Can’t get much better than Bob Seger. My favorites are “You’ll Accompany Me”, “We’ve Got Tonight”, “Main Street”, “Turn the Page”. Well, too many to name actually lol
…”with Autumn closing in”…is the profound moment. You stopped right before and kind of lost the weight of that. You were all around it, and indeed it does get more profound as the years pile up. Peace…I love your spirit and zest for life…your reactions are great 😊
He will listen to it, over and over. And get to the jist of it. First reactions, don't know what's coming... And they have to stop, to play the whole video. Or they get taken down. I know we who knew these songs,. Cringe when they stop at crucial parts of a song we know. We are watching to see they're reactions.
The ones of us in our "Autumn" years get it. Bittersweet.
Ha. Yes, quite ironic how he was picking up on the nostalgia element -- and missing the key phrase!
Best line, ever
This song hits even harder when you’re in the autumn of your life. Ain’t it funny how the night moves, with autumn closing in……
You ain't lyin'
Amen. Hits like a bag of hammers.
You're so right! I love this man every song tells you a story
the way he moves thru the seasons...
Shon, you still are my favorite reactor to songs. The fact that you listen to all genres and can appreciate the music of the time.
I am 67 years young, and I can attest to that Drive-ins is where it was happening. We didn't have anywhere to go and be intimate without having our parents or police catch us. Those are stories for another time, lol. Keep it up!
Back in the day when 3 or 4 kids would hide in the trunk of the car and sneak into the drive-in with us. I remember some crazy parties at the drive-in theater.
@@bostonwhofan I have to say, I went to the drive in many , many times. I'm not sure if I ever saw the movie. A van full of teenagers partying is how I remember them.
Go back and listen to the beginning again.... "She was a black-haired beauty with big dark eyes
And points of her own, sittin' way up high. Way up firm and high". Night moves means exactly that
I remember listening to this driving and my son who was about 11 at the time (who's always appreciated good music) and who was hearing it for the first time says, "I do believe he's talking about her breasts." lol

bob is the king of reminiscing songs....
This Bob Seger video features Matt LeBlanc just months before he was cast as Joey Tribbiani on "Friends", as well as Daphne Zuniga, then in the middle of her run on " Melrose Place", and Johnny Galecki from "The Big Bang Theory".
I thought I recognized Matt and Johnny... and I definitely felt like I'd seen Daphne somewhere. Thanks for the confirmationn
He’s also in Bon Jovi’s video of “Miracle”. They’re riding Harleys through Mexico. Great video
I don't think I have ever seen the video before and saw Matt and Daphne but I guess I missed Johnny. I will have to go back and actually watch the video all the way through.
"Against the Wind"... you'll love it... many of us relate to the song itself because we lived it and still are living it
This was my very first concert. I was 10 and for my birthday my Dad arranged to take me. When we got there the security guard was my dad's friend's boyfriend gave us ribbons that had VIP on it he escorted us front row floors it was the best thing I ever saw. I walked around for weeks with a smile. My mom was very jealous so when he came back 2 years later we went again and it was just as rocking as the first. I recommend a live song from him he sounds just like the LPS. Old time rock and roll and turn the page are great. Great reaction. Peace out ✌️ ☮️
Bob Seger is a great rock singer, songwriter & musician known for his raspy powerful voice. "Turn The Page" is my favorite song by him. But he has so many great songs especially in the 70's-80's such as "Mainstreet", "Still The Same", "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man", "Hollywood Nights", "Against The Wind", "You'll Accomp'ny Me", "Shame On The Moon", "Roll Me Away", "Like A Rock", "Shakedown", "We've Got Tonight", "Old Time Rock & Roll" etc.
I grew up on Bob Seger. He has a deep catalog going way back to the ‘60s
Most people won't mention "Fire Lake" when they list his hits, but that one's my favourite.
Nostalgia
In Greek, nostalgia means literally, the pain from an old wound. It’s a twinge in your heart, far more powerful than memory alone. And it takes us to a place where we ache to go again.
Against the wind. Love that song.
I first saw Bob Seger when he did a concert in my High School Gym 1970, also saw him performing at a bar in college 1974, I didn't know I was in the presence of greatness! Peace 😊
Hi! I'm from Lansing 🙂 Where were the high school & bar where you saw Bob perform? Was that the Ann Arbor area?
My favorite by Bob Segar is "Still the Same". Love your reactions man... you always have good vibes on your videos!
Bob Seger... Great singer, player and writer. Always love Bob ! thanks Bob.
That's it! It's like he needs the clear his throat - funny. His song "Mainstreet" is really good.
I love how you are so passionate about finding these great songs from my generation! It's really weird when you get older you think the rest of our younger generation just knows all this good music cuz it never goes away, then its sad when you realize how it's not true the youngsters don't know any of it? 😢
I know. It seems so weird to us. Especially when I see a reactor get on and say they haven't heard of the Beatles or someone almost as big, it's like, wtf?
You're talking about the drive-in movies. We still have one in my town. They can still be found here in America. They are great!❤
Bob is an absolute legend and American treasure.
I've always liked his music but when I got into my '40s and '50s and had a kid late in life... It hits even harder
He is the consummate songwriter. One of the reasons this song is so special is when he's talking about the seasons with Autumn closing in, he's also referring to the autumn of your life.
Do more Bob!
Hollywood nights, roll me away, against the wind, but for his best for my money it's traveling man / beautiful loser live...
You are a very insightful young man! The parts of the song which I love is when he almost in pondering way says "and it was summertime" oh my goodness YES! It was summertime of our lives! More superficially summer my favorite time of year! :) also he says "when you just don't seem to have as much to lose" it encapsulates our youth... we feel invincible and in reality we had a lot to lose! but because of that feeling and attitude we felt like the risks were no big deal! (It did not seem we had as much to lose) .
Takes me back to a girl I knew in 1975. I’m 66 and I still think of that time.
I graduated from high school in 1983. Those awesome summer days seem like yesterday. But I'm 58 years old now......with autumn closing in. It goes by fast, young man.
This song always reminds me of my first love. We were together for 4 years and had a lot of fun in our teenage years. I still think about her and I'm 62. She was beautiful, fun and care free.
I've always love Bob Seger, a lot of his music has that Souther Blues Rock sound and with his voice on top of it, you just can't beat it.
There's still a few Drive In theaters around. Not more than a 30 minute ride from where I live, there's a Drive in with three screens. They show three different movies at the same time. It opens for the season tomorrow night, and it will be open until October. Entrance fee is $27 per carload.
I'm turning 44 this year, those more simple times seem so long ago. I've watched friends come and go, pass away and theres not a day that goes by I dont think of them. Keep up the great reactions, can never go wrong with Bob.
Bob is one of those singers who got a natural rasp. Really works for his soul and blues style of storytelling.
I had a 60 chevy back then and down the back roads!! Then I had a 65 Bonniville when I was in college, I had the best times of my life back then!!! Drive-Ins were the best; a lot went on in the Drive-in for sure!!!
Song hit me as a kid. I'm 69 now and I now hear the thunder rollin' in. Great lyrics straight from Motown. _one pride_
Love your reactions you always make me laugh bro! Anyways you’re right this song makes you look back at a simpler time! I’m 58 and this definitely takes me back to my teenage years and early 20’s that’s the best thing about music it can make you think of where you were and even what you were doing!
Bob Seger Greatest Hits is permanently implanted in my car's CD player.....love it!
It’s definitely autumn here. 64 years old, been battling cancer 6 years. Saw Bob & Silver Bullet Band in 1975 during the height of the “Live Bullet” craze. I still like to play that album - all 4 sides - end to end today. It is timeless, just a phenomenal set of songs and perfomrances.
Thank hou Shon. This was another great reaction.
Sending prayers your way✨🙏🏻✨God bless you & just enjoy the best music ever🥁🎸🎹🎻🎺
My dad was a member of a motorcycle club and he met Bob Seger, Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent and Mitch Rider. They used to drink together at the club. This was in the 60s and 70s. My dad used to get tickets for concerts from them. Me and my oldest sister got to see Bob Seger in concert. ❤❤❤❤❤ Mitch Rider lived in my neighborhood, a couple of blocks from my house. He came over the house a few times. And I still have drive-in a couple of miles from my house that is still open. ❤❤❤
I'm jealous! Ryder.
My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE 'SONG' !!! ❤ OF ALL TIME !!! i miss this era ... 😉
VOCALS, STORY, MELODY, ARRANGEMENT, RHYTHMS, MEANING, PROS, LYRICS... EPIC !! 😎 👍
looking back at one's youth brings sweet memories but also the wear on you that life brings with age.
I’ve heard this song maybe 10,000 times know every word, Got big AirPlay on FM radio not my favorite artist, but I have lots of respect for Bob. Somehow you Make me hear it from another perspective, I really enjoyed your reaction. Thanks Shon ✌🏼
“Working on mysteries without any clues”-that’s about newbies hooking up.
Bob Seger doesn’t have a bad song.
P.S. 7:10 Those things were called "drive-ins" and yes, they absolutely should be brought back. Some of my greatest summertime memories of great movies were at the drive-in. Saw "Enter the Dragon" at the drive-in. I was, like, 8. Got up on the roof of our station wagon with my aunt and uncles and the popcorn and a blanket. It was awesome.
Enjoyed seeing how you reacted to a rare gem of a song. We are 40 years apart in age and we have something in common!
I’ve been listening to Bob since before the Silver Bullet Band back in the days of the Bob Seger System. Always great
One of my favorite songs. As a 40 year old guy who is single now it hits home way more
Shame On The Moon, Katmandu, Main Street, Accompany Me are great Bob Seger tunes!!!
Perfect reaction to a perfect song….A+ young man. I’m 68…this was just another song on the radio when I was coming up…He did nail it, and hit the seasons of life as well, though he stopped at autumn…which I’d like to think I’m still in the autumn of my life..
Anyway nice work…brought back names and memories I hadn’t thought of in ages.
This song is amazing now matter how old you are, but man, when you get older and think back on those teenage loves it just hits SOOOOOOO hard!
So many feelings and memories about this song.Even the old iconic Sound box that was placed in the window at the drive in.Viva La 60s
Old Time Rock And Roll. PLEASE. We play this at my high school reunions. 😂😂❤
All of Bob Segar's music is awesome but my favorite song is "Roll Me Away." I crank that song every time it comes on
Seger is one of the great storytellers of music. Yeah dude, just wait until you are pushing 70 and wondering where it all went. I miss those drive-in days. When we were kids my older sister would drive with my cousin up front and us younger kids hiding in the trunk. When we got older we loved the drive-in because we could fire up a joint while watching the movie, hehe! I would like to suggest "Ramblin' Man/Beautiful Loser". I love the live version but the studio version kicks ass as well. One song kind of morphs into the next. It's really a work of art lyrically and musically. Back in the day I had every Bob Seger album. Enjoy the journey!
Bob Segar is the best! ❤ next time, do "AGAINST THE WIND"
Perfectly captured. Can’t fail to give some of us older folks the feels.
Bob Seger is great!!! Tons of awesome songs! Well worth listening to more of his stuff!
Bob Seger always brings me back.
Momma Bear and i still hit the Drive-in Movies 4 or 5 times each summer. 29 years we've been hitting the Drive-in together 😀
Living in my heart should have been a major hit of his too. My most favorite of his songs
I really loved your reaction so much it got me crying when you were talking about how simple life is in your younger days, Thanks for sharing. Been listening to Bob Seger for a long time, it was awesome to see such a pure reaction.
Many of Bob's songs can make you reflect back on your life, especially as you get older. He's one of the greatest rock storytellers of all time. For another reflective song listen to Like A Rock. You might actually recognize the chorus of that one.
Roll Me Away, Horizontal Bop, Betty Lou, The Famous Final Scene, Feel Like a Number, and about 100 more.
Bob has an incredible voice and a booming smile.Love his music.Old Time Rock N Roll is a famous movie song that gets used all the time(think Tom Cruise dancing in his boxers and a long-sleeved button down shirt and lip syncing to this).Fire Lake if you want to cruise down the road...name it and he has a song for that mood .
Takes us back to those people we learned with. Learning about what sex was so when you met the right one you knew what you were doing. Bob always told a story that the average guy can relate to.
So glad you’re reviewing Bob Seger. So much great music. You will love Roll Me Away. Thanks for this. 👏👏🥰
You gotta’ hit the Horizontal Bop! And Betty Lou’s Getting Out Tonight! Oh, young one, this is a treasure trove of great music!
He is one of my all time favorites! I can relate to soooo many of his songs; even as a female 🩷
He was my Pops favorite ❤ RIP Pops this ones for you❤
Bob really knows how to paint a picture.
You win the award for best reaction for this video. You got it all first listen.
havin the night blues down on main street
Love this song so relatable for me growing up in the 60 and 70 when times in america were so great
I love how you didn’t recognize Matt LeBlanc from Friends in the video. He told a great story about this video when he was a guest on Top Gear.
He recorded a lot of music in Muscle Shoals, Al my hometown . The documentary Muscle Shoal is so good . So much music came out of that area
You need to play "Come To Poppa"~Bob Seger Also play "Like A Rock"~Bob Segar....I just turned 55 and that song really hits home now. ✌
The Famous Final Scene is one of my favorite Bob Seger songs
Triumph…lay it on the line you must hear it!
Welcome to my high school playlist, must have listened to this entire album a thousand times front to back.
Bob Seger is an American Treasure.
Bob Seger best song love you
I just noticed that Matt Leblanc from "Friends" is in this video. He looks like a 17 year old. And the young girl is an actress....It's so cool to se that. I was like, wait, rewind..Anyways, Bob Seger is one of my favorites. Have so many memories partying with friends with this song blasting in the backyard while we are putting down a keg of beer! Thanks for this. It made me feel good!
The dark haired actress is Daphne Zuniga. She's been in tons of stuff. Matt Leblanc was also in Jon Bon Jovi's video for the song "Miracle" in 1990 and Alanis Morissette's video "Walk Away" in 1991.
Seger is a Michigan legend.
Listen to "Like A Rock" by Bob Seger. It is all about being young, and getting older, and where does the time go. Specifically what you were talking about during this song. You won't be disappointed. Love your reactions Shon.
There's a drive-in not 15 miles from my house. Another down the road another 45. But that's it. In the winter, they either close or become flea markets. But most have been wiped out by urban sprawl.
This cassette tape in an auto reversing aftermarket car stereo doing exactly what he's talking about. Understanding fully what the end of the song means now.
You have a very high level of listening awareness, and a finely tuned 'ear' for lyrics, tone and vibe.
Hey #Shon! I was 12 when this came out, and I hated it. Little did I know I was just too young for it. Once I got grown, it became a treasured gem. So great to see you find what I should have found in 1977. Bob Seger rules. Sixty years and counting. Great stuff, dude!
I'm so old I had a High School friend who lost his virginity at a Drive-In movie. Jeff Smith was his name. I ran with a solid crowd, incredible people. Jeff was the only one among my group of friends who was still a virgin. So one of the females in our group of friends gave Jeff a "Sympathy F_k." He was 17 or 18 years old at the time. It all went down inside a car at the local Drive-In. :-)
one of my favs from back in the day.
Next, please do - Like a Rock,
Against the wind, and Hollywood Nights.
We have a Drive In movie theater in Memphis TN. And just like this video when we were teens we would pack as many of us as we could in the car and go to the movies. Or just 2 people. But it is still a great way to watch a movie.
I'm in upstate NY, and there are 2 Drive-Ins within 20 mins of me. Love them.
Ahh those were the good ole days. I was a participant of those night moves. lol Loved the drive-In-movies.
Love me some Bob Seger❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You really should check out his song Roll Me Away next. You will absolutely love it. Bob Seger should be his own genre.
I love your reactions. I’m impressed with how you truly listen and understand what you hear. It’s refreshing, keep it up 🎼❤️🎼
This is top tier Bob Seger.
Great reaction per usual. Check out Hollywood Nights next. Another song that evokes emotions and memories.
Luv Bob seger.. bunch of great tunes. Favorite is come to poppa. Drive ins still exist
You have the most interesting and intelligent "reactions" of any that I have seen... and I enjoy revisiting the songs I know so well... that you make fresh and fun. Carry on my good man - best t'ya mate!
Story-telling, this and other songs of his could become like movie story-lines and his delivery... the guitar and outro... the music on headphones or really good speakers...
Love my Detroit man! Thanks for sharing your reaction today! You’ll love “Old Time Rock and Roll “
