, regularly attend coffee shops or care about social media followers or any of that BS. Some of us actually wouldn't mind an actual gangster styled game. I'd wager most of the people who played Saints Row 1 and 2 when it first came out and are taking objections with this new one are probably millennials as well. It feels like the people this game is trying to represent/cater towards is an urban city bubble.
I too am a millennial and yea not all of us are Star bucks hipsters. We play games to escape. Why do We need characters that need to relate with our generation? Why can’t we get real gangsters?
@@villiannewyork Yep. remember, these people see millennials and gen z mostly through twitter mobs, and only certain types of people actually post regularly on twitter
I cannot get behind these characters. Like when your main casts existence heavily contradicts the premise of the game then you’ll just constantly be taken out of the experience at every turn. Just seeing them walk up to that one gun and the Boss holding a gun up to his head I’m just thinking “That guy could body all of them”. The games trying to be like “Yea these hot topic hipsters are capable gangsters” and it’s not working and it ruins the appeal of the game. Not to mention Volition saying this game won’t have the same sense of humor as the old games and they’ve already censored some returning businesses like Frecklebitches. I cannot in good conscience buy this game.
The thing is though, we all know people mainly play saints row for the fun shit you can do in the sandbox. Yeah having a good story is always a bonus, but I don’t think it will be as trivial when you’re stacked with weapons and upgrades and you’re spending hours having fun doing whatever you want (may I add with a created character that doesn’t have to look like a hipster lol). If you’re wanting this game to look better, stay positive and wait until we see more gameplay, or even try it when it’s discounted further down the line. No hate here, just don’t understand the barrels of hate it’s getting so early from the announcement!

I heard some people are like “we don’t want something they already did.” And yet SR2 is one of the most loved in the franchise. It took something that already exists in objective and the contents of the city and changed it up in to something better.
I'm pretty sure Flippy has moved away from Saints Row and video games in general in the last few years. The guy is a now a hard working man that doesn't have time with the streets of the Row, which is probably why his schedule has been really... questionable as time went on.
I might be tripping here but I think he was brought back by Saints Rows team, as a form of promotion, you know even if the game is talked about bad publicity is publicity, the thing that got me is that he mentions a few words that SR highlights in their mini behind the scenes, “this game is the most customizable” “most customizable boss” “beautiful but large desert map” like yes all that is good but where’s the soul. That’s the reason why the community is in shambles
The new characters are relatable……to the developers. The 26 year old programmers and graphic designers that make 6 figures per year and whose biggest worry is their student loans probably look just like this, and have the same hobbies (minus all the cool stuff). You know there’s a dev with a food themed sleeve and purple hair.
Yes, I want to join the gang with the buff leader, he sounds more interesting than those hipsters who are shown doing badass things when they all look like an add to bring bullying back

@@bfsjay4660 you can reboot and remake at the same time you realise right? saints row 1 and 2 will definitely be remade if this game doesn't kill Volition. Not clicking your link either.
It's funny how the harshest critic of the series we all know and love as Flippy is the most fairest of the bunch when it comes to the new Saints Row Reboot.
Because he's at least trying to see the potential in the reboot, and not prematurely condemning it like it's the worst thing to happen since the Holocaust. You can be both, a true loyal fan to the original and open-minded to the reboot
I just can’t stand the art style, that’s literally my own complaint, this new thing of having cartoony characters in 4K with ray tracing in hyper realistic worlds always just looks strange and out of place
If anything I know I can always trust flippy, he’s never afraid of saying how bad a game, and if he thinks that a game is going to be good. So for now based on this video I’m feeling better about the reboot.
This as all the red flags already... PR insulting fans, devs dissing the previous games saying they were "too edgy" and "a product of their time", Californian hipster char design.... What else do you need?
Indeed. The only way I see the franchise being saved is if they sell the IP and the game is developped and written by passionate og fans that actually listen to the fanbase. If that doesn't happen, id be happy with a spiritual sucessor at this point.
I really hate when they and new fans try to diss the older games to try and justify the things people don't like in this direction. Too edgy? Its an M-rated game but they seem to not get that anymore.
Given how there's hardly much of the Saints gang being shown, and it showcases the four characters(nothing wrong with that really, given it's the beginning of their gang), I can't say I blame them. Almost looks like a GTA Online Heist soap opera lmao
Let's talk about motivation. You're allowed to not like Saints Row The Third or Saints Row 4, but all the games before this had an ongoing theme that at the very least was your motivation as a player. Survival. These games had settings that were clearly hell to traverse through to a degree. Your job was to take all that chaos and basically put it under your control. Because you had to. This? This just feels like a bunch of randoms just thinking they can take over the world because "idk, we're bored". Idk I guess that was the "Millennial power fantasy" but idk. I feel like if that was the appeal of Saints Row, it was because of the multiplayer than anything else. The story being that doesn't mean much. Might as well not have the story. Hell, I think I'd take some generic "We grew up here. This is our home. It's time to protect it." motivation over "We're taking over the city bc yolo lmao".
I'd at the very least hope that the story of them trying to get money for debt can snowball into the "oh fuck we messed with the wrong people while we're trying to get easy money, and have to survive from getting killed when we realized this isn't just a fun time" story, as they're getting used to the gang lifestyle It's a wish, but since this is a Saints origin story in a reboot, it would sound like something to happen, because the new Saints aren't gangsters right off the bat.
@@acunt You'll probably be surprised to know that most of the people who worked on AOM.left the company..which used to be 200 people. Now I can see why Deep Silver is hiring for new employees. And probably Volition as well. 😂

Even if it was and the story was better overall than SRIV's, it would then just feel like it was wasted on characters that aren't really gangsters or urban, and in a setting I don't care about.
"They just aren't gang members." That's...Exactly right, yes. They aren't. It's an origin story and that is the whole point. The originals were hardly gangsters either. Pierce wore a sideways visor and Gat had Guy Fieri brand frosted tips.
I don't think the diversity of race is so much giving off that vibe that it's "SJW" or "Woke" rather than their mannerisms and appearance. The haircuts and clothes they wear just doesn't look like something a gang would wear and more like your local university activist.
I mean could the characters look any less like gangmembers? I mean the main characters are supposed to be bad people they dont need to be woke looking guys trying to pay their student debts.
It could be interesting too see them turn into gangsters over time. But I am pretty skeptical because the trailer seems to imply we should think their designs are cool as is. Mostly they just remind me of the characters in Watch_Dogs 2
I think people are calling it woke because it’s going the safe hippy ☮️ 🏳️🌈route to not hurt any of the lgbt community feelings even though they were never offended by a saints row game. You can tell just by this trailer it’s trying to be made for everybody it doesn’t have that “idgaf” gangster feeling that saints row 1 and 2 had.
I'm not one spouting the woke bs. But I do see where it's coming from.the fact that volition in the interviews are hyping the diversity in this game as a selling feature when the games have always been diverse is a red flag at who they're trying to market to.
Also what a lot of people have been saying is that the story maybe trash but the gameplay is good well I'm not just here for the gameplay the gameplay in saints row 3 was fine but I hate that game because it took the story of the saints and it kind of ruined it in my eyes. Saints row 2 the story was great and the gameplay was really fun that's what kept me playing the game if these characters are ass the entire way through the game why bother and with what they showed us immediately I'm just not going to pick it up or again I might wait for a really deep discount I'm talking sub $10.

This game might as well have just been called "Saints Row The Third Part Two" to me honestly, don't get me wrong I loved SR3 (My character in my UA-cam picture is even wearing a Decker outfit) but honestly everything after SR2 wasn't Saints Row to me. I have no doubt the gameplay will be fun, they all were. But in saying that, I don't agree with what you said about some of this gameplay Flippy, to me this looks less like a smoother version of the third's but more like a basic bitch si-fi third person shooter. I do agree with you about the laser guns & that stupid far out bullshit. It's retarded. The story will by far be the worst aspect of this game let's be honest, with characters like this & how Volition has been boot licking to high hell the story will be trash. I honestly can't say I believe you when you said that the customisation might be the best we've seen either, because it will take A LOT to get better than what SR2 was (especially with the clothing) but I can't say I'd end up being disappointed by it either because all SR games have been good in their own ways with customisation. You also mentioned upgrades & with the comparison clip of that stupid ass dodge roll I can safely say that would be another thing to be highly disappointed about, especially if they're like SR3/4. All & all, to me this game will decide the fate of Volition as a company. After Agents of Mayhem if this game doesn't end up kicking ass it'll drive their company into the ground. But after how they've been treating us (justifiably) not liking how this looks, I sure as shit won't be sad if they go bankrupt. I'll be sad for the series, but not them. To me, this is not Saints Row. This looks like some dumpster baby that SR3 & Watch Dogs 2 made together, I was one of the many hoping to god we were going to get a return to roots. But, as per usual with the Saints Row franchise I'm left disappointed.
I personally disagree with a couple of your statements but respect your opinions I currently don't want to rate the game until I can actually play it cause going into a game already hating it is pretty bad and I still agree with what Idolninja said about the reboot before he past saying he think people will enjoy it plus he worked some aspect of the game.

Volition just doesn't understand their audience. They continue to pretend like balancing a crime drama with over the top action and humor is impossible. This is neither gritty or funny though...so there's almost nothing that distincts itself as saints row.
Don't count them out just yet, something tells me they know exactly what their doing, my proof? And in the CGI trailer, you already steal a bunch of their weapons from another gang, who just stole those guns from them. And there are only 3 gang as we know so they are not new Ultor.
I had a feeling this was more of a reboot of SRTT, from the Saints being a company in SRTT, to the Pantheros being Luchadores, to the terrible looking Idol guys being the Deckers, and as you mentioned. Recycled STAG as a gang, and Burt Reynolds instead of Cyrus. No Morning Star though because too sexual I bet. Eli being Pierce from SRTT.
We weren't just "hating on" the fact she's a black woman with a pixie cut. Because customization was never confirmed in the trailer, a lot of us were under the impression that her design just IS the new boss, and Volition expected everyone to get used to it.

I don't ever forsee myself playing this, and I'm saying this as a person who've played all of the Saints Row games except Agents of Mayhem. I scoffed at this even more when I heard this game isn't likely gonna have the same kind of tone and humor as the previous ones like the first two SR titles just to not piss off the social media outrage mobs who serve no purpose with anyone but themselves and thier petty views. It doesn't help when I see the official Twatter account of this game calling those who rightfully criticized it haters and whatnot, which isn't too surprising since I already realized that we live in a day and age where it's somehow cool for creators to dunk on their own audience whenever they recieve criticism from them. I feel like this "Saints Row" reboot is none other than just yet another nail to the coffin for this franchise, and they should just give it up already. Thank God I abandoned this franchise as a whole.

The fact you mentioned the Saints are "trying to find their identity" and "they change colour to purple over the campaign" implies they already have plans for a sequel.

They should just release the gameplay that influencers got to see. Why wouldn't they? The longer they go on like this, the longer they have to push away potential customers.
I just don't care about the gameplay anymore because I know throughout the entire thing, these characters will be talking shite the whole time with cringey attempts at humour just like in watch dogs 2. The "get the fuck away from my friends" is about the worst possible line they could choose for that scene in a gangster game. When there’s still tons of players today that still play Saints Row 1, 2, & 3 to this day and Volition/Deepsilver know that but still won’t bother to remaster or give an actual Saints Row game… then there’s a problem. I honestly think this wasn’t the developers’ decision I think the higher ups told them what they can and can’t make. Obviously they went for a Fortnite type look to make it a selling point. It’s sad but don’t be mad at the developers just blame Fortnite because ever since that F2P trash dropped, it has ruined gaming. BTW if Nolan North and Troy Baker don’t make a return for the voices in this game we need to riot. Also if there’s no cheat codes I’m going to lose it. But yeah that’s my 2 cents.
1.) They remasted 3 last year, as for why not 1 or 2, well if I were to guess, they're their engine is too old, Rockstar had a similar problem with the mobile ports of San Andreas since Renderware have not been updated since 2004, that's actually why they're using Unreal 4 for the "new ports we're getting" 2.) UA-cam: Yeah, its actually GTA V
Given how there's hardly much of the Saints gang being shown, and it showcases the four characters(nothing wrong with that really, given it's the beginning of their gang), I can't say I blame them. Almost looks like a GTA Online Heist soap opera lmao
Also UA-cam: nah this is the Fortnite side game.
GTA V had a side mission specifically for killing hipsters
Thank you
I'd at the very least hope that the story of them trying to get money for debt can snowball into the "oh fuck we messed with the wrong people while we're trying to get easy money, and have to survive from getting killed when we realized this isn't just a fun time" story, as they're getting used to the gang lifestyle
It's a wish, but since this is a Saints origin story in a reboot, it would sound like something to happen, because the new Saints aren't gangsters right off the bat.
"If you told me it was a leaked screenshot of Watch Dogs, I'd believe it" Damn.... Same view too

Don't count them out just yet, something tells me they know exactly what their doing, my proof? For me I'm currently wondering if these developers have even heard of saints row 2.

And tone down the laser weaps
And in the CGI trailer, you already steal a bunch of their weapons from another gang, who just stole those guns from them.
And there are only 3 gang as we know so they are not new Ultor.
exactly.
I thought it was more Ultor crossed with the morningstars than stag
Which is an absolutely retarded impression to have considering the character creator has been a staple of the SR francise since the first game and on top of the feature being talked about in the description of the trailer.

This is just going to be AoM all over again except this time worse considering the official Saints Row social media is showing contempt towards fans who are speaking out about how this doesn't feel at all like a Saints Row game, it's an insult for Deep Silver to even call this game Saints Row and I hope that the eventually learn their lesson when the game tanks sales wise at launch.
Contempt for fans seems like it's really going around these days. It's a pandemic.
I will never understand why a coorparation, you know, the thing literally existing to make money, would get emotional enough to blame the people theyre tryingt to sell to. You'd think if all they care about is money they would immediately apologize and completely rework the game, but somehow nowadays they manage to be both greedy and at the same time going against the player.
Imagine the pride of a company like deepsilver considering their track record. Never gonna happen
@@Mariofan308 That's because every single entertainment is slowly getting woke. Their goal isn't to make money, but to spread their political biases.
Ever noticed how these always fail and yet they go upwards ? They fail upwards.
Epic is largely owned by Tencent a Chinese company. It is in the interest of China to make the west more woke. The west will tear itself down.
They get their hands on your favourite movies, games etc. completely fill it up with woke bs, then call the fans "toxic fans" and when the product fails, they blame us, every single time.
@@0Leonx0 Cringe.
I was one of the biggest haters of this game when the trailer was first released, but now it's settled in and I've watched some gameplay. I can say it looks good, just wish it wasn't called saints row.
Benefit of the doubt.
I mean the point is that Saints Row could be anything with a reboot. They're basically giving us SR3 gameplay with a better map, so why not keep calling it "Saints Row"?
@@Flippy Plus, if it wasn't called Saints Row, people would just be going "Why isn't this Saints Row?"
It does not look good. How have you reached that cope?
@@lexion8152 yes it does, gameplay looks pretty good and map looks amazing along with the graphics
I honestly thought the "new" gang was going to be a joke gang that the real gang would blow up or something in the trailer. Would have been hilarious if that was the case and would have made me hyped to buy the game. This "new" gang are the exact people that would run and hide from conflict, not try to engage in it.
I am just so grateful to hear flippy’s voice again, I could listen to it for hours on end
The fact you mentioned the Saints are "trying to find their identity" and "they change colour to purple over the campaign" implies they already have plans for a sequel.
Which it's about time they plan their sequels a little better. The last 4 games there were so many loose ends and SR1 wasn't even supposed to end the way it did
This is what the community deserves for buying and supporting Saints 3 and 4.
though I'm not sure what we did to deserve Saints 3 and 4 after we got the masterpiece that is 2
Saints Row the Third was the last good one & it was fking awesome I don’t get the hate around it 🤷♂️
Saints Row 3 felt a little over the top but still kept it a bit realistic, then 4 came out and they sh*t the bed pretty much.
I’m looking forward to this game while Even though these “Saints” look like they’re staring in a Netflix Teen High School Drama/Comedy series.
@Lil Yeet You’re absolutely right.
Same, im excited but extremely skeptical if this is gonna be good. Maybe we'll be surprised!
@@VALHALLA_REAL seen from another comment they're using censorship for their old brands like freckle bitches and even rim jobs. Seems this new game will be for kids.
first the game is a failure and then adding dlc johnny gat will involve maybe
@@joshuagraham2843 I hope they don't include Johnny in this game. Let the man RIP with the OGs. Gat wouldn't get involved with this shit.
I just don't see how they can fix these characters. Everything else I've sort of coped with but that just seems unredeemable. Especially after Violitions responses.
They could develop along the campaign and become "proper gangsters". However I really can't see them do that. Seems to cool and awsome to be true.
@@nir4s63 I mean I'd be surprised if that isn't what they're going for but idk same guys who made saints row 4
@@OH-uh4pc I'll be more suprise if they actualy do it. I have a feeling that they gonna stick to casts' "relatable" personalities till the end.
@@nir4s63 Yea I've thought about that but it just seems like wishful thinking. Especially after everything the devs have said after the trailer released.
The best comment I saw on the trailer was “what saints row fan ever thought, yeah I wanna play as the deckers those guys are cool.”
Man I really hope the bring back the male British voice option, he’s always been the boss to me
Amen, my Boss has always been Duke Nukem with the British voice
That's the best voice
You mean Charles Shaugnessey from SR2, he was actually a very well known actor from the 90s, starred in soap operas and was the master of the house in the show The Nanny.
Amazing voice actor and he WAS the only legit voice for the MC in SR2, end of story.
*“We’re going back to the gang roots!”*
“Well that was a Fucking lie”
The funny thing is, the developers themselves have never once said this. It's all been speculation by the fans, literally.
@@Dante-fb9ej Yeah look at the wall and what Saints Godzilla said
@@Adam_X78 What about the wall? How do you know tagging on the walls won't make a return? And Saints godzilla is a UA-camr. Not a developer of the game.
@@Dante-fb9ej Oh my God What is the first thing you see rival gangs do in the first game? And a big part of collectables as well And second with Saint Godzilla he literally said “It’s a mix between Saints Row 2 and 3” so obviously after everything we’ve heard And told volition we want in the new saints row game it’s not hard to believe we were going back to roots and for and Then they post a photo of the wall this doesn’t click anything in your head?
Holy shit, I was 13 when I first started watching your videos and playing Saints Row. Time flys by so fast. I'm literally 20 now, kinda grew up with this UA-cam channel. Thanks so much man, you added so much to my childhood.
Yeesh. Yeah I’m not very confident in how this is going to go. No matter how good the gameplay and customization is, if the story keeps going in this direction it’ll look more like a sit-com than Saints Row.
The game ends with johnny gat and playa finding out about a new gang using their brand and go to set things straight
Thank you for this! 🙏
Thanks for coming back Flippy. I and I'd imagine many others are very happy to see your return over these past few weeks. Has made a lot of difficult times a little easier.
Honestly, seeing this just makes me want to replay the old Saints Row games. Where did it all go wrong?
The fans, mostly. Volition went back to roots and restored stuff lost in SR3/4 and people are still moaning about it because it's not a pure remake of 2.
@@grabble7605 The fans fault? SR3 wasn't remotely similar to sr2, you could already see hints of them gettig a hardon with mass effect parodies and over the top unbalanced humour.
It was Volitions fault for getting butthurt and taking to those trolls who callef them "GTA clone" too seriously
@@Elixir6336 THAT. That is the reason why Volition went so off the rails of the Saints Row Franchise.
Saint's Row "the third" was the falling point of the series.
@@Spidoc Yup
They should just release the gameplay that influencers got to see. Why wouldn't they?
The longer they go on like this, the longer they have to push away potential customers.

“The key in life is to lie to yourself about reality.” -Peter Griffin
I just don't care about the gameplay anymore because I know throughout the entire thing, these characters will be talking shite the whole time with cringey attempts at humour just like in watch dogs 2. The "get the fuck away from my friends" is about the worst possible line they could choose for that scene in a gangster game. Not to mention locking it to a store where COOP flatout doesn't work without a 3rd party tunnelling program in SR3.
The new saints look like a group of high school hackers
Straight outta watch dogs
1.) They remasted 3 last year, as for why not 1 or 2, well if I were to guess, they're their engine is too old, Rockstar had a similar problem with the mobile ports of San Andreas since Renderware have not been updated since 2004, that's actually why they're using Unreal 4 for the "new ports we're getting"
2.) Do you remember how 4 ended, you know with the world blowing up, they written themselves into one hell of corner
3.) So having a colorful world is a thing Fortnite invented?
@@nickrustyson8124 still though why not just remake 1 or 2 from the ground up? I mean look at the first Mafia game. Sadly though if they remade 1 or 2 it probably wouldn’t be the same. I know they are having trouble obtaining the code for the game as well. Obviously Saints Row 3 did the more colorful pallet first but idk the mask and the whole vibe seems for of a Fortnite vibe especially the open world. I’m not saying this game will be terrible I just hope they aren’t giving it an identity crisis. Because right now this doesn’t look like Saints Row… at all. The characters look like someone who the OG Saints would bully. I also hope that they don’t hold back on the vulgarity… you know… like Saints Row has always had.
@@slymystic948 A colorful cartoony artstyle is not Fortnite. 5 years ago people said games with that artstyle are Overwatch clones. It's all just empty criticism that means jack shit. As for why there isn't a remake of SR1 and 2, it's really simple: that would take a shitton of effort and money to do which Volition doesn't have.
@@mrshadowduh9394 you are missing the point. It has the same vibe which means it’s close to it. You can’t look at the character models in the CGI trailer and still back up that it doesn’t look like fortnite sorry but no. Volition has actually tried to bring Saints Row 1 & 2 back but the code for the game is hard to obtain it was on a livestream they did a long time ago. They are currently working on a patch though for Saints Row 2 that will fix a lot of issues and make improvements for PC.
@@slymystic948 fortnite is way cartoonier, old saints row was also way cartoonier than the current CGI and gameplay trailer that we have gotten. I feel like people forget the artstyle of the old saints row games inside the actual game and think of it as their CGI trailers and poster arts.
the only thing that stylistically looks kinda like something fortnite-y is the dude with the cat helmet, but we had deckers do the neon thing first, it isnt really new to the franchise
saints row series been the most politically correct game ever since 2006.
customizable character, any race, any gender.
any race or any gender in your crew and rival factions.
never any racism ever through every story line.
now its overdone and feels forced, when before it wasn't even a thought, and it was better.
Lmao it's definitely not "politically correct", but every thing they do is jokes
As Flippy said, nothing about this game is woke so it's not really over done.
@@notmattmurdock7663
The main characters very obviously are made to appeal to a certain audience and they absolutely aren't going to include the subversive childish humor the game is known for
