I mentioned the Seiko SDEB37 "Turtle" my mother gave me 30 years ago in another UA-camr's video. I do not think he believed me when I mentioned how battered and bruised its being. Numerous car and motorcycle accidents, various scuba dives which took it beyond its recommended limits and some hard knocks. Then to top it off a house fire in which the hardwood box I had it in gave its life to protect it. And it still works perfectly without ever being serviced. Of course I have gone through countless straps. I concede it does not have luxury status and looks, but anyone who says Seiko do not make a good watch are buffoons. Walking past the Omega store in Wangfujing St, Beijing my wife at the time asked if I would like a "good" watch. Somewhat offended I bashed the face of my little turtle into the stainless steel Omega store signage in an attempt to display why I wear this watch. I did not expect it to bellow out like a steel drum and have the entire street turn around and look at me, including the horrified Omega store staff. What else could I do but put my nose in the air and carry on walking, they just got Seikoed.
My son now wears my granddads Seiko which had been sitting in a drawer since his death in 1985.All I know is it is a quartz (42702 possibly 3 as the last digit) but can't find any info.Anyhow,I offered to buy my son a decent watch for his 21st last year and he wasn't interested, loves his vintage Seiko and wears it in honour of his great grand parent he didn't get a chance to meet!.
I want to share an anecdote about the Seiko skx007, 2 weeks ago, i took the metro to town and i was wearing my new skx007 that time, with me on the train was a cute young couple and i caught the young man staring at my watch, may be admiring or what, fast forward today i took the metro to town wearing my new Seiko flightmaster and guess whose on the train?, the same cute couple and this time the young man is wearing a Seiko skx007, ha ha coincidence or what?
What's good about the skx? Just bought the Seiko Presage SSA309 limited edition. But I'm looking for a dive watch aswell, is it worth getting the SKX or the Seiko neomonster?
I know I’m two years late but there’s also the word 成功 which translates to Success. I know some friends of mine here who bought Seiko watches when they got their first jobs as a sign of “success” :3
Dear TGV, as a new subscriber, I would like to thank you for the greatest watch related channel on YT. I must say to you, Sir, that I consider you to be a true gentleman (like your relative you referred to in couple of episodes), true connoisseur and extremely down to earth guy. I come from a country (Serbia) where status symbol is Rolex (everybody think that Rolex is the best watch maker), and there are so few knowledgeable people, that I had many arguments about the fact that Rolex is just one of the better, and definitely not the best. And regarding Seiko, I don't even want to talk about it, as the people here tend to wince at the brand, without actually knowing anything about it. All I can say is that I own two of them and, as you said many times, they represent precious part of the collection, regardless of their monetary value. Seiko watches are a true beauty! Anyway, I wish you the greatest of luck, and to keep running this excellent channel for years to come!
Citizen is truly under-appreciated by the watch-collecting community. I own 14 Seikos so I'm also a Seiko fan, but I suspect there's more than a bit of groupthink going on in any community.
Really a great video today, TGV. Very cool to feature Seiko and give some more history behind the brand. They really are an astonishing company and I personally am of the opinion that no other brand has the breadth and depth of horological "core competencies", as we say in the tech biz, that Seiko has. Lastly, I always always love to see videos with Ernest; what a wonderful dog and loving companion he is. His beautiful heart and soul just shine through. Best, Stephen
I ordered my Seiko SK7 after watching your reviews and it's just arrived. I love it. I've ordered a couple of different coloured NATO straps to. Thanks, found your channel last week and really enjoying it.
With cars I'm a Ford guy, with tools I'm a Craftsman guy, and with cameras I'm definitely a Pentax guy, but when it comes to watches, I'll always be a Seiko guy. It doesn't hurt that Seiko made many of the precision shutters for Large and Medium format cameras, and 35mm cameras as well. In particular, my very first 35mm camera, the Pentax ME Super :)
And why exactly do androids suck? At least the pixel isn't a 350 dollar phone sold for 1000 dollars. Nothing about android sucks. Also, toyota hasn't really made a fun car in a while. Corvette all the way.
Totally agree TGV. I have loved Seiko watches ever since I was a little kid. I remember seeing one of my uncles friends who came to stay with us in the early eighties wearing a Seiko diver with a Pepsi bezel when I was around 7 or 8 years old. I kept asking him about it to the point I was probably annoying him and ever since then, I have loved the brand- especially the divers. Currently I have an SKX007, a Turtle, a Monster a Sumo and a MM300. I love them all and I hope one day to pass my MM300 SBDX001 on to my son. I have a couple of Swiss pieces but I can honestly say I love my Seikos more. There is something special about them to me- they are kind of the ''every mans'' watch. They are the brand that makes owning a beautiful watch that you can be proud of possible for anyone, regardless of their socioeconomic status. Great video. Really loved it mate.
Beside the point but I love your musical selections. The Seikos that have caught my attention is Alpinist, titanium Samurai and of course the Grand Seikos are great
Just recently I got back into watches after watching this channel after I realized that affordable automatic seikos could be had for not much money. My first watch was a swatch back in 1992 if I remember correctly and after I smashed it slam dunking off a trampoline I haven't had a watch since. Recently I picked up a SRP663j and a few other Seiko 5's for gifts for friends and they all cant comprehend how something that nice can still be affordable. Now I'm looking at the SNA411 and I can already tell this is the beginning of another collection. Thanks for reigniting my love for all things mechanical. Keep on keeping on!
As a 16-year-old, your channel really brought out my appreciation for watches. Seiko is a wonderful brand and I just recently went out and bought myself one of my own. (#SNKN70 - This is my first automatic watch) I am so glad I found your channel because I really do love tuning in, never stop making videos. ;)
That's the best brand for someone your age. It shows taste in watches without being too expensive or at least it doesn't scream expensive. When I finished high school (québec high school "secondaire") I was about 16 and my mom got me a nice Tag Heuer diver watch. I'm 34 now and I still have that watch now, I really love it. Having said that, for the time between 16 and 20-22 ish, people who don't even know about watches noticed that I was wearing an expensive watch. I also had a more expensive watch than most people who "had more status than me". Like interviewing for a job as a cashier at a plant nursery, the boss is a watch enthusiast with a couple of sub 1000$ automatic watches and this youngster shows up with a Tag. He notices it, "Is that a real one?", "Yes, my mom gave it to me". I always felt I had to add that last part as a justification until I was older. Now I say it with pride "Yes, my mom gave it to me 18 years ago" which is what she intended at the time. If I had known more about watches, I would have probably gotten a seiko for the same amount of money but would have been more subtle.
Hitting the company store in New Jersey tomorrow. Pray for me. Every time I go, my pockets come out lighter. They make beautiful watches at every price point. I've yet to meet one person who couldn't find a Seiko they would like.
I got a Seiko chronograph from my mom for my high school graduation present, so I could make it to class on time in college. It was an amazing watch to me. I didn't have much growing up, so when I got this thing I was on top of the world and I never took it off. I was so proud of it. Even now with my nascent collection, I still wear my Seiko at least once or twice a week. I have had this thing for 16 years and its still ticking. I'm glad to hear your appreciation for them. Maybe its time for a second one.
You just cannot knock Seiko!! One of the most consistent & Reliable watch companies! Quality Video TGV!! Whoever dismisses Seiko, are missing out big Time!! BMJ ENGLAND
I love how Seiko competes in nearly every price segment, ranging from your 50-bucks-Seiko 5 via Grand Seiko to haute horlogerie (under the Credor banner) and thereby outclasses most oft its competitors. That's what really makes this brand unique.
Hello, I just got my Seiko SNK795. I've chosen Seiko after watching your videos, your enthusiasm about the brand and the in-depth reviews were decisive factors in my choice. I am a college student working part-time and I can't afford watches above $200 for the time being, this Seiko marks a special moment in my life, it felt so good wearing it today, it gives me confidence to keep moving forward. I've changed the original strap for a Barton Gingerbread, giving a more military look, it looks great. Thank you sir.
Great job on this channel, TGV! Thanks to you, I got my first watch several days ago and it is Seiko SNE359P2S. Solar quartz fills my need for no-maintenance piece. Day/date nails my little point about only having the functions that I am going to use. 42 mm case is perfect size for my wrist. And the design just SCREAMS "I will never go out of fashion" and works superb with anything from neutral to black tie on dressiness scale of outfits.. I am still stunned how much more fun they are compared to DW/MVMT/you_name_it and how many more interesting things are out there for me to discover thanks to this piece! And my wife is stunned by the amount of straps I said I was going to buy....
I purchased my first seiko, a Solar diver with the blue 15 min bezel. Swapped out the band for a thick back leather with white outer stitching and it looks absolutely superb. highly recommend it.
My first proper watch as a teen was a Seiko Kinetic gold plated two-tone white dial on a jubilee style bracelet. I really enjoyed it. I'd like to see the Grand Seiko in person.
A little off subject but want to say I just got a Sinn 104 today to go along with my Seiko skx. It's your reviews and enthusiasm which sold me on these watches. I'm extremely happy with them. Keep up the great work.
my father owns a seiko 5 which has been ticking for almost 30 years now and thats the cause of my obsession with seiko. thanks to your reviews I'm gonna buy an skx ;)
Just home in Saigon after a watch shopping trip to Singapore. Wife bought an Alpinist and I bought a Monster on steel. Seiko is a remarkable value, as is their sister company, Orient. {also grabbed a Steinhart Ocean Bronze}. The Alpinist is absolutely beautiful in person. No photo does it justice. The Monster is just absolutely a fun piece.
I enjoyed the video. Seiko is my absolute favorite brand and I've owned or own Rolexes, Omegas and Tudors. My favorites are the Skx009, Alpinist017 and Tuna.
There really is a Seiko for everyone. I've lost count for all the watches i've owned through the years. Byt there's always a Seiko in my collection. Right now, I have several. MM300, SARX013, Padi Turtle, Stargate, SKX009 and a SNN031. I really love them all ☺ Oh and also, your channel is the best! Keep up the good work! 👍
Love my Seiko SARB035 that I bought after seeing it on your channel. Just bought my Dad a SARB033 as a thank you gift. Cant wait to give it to him. Thank you TGV for the great reviews and other videos. Love the channel.
Terrific video, really enjoyed it....I have been enjoying my Seiko Aviator chrono SND255P1 for more than 15 years. It still works perfectly and looks great...Also have a 40 year old Seiko 5 automatic still going strong.
My first Seiko was the UC-2000 also known as the computer watch which my mother bought me while she stopped over in Singapore back in the mid-80s, I had it for several years until I lost it when the caravan caught on fire in the early-90s, it was a really cool watch that felt so futuristic at the time.
Hey, was just going through this video, because I wanted to buy a Seiko Mini Turtle and give it my Dad for his 85th birthday, but lo and behold: it's quite delightful to know your a fan of Lonewolf & Cub! Truly a Japanese fan. I collected all volumes of that manga.
I have an SNK809, on a Speidel twist-o-flex, with a custom brushed finish applied by my local jeweller, and I LOVE IT. It suits any occasion and is only ~4 sec a day fast!! I also own 2 Seikos I picked up used that are about 15 years old, and one from the late 60s or early 70s, with the really domed crystal (might be acrylic) and the really high dial markers. It looks a lot like a Bell-matic.
Great video, Seiko doesn't get enough love from the "non-Watch collector" public in America. But as we all know, they are a tremendous company. With a soul and approach to watch making that should be given more attention. Don't scale down your collection. Keep the seikos. You have a nice "sub-collection" of seiko watches inside your greater overall collection. Stay with it!
I fell in love with the turtle. When the re issue came out I just had to get it. Found one in Sydney, It was perfect no chapter ring issues. Its a great daily beater and so comfortable and keeps time, perfect watch.
I love Seiko as well. The SKX was my second watch that I bought some months ago thanks of you. Right now I'm considering other models to add, but again, due to the huge variety of watches they make it's also difficult to find the perfect for yourself. Definitely buying Seikos again, they also represents one of the few watch brands that kept reasonable prices for their watches. Excellent video, TGV. Thank you very much. Best regards, Michele.
I couldn't agree more about the 38 mm SKX013. I have found that it's become my go to watch if I want a watch to be there on my wrist, but at the same time, barely able to tell you have a watch on. It's smaller size is perfect for smaller wrists. Love it on a Nato.
Thanks to your video’s I’ve just ordered my first Seiko SKX009, I have owned 2 G-Shocks which I love wearing at work due to their ruggedness. I think this is the beginning of a new hobby. Not sure what I’ll do with my fashion watches... probably give them away.
Wait, there is a Metal Gear Solid Seiko? Damn the price went from 375 to over 1,300 USD in just under a year. I'm a big Metal Gear Solid fan and would have bought this instantly at it's original price if I knew about it.
Seiko's make up 80% of my collection thanks to TGV hahaha. I have to admit though TGV Japan's watch culture is incredible (I went to Japan last year for 3 weeks), they are almost everywhere. Every street corner there is at least one watch ad it is just insane hahaha. Another very cool and interesting video TGV, loved it.
Now i am saving up my money to get SARB033. I fell in love with that watch, it's so simple and elegant. I'm really into dress watches but they all are very expensive. I thought about James McCabe, but I feel that quality of Seiko is much higher. I adore Alpinist Seiko as well.
What a great intro! I had Fellini and De Sica flashback! Well done! Seiko... What a brand! Versatile, historic, horological icon and often our first watch. Impressive quality even on lower cost time pieces. You did very nice retrospective of this brand from your unique point of view and I enjoyed this video very much. Thank you Tristano.
Ok, the gloves, I want a pair now. Tristano has said they help with the camera focus. And the focus is indeed good. But what provokes envy is that he that can fondle his watches and it only polishes them further. When I do they same, mine are all over smudges. The simultaneous caressing and cleaning - so satisfying. Oh yeah , Seiko is awesome. How can you pick a favorite. I'm currently lusting after the Alpinist. Endless cool watches from the brand.
I tried a few Grand Seiko on at my local AD and man are they stunning looking and feel incredible. Definitely wanting a Grand Seiko hi beat down the road.
my is a Sports 5 world timer edition, crown on 3 o'clock, i put a water buffalo leather strap on it and yes, it was the one that brought me into it ....had watches before, but this one made me addicted to timepieces... now the years gone by and i still love it....:-) .... btw. love your channel ..... i am really into to it.... thx a lot
Finally, took that first leap. No more fashion watches for me. Just bought my first true watch. A seiko snkm97 green dial automatic. Looks a little vintage. I love it. Next future watch I got an eye on is the Orient Bambino generation 2. But, that for next time. Thanks, I learned a lot about watches. Thanks
Early in the video you were talking about possibly getting like a Citizen Skyhawk. It's my go to everyday wear. So much utility for the purchase price and it always garners a lot of attention. My favorite feature of Citizen's Skyhawks, other than the Eco-drive, is the fact they automatically sync off of atomic clock radio broadcasts. Anyways, quality video. Cheers!
I think its great that you praise and do credit to Seiko. Everyone is just Rolex, Patek, AP (with respect) and look down on cheap watches. I think that brands making great watches for a low price deserve a lot of respect. I have a collection of watches and a collection of Seikos. Keep on like this.
Thank you Dusan, very kind. I simply cant forget about Seiko, it got me into wrist watches and I hope it happens for me people. Will always carry on the cause ;-) Best regards, TGV
Yours is the only watch channel I subscribe to. The production values are superb and you have such a winning demeanor and positive attitude that it’s just fun to watch :-) and learn. Thanks for all your obviously hard work.
The SKX has so much value for so many reasons. One of them is one you indirectly said in the video. If something visual breaks, (huge ding in the bezel, big scratch in the glass, click ring breaks, etc.) Because of the modding community you can easily find parts to replace it yourself and they aren't very expensive. Plus the modding is insane, I have seen someone who make their SKX into a Milgauss look alike. I love the SKX and I have you to thank for me knowing about it, great video TGV!
What a fantastic video. I have a SKX007, an Alpinist and a vintage 7006 in my collection. and I wear them probably more than any other watch brand. Thank you for the video TGV and take care.
My favourite brand. I have an SKX007, an SNZG15, SNDA57 and an SNE245. I just got rid of a Sea Urchin, not sure why, but I guess I just had to get the SKX, Robert Redford's fault I think! Like you have said, it's their variety, their history and the sheer value for money/ quality ratio. I'm casting my eye a wee bit at Sinn though, just recently, but I mustn't, because that could turn costly. Keep up the good work TGV, you're a star!
My first watch I bought as a burgeoning enthusiast 15 years ago was that same SKX, it survived scuba diving in Panama and a 5000m mountain in Ecuador, all in the same year until I inadvertently destroyed the movement. I think of it as my first love that transformed me into a true connoisseur.
I've had a really tough choice between SKX007 and Orient Ray II FAA02004B9 and I've decided to go with the Ray II, waiting for it to ship at the moment. It's gonna be my first automatic watch and a second timepiece in my life (and I'm 28, feeling like I'm a bit late to the party?). I felt it's slightly more refined and smooth in looks, but I'm gonna get the Pepsi SKX in the future I'm sure. Thanks TGV for spreading the love for watches, their history and your passion. As a newcomer to the topic I can put you and your videos as one of the reasons I've decided to get my first proper wristwatch. Thank you, Sir.
Just recently i was deciding on buying a cheap good looking watch for around 100 dollars. After watching a few videos youve convinced me to buying a much better watch. I got a citizen at4008 for 400 dollars off retail. My next watch will be the seiko skx007. Thanks and great video!
I love Seiko, but I would love to see you do a video or two on HMT watches from India. They are dirt cheap, but have many styles and colors, and the company has a charming history!
Seiko is one of my favorite brands. Recently picked up the turtle Padi. Can't take it off my wrist. I also have a grand seiko high beat 9S85 movement. It's the most accurate watch to date! Looks awesome and most people have no idea what it is.
Hi TGV, Thank you for the video.. i do agree with what you said about every collection has a seiko! when friends take my advise for a new watch i recommend seiko depending on what budget limit has been put, and always there is a seiko that just presses all the buttons! my favorite in your seiko collection is the black flightmaster SNA411 (sorry for the beloved SKX which i happen to be wearing now while watching your video) as i have recently acquired an SNA413 for the summer and i do enjoy it. my own favorite in MY seiko collection is the SRP307 black monster G2... it puts a smile on my face everytime i look at its solid big white hands on the clean black dial (i have the old version G2 without X printed on the dial, which i hope seiko remove and return back to the divers' clean dials) Sorry for my long comment and wish you all the best!
I bought the SKX013 because I kept re watching your reviews on them. I'm now slowly working my way to getting a Tudor BB 36. Cheers for the amazing videos TGV!
A fantastic brand to put together an affordable collection of vintage watches from the 60s and 70s . I particularly like the King Seikos from that era .
I was with a friend at a flea market last month and he found a nice old mechanical Seiko dive watch for $25 that has 300m and professional on the dial, the next time we went I bought a cool Seiko quartz chronograph that has a small dial with a hand that rotates once a second, super accurate!
Hi, I ordered my first Seiko this weekend. It's the SKX009 and the first time I saw it was when you did a review of it some time back. Thanks for the tip and the great videos
Thanks to you, I got the Seiko Titanium SGG731P1 with anthracite dial. I will give it to my father, but if he doesn't like it (which I doubt will happen), I will happily keep it :)
I own a Seiko 7005 from November 1970. It was given to SOG Soldiers in the Vietnam War. I absolutely love it, the case is beautiful and has scratches and dinks. good vid (:
thanks to your videos i bought my first nato strap for my seiko....nylon black ...made by fossil.....im in india and its relatively rare to come across nato straps at the mall or in online sites.......i currently have seiko snkn15k1........love it on the black nato......just awesome.......keep up the good work man....tc...ciao..
Loving your vids. Keep up the great work. I have owned a Seiko SNE095P2 solar watch for the last couple of years and can say point blank that it is bullet proof, and takes a lot of hard use. I have now decided to start a little Seiko 'family' and have recently purchased a SNZF15 Pepsi Sea Urchin, from the Seiko 5 range. I absolutely love it, even the strap that many hate. So I will continue to watch your vids, even after I get my Grand Seiko Snowflake, which won't be for a long time yet. Thanks for all your advice and pointers.John
I have : SKX 173 - black /red/olive nato SRPA21 - mesh SBDA 027 - titanium 7s26, 4r36, 6r15...movements respectively. (I love having different movements in each one). Those are all divers, but to me each has a role. Skx is my fun / beater. The Padi is for weekend or travel. The Shogun is for professional setting. And I will get a seiko dress watch. I'll get an SARB 65... Or maybe a Grand Seiko. Seiko makes up a nice chunk of my collection. I love them. And with you I'm a fan Japanese culture. I have half sleeve / chest piece of a traditional japanese dragon.
my fav is the Seiko Marine Master Spring Drive SBDB013 but i agree the Grand Seikos are very nice too.. at 1st i wanted a Premier Kinetic Perpetual snp025p1 but i felt in love with the baby tuna.. even if i know it's not the same kind of watches (at all lol) ..keep doing your thang, Seiko love ! Peace
Just wanted to say thank you for your videos. You helped convince me to get my first Skx. You also opened my eyes to the world off NATO straps which i love. Thank you hopefully will be enjoying the Facebook club soon. Keep up the great work.
Ike Jones ,They just got seikoed! I love it! thanks😁
That was when you knew... she wasn't the one.

👍
REN 1425 he saw you and he knew bro
Lmao whata experience man
Real recognize real.
I got my first Seiko thanks to you. I bought the SKX with the Pepsi Bezzle. Thanks again for the great videos.
Same here. Because of this guy i got an amazing watch. I'm loving it!
Ditto. I got the SKX009. Great watch
BhBraaq yup same here haha
What's good about the skx? Just bought the Seiko Presage SSA309 limited edition. But I'm looking for a dive watch aswell, is it worth getting the SKX or the Seiko neomonster?
Personally, I think the SKX009 diver with the Pepsi bezel has it all. I wear it on a USM nato or a vintage leather nato.
There's a seiko for everyone. That's what I like about them.
I couldn't agree more.
Indeed! I don't think you can say that for any other brand, maybe I am wrong, but I am firmly certain of it.
Thank you
Best regards,
TGV
The Seiko 5 black dial is still popular!
I picked up an SKX after watching your videos.... absolutely love it!
So glad to hear! Enjoy :D
Thank you
Best regards,
TGV

I'm really not understanding why anyone would thumbs down these videos.. Some of the classiest and fairest videos on UA-cam...
Beside the point but I love your musical selections. The Seikos that have caught my attention is Alpinist, titanium Samurai and of course the Grand Seikos are great
Grand Seiko Reference SBGA011... mmm, snowflakes.
Nice, enjoy! Good point, I cant think of anyone either! Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
BMJ ENGLAND
VERY true. Thank you Benjamin.
Best regards,
TGV
Just bought my first Seiko, went for a SARB033. Love the brand with so much understated history, and the watch is incredible
I purchased my first seiko, a Solar diver with the blue 15 min bezel. Swapped out the band for a thick back leather with white outer stitching and it looks absolutely superb. highly recommend it.
My first divers watch will be a Seiko. I really like the look of Seikos.
They're probably as good as Swiss watches without the ridiculous price tag !
My top ten favorite watch brands is:
Seiko
Omega
Patek philippe
Vacheron constantin
Grand Seiko
Rolex
Tudor
Tag Heuer
Breitling
Jaeger Le coultre
I love the ripley! What a finding. Best yet, Ernesto! He is a total keeper 🐾
Congrats!!! Such a great duo, what more does one really need!!!!!!
Thank you Ronald for the kind words.
Best regards,
TG
I've had a Seiko digital watch when i was little, my mom got it for me for Christmas
my father owns a seiko 5 which has been ticking for almost 30 years now and thats the cause of my obsession
with seiko. thanks to your reviews I'm gonna buy an skx ;)
Nice!!!! You can never go wrong with those, classics all of them!! Enjoy
Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
One of my first watches was a Seiko the great blue. Had it for about 15 years and still have it and love it.
Ordered my first Seiko 5 yesterday from Amazon. I have you to thank for turning me on to them. I'll soon be the proud owner of an SNK795.
There really is a Seiko for everyone. I've lost count for all the watches i've owned through the years. Byt there's always a Seiko in my collection. Right now, I have several. MM300, SARX013, Padi Turtle, Stargate, SKX009 and a SNN031.
I really love them all ☺
Oh and also, your channel is the best! Keep up the good work! 👍
Love my Seiko SARB035 that I bought after seeing it on your channel. Just bought my Dad a SARB033 as a thank you gift. Cant wait to give it to him. Thank you TGV for the great reviews and other videos. Love the channel.
So glad to hear, such a classy piece, makes for such a great gift, nice one Scott.
Thank you
Best regards,
TGV
The Seiko that my father used, a Seiko 5, is my first automatic watch. I found it after 35 years and restored it.
I have 2 vintage seikos 1978 ish divers ,bullet proof autos, real tough, great movements ,they seem unbreakable, cannot fault em!
Best regards,
Michele.
Just added another Seiko to my list of Seiko automatics. I just bought a SRPB96 from Amazon. I like it!
One of your best videos yet. Always a treat to see you out & about with your favourite friend.
Good health.
Thank you Stephen :D
Best regards,
TGV
I couldn't agree more about the 38 mm SKX013. I have found that it's become my go to watch if I want a watch to be there on my wrist, but at the same time, barely able to tell you have a watch on. It's smaller size is perfect for smaller wrists. Love it on a Nato.
Thanks to your video’s I’ve just ordered my first Seiko SKX009, I have owned 2 G-Shocks which I love wearing at work due to their ruggedness. I think this is the beginning of a new hobby. Not sure what I’ll do with my fashion watches... probably give them away.
just purchased a
Seiko 5 SNK615 Men's Stainless Steel Blue Dial Day Date Automatic Watch
after seeing your reviews of seikos
LOL Sounds like heaven, I cant wait to go, one!!!!
Thank you Ben, enjoy the Seikos!!
Best regards,
TGV
Ha, very flattered to be compared to the masters but no where near I fear. So glad you liked it, Thank you Mike.
Best regards,
TGV
Cheers!
I just bought my first Seiko around a week ago. It was released this year, the SRPC11K. I'm very happy with my purchase.
Will always carry on the cause ;-)
Best regards,
TGV
Just bought a Seiko 5 Sports Suits with a black sunburst dial and a Milanese strap and I enjoy the retro look 😎
Thank you sir, excellent comment.
Best regards,
TGV
Maybe do a similar video for Orient, I feel they really trade blows with the lower and mid tier seikos.
Great idea! Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
What a fantastic video. I have a SKX007, an Alpinist and a vintage 7006 in my collection. and I wear them probably more than any other watch brand. Thank you for the video TGV and take care.
Thank you Arthur, very kind.
What a cool trio to have in any collection!!! Just love them.
Best regards,
TGV
I watch quite few video from you. I finally decided to buy Seiko Flightmaster. Thanks to you.
I love my SARB 033. Your vids helped me to select this excellent watch which I was able to acquire from Japan for a very reasonable price.
I recently picked up an SRP779 and I couldn't be happier.
Why a cool story, despite the sad ending, it served with distinction and honour! Thank you John for sharing that, top comment.
Best regards,
TGV
seiko unbelievable time pieces the quality you get for your money is like none other
i retired my swiss timepieces great video keep it up
I've had a really tough choice between SKX007 and Orient Ray II FAA02004B9 and I've decided to go with the Ray II, waiting for it to ship at the moment.
I was fortunate enough to get an SRP775 and could not be happier. It's become my favorite.
Hi TGV, Thank you for the video.. i do agree with what you said about every collection has a seiko! when friends take my advise for a new watch i recommend seiko depending on what budget limit has been put, and always there is a seiko that just presses all the buttons!
my favorite in your seiko collection is the black flightmaster SNA411 (sorry for the beloved SKX which i happen to be wearing now while watching your video) as i have recently acquired an SNA413 for the summer and i do enjoy it. my own favorite in MY seiko collection is the SRP307 black monster G2... it puts a smile on my face everytime i look at its solid big white hands on the clean black dial (i have the old version G2 without X printed on the dial, which i hope seiko remove and return back to the divers' clean dials)
Sorry for my long comment and wish you all the best!
I own SKX009, SXK781 and SRP307. I have a lot of other watches, but Seiko's are on my wrist 99% of the time :) Planning to get a SARB :)
I just received my Sarb033 a few days ago :-). Couldn't be happier with it. It met or exceeded all my expectations. it's a thing of beauty!
I bought the SKX013 because I kept re watching your reviews on them.
I'm now slowly working my way to getting a Tudor BB 36.
Cheers for the amazing videos TGV!
I just pruchased a Seiko Coutura Perpetual Solar watch. I want to know your honest opinion about this watch.
Everyone should have a Seiko...or a few lol...looking for a Ripley sweet...
Thank you you friend, I could not agree more
Best regards,
TGV
A fantastic brand to put together an affordable collection of vintage watches from the 60s and 70s . I particularly like the King Seikos from that era .
Absolutely.
Thank you :D
Best regards,
TG
I wish I could like this one about 100 times. Great vid Gov!
Thank you sir, very kind :D
Best regards,
TG
I was with a friend at a flea market last month and he found a nice old mechanical Seiko dive watch for $25 that has 300m and professional on the dial, the next time we went I bought a cool Seiko quartz chronograph that has a small dial with a hand that rotates once a second, super accurate!
Hi, I ordered my first Seiko this weekend. It's the SKX009 and the first time I saw it was when you did a review of it some time back.
Thanks for the tip and the great videos
My first Seiko: Sarb065 cocktail time. Fantastic piece
Patrick Dionne Mine too. Bought it today. Really excited
I recently received a Sarb065. Never had a watch more than a hundred $ so 👍 I like it. I switched the strap to a navy perlon and love it.
I absolutely love it, the case is beautiful and has scratches and dinks. good vid (:
Very cool indeed. Thank you Edward, enjoy the 7005
Best regards,
TGV
thanks to your videos i bought my first nato strap for my seiko....nylon black ...made by fossil.....im in india and its relatively rare to come across nato straps at the mall or in online sites.......i currently have seiko snkn15k1........love it on the black nato......just awesome.......keep up the good work man....tc...ciao..
Your collection set is awesome. Great ! I have only one, SKX007 right now...I wish can follow you collecting other Seiko watches.
Thank you Eddy! I am sure in time you will have more, so many great ones to collect.
Best regards,
TGV
I only have one nice watch, the prospex monster. Your review, TGV, is the reason that I got it. Thanks again for the great content!
Just ordered my first skx007 thanks to you
Huzzah! Congrats, welcome to the SKX-ers!
I hope it brings you much enjoyment.
Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
Loving your vids. Keep up the great work. I have owned a Seiko SNE095P2 solar watch for the last couple of years and can say point blank that it is bullet proof, and takes a lot of hard use. I have now decided to start a little Seiko 'family' and have recently purchased a SNZF15 Pepsi Sea Urchin, from the Seiko 5 range. I absolutely love it, even the strap that many hate. So I will continue to watch your vids, even after I get my Grand Seiko Snowflake, which won't be for a long time yet. Thanks for all your advice and pointers.John
I just ordered my SARB035 and I can't wait!
Congrats, you will love it!!! Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
I have :
SKX 173 - black /red/olive nato
SRPA21 - mesh
SBDA 027 - titanium
7s26, 4r36, 6r15...movements respectively.
