Usually I don't like 3d with 2d, but the way you integrate it here is amazing. Thanks for the informative content as always
Awesome to see the combination of 3D and 2D being pushed that far! In a similar vein, I watched Arcane a week ago, and the way that 3D and 2D were combined there was absolutely breath-taking; inspirational animation by Studio Fortiche.
My favourite weather condition is probably partly overcast, with clouds racing across the sky and the light shifting from sun to shadow. There is something so dynamic about constantly changing weather, and plus it doesn't get too hot.
just because u sir I start drawing
Awesome! Its a lot of fun!

Rainy day
Amazing. Thanks for sharing so much of your process and thinking. It is SO interesting to see how people work, and see how much you put into your amazing animation 😍
Thanks Rachelle! 😃
@@OlofStorm good work
This is just insane, very inspiring, great work!
I am agree
I always like your animation style~ Happy new year!
Thanks! Happy new year!
i am always speech less with every video you put out
This right here is A rated stuff🙌, well done!!!
when do you reckon the film will be finished? :)
Amazing. Thanks for sharing so much of your process and thinking. It is SO interesting to see how people work, and see how much you put into your amazing animation 😍
Looks good! Some rain puddles would've been nice after the rain section. Could also help to add more depth.
wow, this is absolutely incredible. as an animator and a climber this rules.
Followed your work for a while but never really took note of your full name.
Now all I see is: "Olof the Storm that is APPROACHING!" lol XD
This is some really fantastic and inspiring technique!!
omg this was a really sweet timelapse shot. loved it a lot!!
That was incredible to watch!
Especially the night, with the lighting...
If you are taking suggestions...the 2nd section's mist was a bit flat...
Love the nighttime shot - those shadows really sell it!
Wow, this is incredible and awesome! Thanks for sharing Olof! ✨
🔥
It's amazing! Thank you for such a wonderful lesson!
I'm working on a sky timelapse and even if I'm not using the same software this is really helpful, thank you!
What cant this guy do????? Amazing work
Really beatiful i love the color palette!
Keep up the great work
This channel inspires me to make my own shortfilm. love it!!
Superb. Absolutely insane the amount of work and creativity just for this one shot. Love it!
Following you since Sensations, man your videos never disappoint! Always gives me motivation to get up and create something, keep up the good work!
Awesome! Thanks for sticking around 😃😃
These shots look amazing. You do a really good job with blending both 2d and 3d.
I Like Rainy Days.
Great video
Software??
Cinema 4D :)
Night 🔥
I thought it was blender work
very smartly done! your videos fit so well with my split between being proficient in 3d and loving the character and 'auteur' feel 2d can give me. But then you seem quite a few years ahead of me in filmmaking experience, and so for me you are such a useful guide/pathfinder to have! Also useful having the MoCap suit limitations mentioned, very much a tool I've been looking into recently
This is really great, Olof.... great job done here. :)
I love your creative use of the particle systems with the cloud effects there. I love seeing 2d effects used in a 3d environment... you can get some really great effects with simple 2d animations, even in textures for something like water flowing or something as well.
Looks like everything's going so well. I'm also making a personal 3d project, very different to yours, and that progress is going ok.
Thanks again for making this video and awesome stuff. :)
Amazing job on this, love seeing it come together.
Personally, foggy with light rain is my favorite. Second favorite, dark and windy with a storm on the horizon.
You did an amazing job here Olof! No wonder, this must have been quite the undertaking😯 I like the misty/fog conditions, nut the night scene adds some nice contrast too🤩
Thanks!
amazing work as always
When the motion capture is sped up, it looks like a funky dance. Awesome progress, btw.
You make so beautiful art
Amazing work bro 🔥💯
Your work is amazing to the eye and mind, I wish you success
Sunny is always neat. But even though it is winter, I like going out in the early morning when it's really dark, as long as it isn't windy ofc.
how can you be my teacher?
Such a beautiful scene and I really appreciate you sharing the insights about how it came to be. Thank you so much and keep it up! :)
Very inspiring! Thank you for sharing your process in such a detailed manner. I enjoy most weather conditions, with the exception of stifling heat and humidity - although I do love the thunder storms that sometimes follow. Not that crazy about bland overcast days either (why do I live near Seattle?) but you work with what you get. No use complaining about weather! I am very intrigued to see the final animation one day.
Yeah !!! Loved it .....T-T
Love it! Couldn't help but smile when I saw the characters move in that timelapse style.
Every time you post you inspire me. Every single time.
Thanks! Makes me happy to hear that!
rainy person all day
This is a gold mine!
WOW!! Loved the scene where they're within the clouds!! Beautiful process video!! 🙌⛰🌼✨
Thanks! 😃
I like rain
this is insane project..woow
It looks amazing, but if I may say one thing: the first clouds look a bit flat in comparisson to the rest. I don´t know how long you are taking to produce this film, but it must be a year ago I saw an update. Might be me.. Somehow youtube doesn´t show when this was uploaded. Oh, I am an autumn fan. Wind, fog, leafs falling. Rain. Sometimes a lot of wind.
Awesome!
🥰❤👍👍
Awesome
Great video! Combining 2D and 3D has some great benefits!
wow
Amazing!
hmm just asm
Really great work! I'm just dipping my toes into 3D tools right now and it's so helpful to see how you combine 3D and 2D workflows
Such a huge amount of work!
Thank you for sharing and making such a useful and interesting tutorial!
Well done!
Please continue, it gives inspiration to do my own project, although I'm only at the storyboard stage for now, but the final is close))
I always get an incredible, almost euforic feeling while watching your works. They are always so beautiful and charming that by just watching a single timelapse of your work process I can get inspired for a week ahead. I can't describe how inspiring and gorgeous your art is. It is absolutely uniquely glorious. Thank you for creating all of this and giving so much inspiration to all of us.
Thank you so much! So cool to hear that!!
@@OlofStorm No, thank YOU!!! You are one of the most inspiring people I've ever seen on UA-cam and I'm really grateful to you for all what you're doing for us!!
Keep up the awesome content sir
Thank you!
Would be cool to have an RV or at least a campfire to further sell the passage of time. You'd need food, water, and shelter if you're going to rock climb for days. I don't see commuting from far away to the same rock as a likely scenario anyways.
They do return day to day, so not staying most nights except for the night session. :) The RV they stay in is shown in another video I made a while back :)
@@OlofStorm Oh yeah you're right. Good job
Letttttssssss Gooooo!! Olof The Great Storm!! ^_^
Wow! That's just incredible!! 🔥

I always like your animation style~ Happy new year!
Good job.Compositing was weak.
I really love the cool, clear days in autumn and late spring. And I love the sun, I'm instantly in a brtter mood when the sun is shining :)
Very cool shots, i am really impressed by the particle system clouds, they look super realistic but still fit the art style of the film
Brilliant content, Ive subscribed. Thanks for the great videos.
Great work and great explanation! Greetings from Imst (Oberland :))
The way you used the particle system is inspiring! I always use c4d sky but I will have to give a try in composting in AE. I always struggle with fog and mist while yours felt very natural
Your works are amazingly fantastic!! What software do you use? I've been watching your videos for years and I still don't know.
I want to be an 2D animator like you but I don't know which courses to do after 12th????????
I first saw your channel when you had below 100k I thought it's a hidden gem... And after seeing the progress after some time you are growing really fast 😆 I'm so happy that more people are finding this channel... keep it up baby
Excellent work. Thanks for sharing it with us. Well done.
It looks so simple...😮haha. Love the progress vids. Thanks
Breath taking visuals man. Ty for sharing the journey!
Nice video, this is being really helpfull to make my own 2D animation. What's the process to get those clouds?
Have you try Blender? They have grease pencil supporting draw 2D in 3D environment which I think kinda fit your animation style and might shorten your production time
Really gorgeous work and great attention to detail. I'm looking forward to seeing the completed project.
Great animation! But I’ve seen some rock climbers using white powder on their hand for grip! So that would make boulder somewhat whiteish. What do you guys say?
Wow! thanx for breaking down your process it is very useful
This is so beautiful. I cannot wait to see the full project finished
'All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. '
Isaiah 53:6
repent and turn to Christ
Haha, just noticed that's Howard Harper-Barnes' music.
Dang that's amazing! So much of work is needed for a such a short scene. I often times feel that animators are underappreciated.
I just discovered your channel and i totally love what you're doing, continue like this, that's insane
Hi, I'm wondering that are the clouds and mist created in after effects or cinema 4d? Amazing work btw!
I was sooo hoping blender when your video showed up in my feed🙁 but it is very beautiful! Continue your hard work!😁
Was planning on watching the thumbnail only, but got sucked in. So amazing
could have crawled on the floor for the climbing bit
One thing. You could animate the grass blowing in the wind. But other than that ist an amazing shot! I love the creative process and the final animation is just awesome!
Hey Olof by when do you think you will release your movie? Any milestones as of yet? Nice work on this scene
daaammm this is amazingggggg
im so excited and inspired thank you so much and keep it up
What software do you use mate? Is it CSP?
clowds moving towards us was the best !
