Will this work with Curved stamps??
If you are referring to hand stamps engraved on a radius to mark the inside of rings, and you are now successfull marking with them using a hammer, yes it will work.
FYI.....Titanium and carbide rings can not be marked.

What are the differences between this machine and the SSU?
The main difference between the Stamp Perfect SSP and the SSU is that the SSP is a press and the SSU is a hammer. The SSP is marks your piece by pressing the hand stamp to mark. This is a very quiet machine to use. Depth of mark is controlled by the pressure you set. The SSU delivers an internal hammer blow to the hand stamp to mark. You will hear hammer blow. The SSU does not have the power range of the SSP so marking larger character will not be as deep as the SSP can provide.
What a shame they are so expensive, puts it out of my reach for business. Im researching just a basic cheapo harbor freight press as an alternative
You may save more money than you think using the right tool for the job.
It is expensive. I saved and saved groc. money and birthday money and I finally got one. It took me a while of course. I'm just a stay at home crafter for fun. It was worth it. Ease of use is awesome. Love it! Steel Stamps provided great service too.
I bought a cheap one and am so discouraged that I want to quit, I wish I had waited a minute taken a breath saved some more money, and bought this one. I hope the previous response won't encourage the company to cut costs and change the quality of the product. The wrong tool is usually more expensive emotionally and financially. Oh yeah, pretend I'm funny I've got an excellent arbor press to sell you, hardly used.
Great product! It’s not a maker’s responsibility to make their hard work “affordable to all.” Quality is worth something. It’s up to us as customers to save for whatever is valuable to us. You get what you pay for.

Awesome device. But you are overcomplicating the whole process of marking.
We believe we have made marking jewelry much less complicated. You do not have to worry about proper alignment or spacing of your stamped characters. It also provides a uniform depth of mark for every character stamped.
Hi, Can you stamp on materials made with tool steel ? I want to stamp on screwdriver bits, thanks
Most tools, and screwdriver bits, are heat treated or forged to provide a hard durable tool. In most cases tools like screwdrivers and wrenches will be too hard to mark. You might get a light mark, however, you will dramatically reduce the life of your hand stamps.

The engraving on the stamp determine the alignment of the letters. The Stamp Perfect SSP will provide consisting stamping pressure in the same location/orientation. It doesn’t make sense that the same stamping result will be displayed on a soft or hard metal..If the force is strong enough for stainless steel, it should leave a dent at the back of a soft metal such as aluminium. It does makes sense however, if the stamping force of the handle can be adjusted to suit to each need.
The Stamp Perfect SSP allows you to control the depth of mark by simply raising or lowering the height of the head holding your hand stamp. Please note, the harder the piece you are marking, the more pressure it will take to pull the handle down for the same marking depth.
As shown in the video, this machine PRESSES (at a controlled depth) the hand stamp face into the piece to be marked, IT IS NOT A HAMMER BLOW. That is why the machine is so quiet when marking. A hammer blow can be very loud and will leave stress marks "dents" on the back of soft metals such as aluminum or any material. Stress marks, "dents" of the piece you mark are inevitable, however, they are far less with the Stamp Perfect SSP.

Great to hear you love our Stamp Perfect SSP hand stamp machine. Our machine holds each stamp straight and square, unfortunately, some of Impress Art stamp characters (and other manufacturers) are not always engraved straight and square on the face of their hand stamps. Some people have told us that the resultant mark of Impress Art economical hand stamp sets makes their words look more "hand stamped" rather than machine marked, but it can be annoying to perfectionist like us. Steelstamps.com makes our own hand stamps in any font you may like. Keep us in mind for your future hand stamp requirements.
You may contact Impress Art and see if they might replace your "i" stamp, or at least sell you an individual "i" hand stamp that is aligned.
