Dr. Bruce Dickinson - lead singer of legendary rock group Iron Maiden - visited Queen Mary, University of London on Tuesday 20 November. Dr. Dickinson, a QM History alumnus, rock star, airline pilot and aviation business owner, was key note speaker at the QM Innovation Forum, an event featuring entrepreneurs who studied or worked at the university.
Here he is being interviewed in the Great Hall by QM History postgraduate Ashley Sweetman, who asked him questions posed by our Queen Mary Facebook community on the subject of starting a business, fans who ask him to sign their pets, and his memories of Queen Mary.

Maiden are like Rush, they are very smart, together guys which is why they have their shit together as music writers and performers.
They play the part of the rock musician but the part does not play them, it would seem. They don't fuck around like so many 'wild' rockers who lose their way and get unhealthy.
I too think of Bruce as an inspiring person, and his musical instincts are very good.

business heads should listen to bruce. i worked for a co active in making customers non fans. did not do service. ordered to tell customer supervisor will call them back. did not call back. only cared about moving line fast not helping the customer.treated workers like a number. saw a lot of fans become customers. bought merch from another band which was cheap and shoddy. maiden merch excellent. wish bruce had run the co i worked for.
It's so weird to think that this frontman of iron maiden can look so professional and is so smart. XD
