dear we can make that appam in gas stove too...but we have to need that mud kind of pot or we can call it as thava...we prepare that appa in our home..it really very delicious and healthy too as it is prepared through mud pot...no oil is needed.. ❤ from mangalore...

We make ottada in stove also... It will com out gud.. we used to add little cooked rice and cook in high flame so dat it comes so fluffy
That appam is called od pole in mglr... V use to prepare in gas stove comes out good n spongy... Mixture of white rice, coconut n Lil cooked rice...
