there are a few things you can do to make it so that you don't get those stops when you restart.. *Really great advice from user Dragon-00*
-If u wana get rid of those errors on the motherboard go back to the old dell case and reconnect the front io to the the motherboard and cut the cord about half way and that error will go away it’s really simple and don’t stress over cutting something and for the thermal on it’s a small odd shaped black piece also with the original case it easy to get it should be near the speaker just plug that in also simple no cutting or anything just plug it in the motherboard and for the power button order some jumpers. 2 pin jumpers u can get 100 of them for 3$ and just put them on the remaining pins next the the power button and then bye bye errors

You can install front panel header inside the case so you do not get the error. Also you can keep the dell switch inside the case, splice the front led and power switch wires to the dell wires and you will not get those errors.

20:56 if you still own this pc you messed up big time. You put the ram in the two slots next to each other, not using dual channel and breaking you motherboard. Your going to want to put each stick in the tan dimm slots only to allow dual channel. Dual channel can give you a 30 percent performance boost and I've personally seen 20 fps extra when using dual channel.

Some of the steps seen here was good reason I didn't bother doing these types of case swaps (proprietary components).
I love the idea that this basically is recycling an older system that's still perfect for use and plenty workstation potential. I tried doing same thing here with an HP motherboard and could not use audio and front USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports which was a deal breaker for me. I want to make sure it ALL functions. The work around is purchasing a USB hub to expand port count from the board to get back what can't be used in the front, and the ability to add a beefy GPU for budget gaming!
I did the opposite and recently bought an optiplex. I swapped out the hardrive for an SSD, and bought an LP graphics card to fit in case. Love these little optiplex machines!

There’s a front header kit you can buy on ebay to convert the front audio and power button to the standard pc connections and this way you wont get any errors upon bootup. The front usb can still be used but you have to buy a USB 3.0 expansion can that can be bought on ebay fir cheap and will give you additional USB 3.0 plugs and the card on the inside has the usb 3.0 connection for the front cable USB 3.0 port. This there is a “dell 3 pin to standard 5 pin” converter cable you you can use any standard PC cooling fan. I know because i have bought them and build a great Dell 7020 i5-4790 that was case swapped with rgb lighting. And added a GTX 1050ti and it Turned out great!

You can create your own front I/O adapters. Purchase 2.0mm pitch to 2.54mm pitch dupont wires and look up the pin outs of the front headers on google. I bought the HiLetgo 200pcs/5x40pcs Breadboard Jumper Wires Dupont Wire kit on amazon for 7 bucks and I was able to adapt two Dell Precision T1650 into gaming cases.

When i did my optiplex conversion i cut the power button cable from the optiplex case and did my power button by stripping the cables joining together rather than modifying the mother board. Same result.

Before I bought my Optiplex I didn't realize that these systems were great for budget gaming.

    Video is good.
    My problem with some things.
You should first loosen the board screws and then take the board out, after which it is easier to take down the cooler and the memory.
    And then reassemble outside.
The memories are not in dual channel mode.
    Too much thermal paste.
And the fan below makes no sense, there is no hole.
And if there was a hole for the fan, it would suck air out of the tower and not blow it in.

You can actually just use motherboard pin jumpers to short the connections so the Optiplex will be confused.

you would just need to pull a sata cable from the psu and mount it with screws if you wanted
