Hi Jaime, the algorithms for all platforms are changing every single time, and not just Instagram. In order to keep up with the changes or updates, we usually check it out manually. One example would be, as the year ends, major updates or overhaul will be done by the different platforms so it pays to search it up on Google for these. We also write about it on our blog if that happens and release a new video episode here on UA-cam, so don't forget to click subscribe. Check out our blog here: www.bidpixel.com/blog/
Objective for our subscription model is to get as many Trial (first-time) customers as possible. We have a high retention rate / LTV. Could we set a fixed cost per new customer, use one 15-sec video, go away for a month fishing and let the algorithm run on its own?
Hi Oscar, an insightful question you have here. So let's dive right into it. You can not set a fixed cost to get a new customer, but rather the cost you would be willing to pay to acquire one (target cost). However, it is not a guarantee that you will get a customer at all let alone a customer at that price. Always remember that the Facebook ads platform is an auction and if you have a competitor that is also in that auction and is willing to pay more than you and has better creative, copy and engagement they will win the auction. We would test and try different audiences, copy and creatives and once you are getting results, then you can go fishing but the chances are results can change. We would never recommend a set and forget as the platform is continually changing. This actually goes out to different ad platforms as well. The rule of thumb here is to ALWAYS BE TESTING.

Nice video guys, the information will be super useful to many companies.
Thank you, Eliza! Our aim is to help small business owners and e-commerce to have positive results in their Facebook campaigns.
I understand the Instagram algorithm is always changing, is there any way to stay on top of it as it happens? How do we know?
