They change their stage outfits about every year. However, due to restrictions on live activities in 2020, there are few opportunities to wear it, and the same costume will be used for the 2021 live. (Only Miyako's body shape changed due to pregnancy, so she may have adjusted her size.)
They always amaze, don't they. Great reaction. I always prefer their live shows. The reason that Asami moves so gracefully, as you noted Mrs Bro, is that she studied Ballet for quite a few years. To get a bit of an insight into Miyako, you might like to take a look at her own channel "Miyako Metal". There's even a video of her taking that guitar apart & showing us what she's done to it. It has subtitles. But there are many other fascinating videos on there too.
Sadly the background noise is more annoying due to not having a solid microphone setup. So we use the background music to limit that dead air sound. Eventually we will get more pro. We setup a cashapp for donations to help. The first purchase we will make is a better sound setup.
Miyako endorses Dean's? She has a few. However, she plays a Les Paul , a strat, even a Tele! She's really an amazing bass player as well. I've been around Classical musicians, the discipline required to practice 8 hours a day is commendable. Miyako was a Concert pianist. At 18 she bought an axe and a beginner book, meanwhile earning a degree in music... Duh Every young lady in Lovebites plays some piano Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, l was around some incredible musicians, nevertheless, nothing like these girls. Thing is, times have changed; perhaps serious Rock might come back. Lovebites is what I am talking about. In Japan, piano lessons begin at 3 or 4. Music classes in 1st grade forward. After school music programs- l missed out. Honestly, l don't have the talent these Japanese girls have. Everytime l turn, there's around, there's an 8 year old Japanese girl that can smoke me... Like Li-Sa X Talent and discipline. Thank you Japan for keeping Rock alive. 😊🎉 12:51
LOVEBITES - Holy War lyrics: Look at those black clouds, it’s going to rain blood People live in fear, covered in mud Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for sisters There is a thousand, a thousand of evils Hush, do not wake up Satan’s devils Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for brothers Shining blade and burning heart Into the Gates of Hell we march Immortal soul, let there be light Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun We are one for all and all for one forevermore Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall Reincarnation, wait for your call Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for sisters Morning star and dying moon Into the Gates of Hell we march Mighty soul, let there be hope Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight? But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for Only have one thing on our mind Facing the fate, holy war Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for brothers Shining blade and burning heart Into the Gates of Hell we march Immortal soul, let there be light Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun We are one for all and all for one forevermore What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight? But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for Only have one thing on our mind Facing the fate, holy war ----- lyrics: LOVEBITES music: Mao arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami)
Holy War is one of only a handful of songs not written by a band member. It was written by a songwriter and keyboardist named Mao that was in a very good power metal band called Light Bringer which ended in 2014. Side note - the lead singer of Light Bringer was Fuki who is now the lead singer for Unlucky Morpheus and the sometimes active band called Doll$Boxx. In writing songs, Miho, Asami and Midori all collaborated with Mao. Miyako has written and arranged 20 songs (including Set The World On Fire) and 2 instrumentals for Lovebites thus far, almost half their catalog. The only exception to her solo songwriting is the Miho/Miyako classic called Break The Wall. That would be a good next song. Others have suggested The Awakening/The Hammer Of Wrath which is also a good choice. The Awakening is one of the instrumentals written by Miyako and The Hammer Of Wrath is a Miho/Mao song. Break The Wall - ua-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/v-deo.html The Awakening/The Hammer Of Wrath - ua-cam.com/video/otJZPUCwyOM/v-deo.html If you are interested, below is a link to a video (subtitled) where Miyako introduces her signature Dean guitar in her own little studio. This one isn't a reaction request ua-cam.com/video/3aXuKxzAWmc/v-deo.html
Be correct and precise in your statements. Do not mislead people .🙃 You said that you are a lawyer ! 🤭 A song as a finished product is : lyrics + music + arrangement. The lyrics of the song "Holy War" are the merit of the members of the band, because all members of the band took part in writing the lyrics. Mao never wrote lyrics for LOVEBITES. The music written by Mao underwent many changes during the recording of the song, for example, Miyako made several versions of the guitar parts.. That's why the arrangement says Mao & Lovebites. The final product is as follows: "Holy War" ( lyric - Lovebites / music - Mao / arrangement - Мао, Lovebites). If in court you, as a lawyer, stated : " the song "Holy War" is one of only a handful of songs NOT written by a band members. Author of the song "Holy War" Mao " ..... then you would have lost the process miserably😆
@@GrayFox14 From my experience the music comes before lyrics so your little equation might be more accurate as music + lyrics + arrangement = the finished product. I didn't mention anything about the lyrics in my comment. If my use of the word song as meaning the actual musical composition was confusing to you, then I apologize. For Lovebites songs, the arrangement credit is always Lovebites and Miyako for Miyako compositions or Lovebites and Mao for all the songs that Miyako did not compose. To me it is pretty clear that the primary arrangers for Lovebites is either Miyako or Mao. I have no idea what tweaks were made in the studio, I wasn't there. You weren't either. If changes were made, I have no doubt most would be from Miyako. Whatever happened, Mao still received sole credit for writing the music so I will still consider it a Mao song - oops - Mao musical composition. Based on the credit given, sounds like Lovebites also considers it a Moa musical composition. I had to come back and edit my response because I remembered the interview you are probably basing your argument on. It took me awhile to find it. They did have a discussion about studio changes to Holy War but apparently not enough to change the music credit from Mao to Mao and Lovebites. They then discussed Raise Some Hell which Miyako referred to as her song. But wait! Asami wrote the lyrics to Raise Some Hell. How does Miyako have the audacity to claim it as her song. You must be very very upset with Miyako. I, however, will be calling Miyako as my first witness. Goodnight.
@@danw6048 You can only consider Mao the author, this is your right. But then you do not recognize the intellectual work of the members of the band (writing lyrics, arrangements). Attributing songwriting to Mao alone is disrespectful to Miho, Haruna, Asami, Midori and Miyako. Following your logic, you weren't around Mao either when he composed the music for this song. Therefore, you cannot claim that this music was written by Mao. (Sorry, but your tricks, I use against you 🤗). If the author was Mao, then: 1. It would not be a song, but a musical composition (there would be no lyrics); 2. It would have sounded completely different, because there would have been no changes to the arrangement that all the members of the band had made! There are various interviews in which Asami, Miho, Haruna, Miyako and Midori talk about the process of creating songs, including for "Electric Pentagram" (also about "Holy War"). Miho: "Miyako made several versions of the guitar parts..."; Asami : "...I thought about the content of the song, we wrote the lyrics together discussing what words we would like to put in and what would be good for each of us. So the phrase We are the Metal Warriors was born"; "...if talking about writing lyrics, the song was the merit of all of us" ; Miho: "...unison tapping was added during recording"; Midori : "Mao-san's arrangement was too hard tough from the beginning...."; Miho : "During the recording, we had to change a lot of things " ; Miyako : "..the band made a lot of changes during the recording" ; Haruna: "the producer asked me to change the arrangement "; Etc. Some of the interviews were in Japanese, so there may be slight linguistic errors. But the meaning of what the ladies said is conveyed correctly. I respect Mao as a musician and composer, but the songs were not written by him, but with his participation, and this is a collective work. Arrangements of ALL LOVEBITES songs are made with the participation of ALL members of the band (except for the song "Inspire"), part of the songs featuring Mao.
Can i give you guys a suggestion ?? Lower the music volume when you guys are talking, i got like 60% only. And is more difficult when English is not our main language.
I would to honestly, but the microphone started making a buzzing sound and we use that to minimize the annoying hum. We are shopping new microphones but good ones are expensive. Amazon deals are bad quality.
Suggestion for her.. please check out their song Frozen Serenade (live). Suggestion for him.. please check out Thunder Vengeance (live). And for both.. Winds Of Transylvania (Vlad Love version); it’s an opening for an anime, but check it out for the incredible music.. 🎶
Great reaction. Miyako is sponsored by Dean and uses Orange amps (and a cool white Roland piano). I'm sure someone will dump all their gear info in the comments.
Miyako really doesn't like that white Roland piano. She much prefers actual grand pianos (including her own baby grand) with the heavier keys and the slight delayed, percussive sound. She is in the camp that a piano is a percussion instrument. Of course, transporting a grand piano would be a nightmare and I doubt the venue has them laying around.
You guys should listen to a female Japanese drummer named Junna and her cover of Through the Fire and Flames. Rumor has it that Marty Friedman is touring this fall and Junna will be his drummer. I tell you this because I hear you mention Friedman alot and also watching Junna play is an instant cure for any bad day.
Also Takayoshi from Baby Metal is in his band. If you can stand toe to toe with Marty, you're a badass! Junna is a beast! Surprised Yoyoka didn't get that gig.
Yes, love Marty, he's from my neck if the woods. His solo band are all virtuoso musicians. Takeyoshi'a high school band was covering Yngwie. I could barely fumble through 'Highway Star."
the next 2 reactions you should do from Lovebites is Scream For Me and Bravehearted both from the daughters of the dawn live from tokyo 2019 the 1st song has 14 guitar solos in it please let me know what you think
The thing about being elegant is that in Japan they are against the grain. If you want to see what is typical metal to them there, have a search for "visual kei". Some of that is really out there. But they have 2 reasons why they wear white. 1. So they can BE SEEN. Miyako (the guitarist playing and endorsed by Dean) is the tallest in the band at 5'2". Haruna (the drummer) is the shortest at barely 4'9". If they were like other typical bands, they would get swallowed up by the stage. Wearing white forces everyone to look at them and see them. 2. You don't have to dress sleazy or trashy to be metal. Midori said it best that she also likes to play heavy but also carry her Louis Vuitton purse. Nobody said that they couldn't do both. So they dress how they want, and play how they want, and no-one takes that from them. Besides, it says a lot when they can play as good as - and actually better - than the guys in bands, and can do it in heels. I don't know if you've reacted to it yet, but you should react to Break The Wall, by LoveBites. In addition to Dimebag being one of Miyako's influences, she also is majorly influenced by Gary Moore. You'd like that song for the arrangement and how heavy it is. As you know these ladies can throw down, but they go even harder.
Maybe do your homework and find out. I bet if you look more into our channel you'll see more than just Holy War. As to Holy War, it was the song we were requested to react to originally. Otherwise we never would have heard of Lovebites. They are not popular in the US.
Glad you enjoyed that. I have one moan as you seem to like those 🤣. The background music while you're talking is a bit too loud IMO. It makes it difficult to hear what you're saying. 🤘
"Tokyo DiverCity" is pronounced "Tokyo diversity", NOT three seperate words, "Tokyo Diver City" (there is no such place, lol). It's a play on the word that's really freakin' out the tin-foil hat Qanon crowd. LMFAO!!! The Japanese are proud of their positivity and diversity as a country, and they're really good with English language word-play.
All the Japanese metal bands are great live. I think it's the sobriety. I think it's the drugs and alcohol that derail American bands. You don't see that in Japanese metal. Or not to nearly the same extent. Also there is more pressure on Japanese bands in Japan to put on a quality show and not disappoint. They are held more personally accountable. If you pulled a Guns N Roses in Japan there would be consequences. You might have to leave the country.
Thankfully, they're clean and sober. Not locked away with a gallon of 100 proof vodka and an ounce of blow. We've got a better way of living. That's no way to live.
I prefer live performance in Ride for Vengeance version. It is crazy they did such a song live and did it perfectly. ua-cam.com/video/qd_qop5j1bs/v-deo.html

They change their stage outfits about every year. However, due to restrictions on live activities in 2020, there are few opportunities to wear it, and the same costume will be used for the 2021 live.
(Only Miyako's body shape changed due to pregnancy, so she may have adjusted her size.)
My Lovebites 🏴 🐺 🤘
They always amaze, don't they. Great reaction. I always prefer their live shows.
The reason that Asami moves so gracefully, as you noted Mrs Bro, is that she studied Ballet for quite a few years.
To get a bit of an insight into Miyako, you might like to take a look at her own channel "Miyako Metal". There's even a video of her taking that guitar apart & showing us what she's done to it. It has subtitles. But there are many other fascinating videos on there too.
That’s a great Channel and Goddess of instruments. Which instruments? All of them!
Hey Bro it is hard to listen you over the background music.
And yeah Miyako is officially sponsored by Dean, they made a custom model.
Duh
Every young lady in Lovebites plays some
piano Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, l was around some incredible musicians, nevertheless, nothing like these girls.
Like
Li-Sa X Talent and discipline. Thank you Japan for keeping Rock alive. 😊🎉 12:51
Welcome the Wolfpack 🤘🌹
LOVEBITES - Holy War lyrics:
Look at those black clouds, it’s going to rain blood
People live in fear, covered in mud
Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
There is a thousand, a thousand of evils
Hush, do not wake up Satan’s devils
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall
Reincarnation, wait for your call
Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
Morning star and dying moon
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Mighty soul, let there be hope
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war

lyrics: LOVEBITES
music: Mao
arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami)

If the author was Mao, then:
1. It would not be a song, but a musical composition (there would be no lyrics);
Bloody Lovebites 🐺 I love'em
Can i give you guys a suggestion ??
Lower the music volume when you guys are talking, i got like 60% only. And is more difficult when English is not our main language.
I would to honestly, but the microphone started making a buzzing sound and we use that to minimize the annoying hum. We are shopping new microphones but good ones are expensive. Amazon deals are bad quality.
This what happens when the 70s guitar of Skynyrd and Priest are combined best band around from a old school rocker
Suggestion for her.. please check out their song Frozen Serenade (live). Suggestion for him.. please check out Thunder Vengeance (live). And for both.. Winds Of Transylvania (Vlad Love version); it’s an opening for an anime, but check it out for the incredible music.. 🎶
Here for my daily Lovebites fix 🐺
I believe she even has signature Dean model.
Yes the dean and it's her model line.
I could barely fumble through 'Highway Star."
you should react to Rising, Raise Some Hell or Edge of the World next from Lovebites all three songs are amazing
MAXIMUM THE HORMONE
· Yoshu Fukushu
· Hungry Pride
· Tsume Tsume Tsume
depending on the show or possibly their mood.
they wear different attire. it’s a Dean Bro
Miyako and Midori made an appearance with Marty Friedman on the Rock Fujiyama youtube channel. Really made me wish I could understand Japanese.
Actually Steve Garris of Iri Maiden is Miho the bassist's inspiration and model.
LOVEBITES Edge of the World
Please try listening to it if you like.
LOVEBITES 🐺 INCREDIBLE
the next 2 reactions you should do from Lovebites is Scream For Me and Bravehearted both from the daughters of the dawn live from tokyo 2019 the 1st song has 14 guitar solos in it please let me know what you think
If you want to hear vocal harmonies, have you heard " Empty Daydream " by them. More of an 80's Heavy metal but it's a great song.
Please react to " Empty Daydream" by Lovebites. 80's metal, showing they can play any type of metal.
BADASS 🤘
Why do people overseas who react to LOVEBITES videos only watch HOLY WAR? Although there are other songs. Did someone tell you to look at this?
Maybe do your homework and find out. I bet if you look more into our channel you'll see more than just Holy War.
As to Holy War, it was the song we were requested to react to originally. Otherwise we never would have heard of Lovebites. They are not popular in the US.
Glad you enjoyed that. I have one moan as you seem to like those 🤣. The background music while you're talking is a bit too loud IMO. It makes it difficult to hear what you're saying. 🤘
Please lower the volume of your backtrack. I barely could understand what you were saying. Thank you.
Watch Frozen serenade and Hammer of wrath...
I have seen only one person who reacted to this song comment about one handed bass tapping. And your not it.
The bassist reminds me of Steve Harris.
Is she you daughter? 😳
