You’re a champ for even attempting this. You’ve definitely given us an idea of what’s going on with this L6 cab vs a tube amp. Bravo! Please don’t give up...your insight is much appreciated!
I just wanted to give you some words of encouragement. Good job with the video. Yes the sound was a little all over the place but I am sure you will get that figured out. Keep it up, and learn as you do.
Hey, thanks for the video, liked it! I listened to it with a set of good headphones and I have to say that the PC tone feels more musical to me. Having said that, I can see why the feel of the amp being a factor - it’s not about the tone, it’s about the feel of sound being pushed at you AS you are listening to it - cannot replicate that with flat IRs. In the context of that tonal imprint - as you mentioned of the KPA - have you tried something like the UA’s OX, perhaps?
Heck, I thought the Powercab sounded at least as good or better in the video audio. Interesting that you say the Kemper has it's own sound no matter what, I feel this way about all modelers/profilers but many will disagree. You also say that you're returning the Powercab but have plans to do a future video running a real amp through it, hmmm????
Big like and comment. I like your videos, and that heartfelt introduction reminds me of me. I may highjack your style there. 😆 I’ve settled on a Gigboard after trying a Helix and GT1000. I still haven’t solved a portable amp-in-room solution to play with a band.. what say you? I’ve been looking a LOT at the Celestion F12 and trying to find someone that’s found a reliable way to use it, which I haven’t.. a Powercab, a Deuce Deluxe... so many options, and nobody can settle on one. Also I love the Strat with that headstock-is that PRS? wow. I need a PRS Strat!
Noodling songs = 1) My Heart Will Go On: Cover by A New Found Glory, 2) Drink In My Hand: Eric Church, 3) Something by Counting Crows...? Even if the Kemper + PowerCab feel a certain way, hate to say it, but in this video they blow the VibroVerb out of the water. Thanks for posting!
It is very valuable to hear your thoughts since you are in the room. In that setting, did the PC112 provided a more pleasant experience with your KP, compared with the FRFR monitors your’ve tried? Would you say it is a keeper?
Tim Heerebout nice try? Don’t know what your getting at? Just saying maybe you shouldn’t of bought a $2,299 guitar if you “can’t afford it”, you would’ve had more funds to dedicate to your overall tone. I learned that mistake the hard way too. Just doesn’t seem logical, maybe you thought you would play better with that guitar. I like John Mayer as a player, but....The new charvel pro mod dk24’s play way better with more tonal versatility for half the price, if your after a super strat. PRS are overpriced, overrated, and the fretboard is uninspiring. I might be biased and you might’ve made out better with an Eric Johnson strat or an Ibanez AZ prestige, for that price range. Maybe I was hoping to hear more from the amp demo, I can see a booger in your nose, and you need to spend more time dialing in Tim. Subbed.

Thanks for the love Tim!!!
Keep going forward with the videos. They are quite informative.

Good communicator!
I actually prefer the line 6 to be honest.

Just curious did you turn off the Kemper cab profile to do the comparison ?
Tim Heerebout awesome thank you ... nice demo
Tim Heerebout thank you ... let me know if you need any assistance with the PC 🔊🎸

Power cab for the win in my opinion.
“Can’t afford to keep both”, says the $5000 candy apple red John Mayer PRS . Should’ve gotten the silver, IMO.

The real amp is the best sound for me.
Powercab IS a real amp...!
