Nice video. Viewers should be aware that standard brake cleaner is highly toxic and you should wear impermeable gloves when using it. Also, avoid breathing the fumes. I have a background in toxicology, and the chlorinated hydrocarbons in this stuff will kill your liver (i.e., liver necrosis increasing your risk of liver cancer).

Good point! Any advice on any PPE to use? I have a 99.97% rated particulate respirator, but I am not sure about using this with regard to chemicals. Better than nothing, I guess?

Thanks for the video - one note -
You used the E16 star socket but my 2016 435i ZHP with Brembo msport used a standard 18mm socket
sadly i went and bought a set of of the E Star sockets before I knew . Odd that they are different ( I’ll probably return)
Again thanks for the video- helped me get through my pads and two piece rotor install -

Great vid - I'm thinking of doing this on my F32 MSport.
    A few of questions.
    1. Please can you clarify the socket size, there were two sizes mentioned here. Also please repeat the torque measurement.
    2. What lubricant did you use for the pad - Does it need a specific product ?
    3. A general question for all viewers - Which rotors do you recommend (UK market) ? There has to be a good middle option between the dearest and cheapest.
    Thanks in advance.

So if you want to support it the correct way you would need adapters for the plastic part that you’re talking about but I’ve supported it on the area right in front of that jacking point. You could also use part of the front subframe or the back subframe to support it as well. With that said here’s a link to a video that shows you how to jack it up the correct way:

There are different versions of the rotors and pads depending on the package the car has, the rotors on mine measured 370mm across. If he has the m sport caliper painted blue like mine, then these should work.

If the pads have a a good amount of pad material on them, it's likely due to dust that can collect on the surface the pads slide on and may just need to be cleaned out.

They probably didn't grease the caliper sliding pins we also grease the back of the pads where the piston makes contact or they could've put the hardware where the pad slides on incorrectly causing it to rub against the rotor . If there is drag when your driving your caliper might be frozen
