I usually like to put a bit of temporary support structure in to the car before cutting it that far apart. I have a 67 coupe that I am contemplating doing this to.
they are very flimsy cars but I have had no issues with structure sag

Yes, what about temporary support welded inside to keep chassis and body structure aligned ? You are the first person I see not to do that. I am about to undertake this too, but I would have emptied all the parts lying inside car and tack welded support bracing in before cutting

Yeah I don’t use that word, we aren’t building one of them since the news. We decided to go gt500 route since b is for build had their issues

You didn’t brace the inside of it, which would keep body aligned
I have jigs, knowing I cut it down to the rockers I had to jig it to weld in all the rear frame rails and floor, no footage due to corrupt memory card

@@blanemangraford4747 the front factory coupe rail will work for front but the rear will need a rear fast back brace and the drip rails will have to go on before the skin goes on and I’ll get a better detailed video of that

The very first thing you should have done is weld in some braces, so hold the body and keep it from bending when it is all cut apart and very poor editing, the music is 10 times loader then your voice.

Did you see the finished product? Easily a 6 figure car and all door, fender, trunk gaps line up perfectly, no braces.
