About the white stage costumes, in an interview for a French magazine in, I think from memory, 2018 or 19, Asami, the vocalist said, "We're girls, we don't want to dress like boys. Also we are all short and the white makes us easier to see on stage". And short they are, from drummer Haruna at 1.45 meters to tallest, Miyako and Fami (the new girl not in this video) at just under 1.6 meters (about 4' 9" to 5' 2" in old measure) I got to meet the band after their first gig in London back in June at the start of a short tour of the UK and Europe, and although I have been following them for several years prior, I was totally unprepared for both just how short and petite they all are, and also how stunningly beautiful they all are. Add to that their excellence musically, and I think these Ladies have what it takes to conquer the world.
If I remember well they also said (concerning their white clothes): We want to show that metal must not necessarily be dark and brutal. Lovebite's lyrics are mostly constructive and encouraging, not about hate and destroying all.
FYI - Neither The Warning or Band-Maid is a heavy metal band. Both are rock bands. They do have some heavy songs but most of their music is primarily of the rock genre.

The main principles of the band presented by Miho, the founder and first bassist of LOVEBITES, are as follows. ①Heavy metal (basic policy) ②All English lyrics (strategy for global expansion) ③White costumes (Most metal bands wear black costumes, and if these short girls wore black costumes, they would be hidden, so they wear white costumes to contrast and stand out.) ④High heels (to compensate for short height) The white costumes can be dyed in various colors by colored lighting. They wear white outfits and are lit up with colored lights that reflect the themes and genres of their lyrics. The white outfits have an advantage because LOVEBITES' songs incorporate different metal genres and there are many different aspects to their lyrics and music. Miho also thought about the visual on stage. Asami will modify stage lighting effects etc. on-site. For white costumes, each person requests their preferences and ideas from the costume staff. Lovebites Drummer Haruna and Bassist Miho were previously in a band called Destrose. You should check out their song Rin. They disbanded in 2015 and all the members went on to form other bands.

Lovebites are a Japanese heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by Miho, Bass, who was previously in the band DESTROSE that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from the 1970's and 80's British and European bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. Miho is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Iron Maiden and is influenced by his playing style. She left the band in 2021 for personal reasons and is currently pursuing new projects. Any Lovebites video recorded in 2021 or earlier, the basist will be Miho (ESP Bass), any from 2022 or later, it is 'new girl' Fami (Bacchus Bass, usually a 5 string) The present members are, Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker. Midori, (Midori Tatematsu) ESP Guitars. The blond 'Amazon Warrior'. Before Lovebites a member of all female band GEKIJO METALICCHE. Miyako, ( Watanabe Miyako, also has used the name Mi Ya) Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. The 'serious' one with long black hair. Before Lovebites a member of the bands DROP OF JOKER, 21g and SONIC LOVER RECKLESS. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions. She recently posted a 3 part series on her YT channel 'MIYAKO OFFICIAL' about the process she uses to compose new music in her home studio. She has an EP of some classic heavy metal songs transcibed and played on piano as though they are classical works. It would be accurate to think of her as a classical pianist who also plays guitar in a heavy metal band. A remarkable young woman. Both Guitarists play lead, seamlessly swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play wonderful harmonised dual solos. Fami, Bacchus Bass. The 'new girl', recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was in her teens. Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. Before Lovebites she had been in Destrose, Miho's former band, and was the first to join her in the new band. I saw Lovebites live in London recently, and watched Haruna in awe. She plays powerfully, fast and precisely throughout concerts that can be up to near 2 hours long. She uses a double kick bass pedal at unbelievable speed. All members of the band can play piano/keyboards. They were the first all female Japanese band to play at the Wacken festival, Germany in 2018, also playing at the Bloodstock festival in the UK and winning the UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. In 2019 they toured the UK with Dragon Force and opened for Arch Enemy in China. Following Miho's departure in 2021 they went on hiatus, two members, Asami and Miyako getting married and having babies. Their 'comeback' concert, the first with Fami on Bass, was in March 2023. LOVEBITES are elite musicians - in terms of pure musicianship, I'd put them in the top three metal bands on the planet (along with Dream Theater and Symphony-X). This band busted the doors open for all the other bands. Formed in 2008 they were not first but all the previous bands never succeeded.

With Japanese bands many of these newer female driven ones incorporate a theme or cos play/costumes into their heavy diet of World Class musicianship. The contrast of Wonderfully dressed Disney Princess combined with the pure shock and awe of the Metal they play is truly a sight too behold. When you dig deep this bands Musical Domination is of Professor level rival and surpassing many past standards in their genre. Best All Female Metal band of All Time and Best new band in the last 20-25 years imo. Wolfpack!
the problem with baby metal in my eyes is that is an idol band with session musicians they do not write their own music do not play their instruments and when they get too old they replayced their songs are catchy but they not much different from boy bands we seen in the 2000s some money men behind it
Congratulations on finding Lovebites. Japanese metal is on an incredible roll, especially the women, who are kicking ass on an epic scale. Another great band you should check out is Bridear. Founded in 2011, they were in the second wave of all-female heavy-metal bands. They have the classic twin-lead attack and technical rhythm section. They have gone through some changes but have always kept their hard, heavy, technical sound. Their tiny bassist even does death growls! They just released their new album on June 28 and it’s a banger. BURRN is calling it a masterpiece. Metal Hammer compares them to Lovebites. If this band had existed back in the early seventies and I'd turned my friends onto it, back when we were listening to Uriah Heep and Nazareth and Yes and, of course Deep Purple, bands like that, they would have had literal melt-downs, I mean they would have had smoke rising off their heads and sparks running up and down their spines, they would have worshiped the ground these girls walked on, putting their albums under their jackets and walking out of the record store with them (We never had any money) and everything. In fact, it may have not turned out so positively now that I think about it cause my best friend, Dave Langford, really freaked out over music, I mean, the first time he heard Van Halen we almost had to call an ambulance for him, he was flailing around and laughing like a drunken Baptist and just went out of control but THIS band, I'm picturing two sudden jets of blood leaping out of his ears, some convulsions and then, either death or Nirvana...or both, coming and going at the same time...

About the white stage costumes, in an interview for a French magazine in, I think from memory, 2018 or 19, Asami, the vocalist said, "We're girls, we don't want to dress like boys. Also we are all short and the white makes us easier to see on stage".
And short they are, from drummer Haruna at 1.45 meters to tallest, Miyako and Fami (the new girl not in this video) at just under 1.6 meters (about 4' 9" to 5' 2" in old measure) I got to meet the band after their first gig in London back in June at the start of a short tour of the UK and Europe, and although I have been following them for several years prior, I was totally unprepared for both just how short and petite they all are, and also how stunningly beautiful they all are. Add to that their excellence musically, and I think these Ladies have what it takes to conquer the world.
If I remember well they also said (concerning their white clothes): We want to show that metal must not necessarily be dark and brutal. Lovebite's lyrics are mostly constructive and encouraging, not about hate and destroying all.
FYI - Neither The Warning or Band-Maid is a heavy metal band. Both are rock bands. They do have some heavy songs but most of their music is primarily of the rock genre.

①Heavy metal (basic policy)
②All English lyrics (strategy for global expansion)
③White costumes (Most metal bands wear black costumes, and if these short girls wore black costumes, they would be hidden, so they wear white costumes to contrast and stand out.)
④High heels (to compensate for short height)
The white costumes can be dyed in various colors by colored lighting.
They wear white outfits and are lit up with colored lights that reflect the themes and genres of their lyrics.
The white outfits have an advantage because LOVEBITES' songs incorporate different metal genres and there are many different aspects to their lyrics and music.

Welcome to Lovebites, the Wolfpack 🐺 Lovebites fans around the world, will be along to give you information and recommendations.
Lovebites are a Japanese heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by Miho, Bass, who was previously in the band DESTROSE that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from the 1970's and 80's British and European bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. Miho is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Iron Maiden and is influenced by his playing style. She left the band in 2021 for personal reasons and is currently pursuing new projects.
Any Lovebites video recorded in 2021 or earlier, the basist will be Miho (ESP Bass), any from 2022 or later, it is 'new girl' Fami (Bacchus Bass, usually a 5 string)
The present members are,
Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker.
Midori, (Midori Tatematsu) ESP Guitars. The blond 'Amazon Warrior'. Before Lovebites a member of all female band GEKIJO METALICCHE.
Miyako, ( Watanabe Miyako, also has used the name Mi Ya) Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. The 'serious' one with long black hair. Before Lovebites a member of the bands DROP OF JOKER, 21g and SONIC LOVER RECKLESS. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions. She recently posted a 3 part series on her YT channel 'MIYAKO OFFICIAL' about the process she uses to compose new music in her home studio. She has an EP of some classic heavy metal songs transcibed and played on piano as though they are classical works. It would be accurate to think of her as a classical pianist who also plays guitar in a heavy metal band. A remarkable young woman.
Both Guitarists play lead, seamlessly swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play wonderful harmonised dual solos.
Fami, Bacchus Bass. The 'new girl', recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was in her teens.
Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. Before Lovebites she had been in Destrose, Miho's former band, and was the first to join her in the new band. I saw Lovebites live in London recently, and watched Haruna in awe. She plays powerfully, fast and precisely throughout concerts that can be up to near 2 hours long. She uses a double kick bass pedal at unbelievable speed.
All members of the band can play piano/keyboards.
They were the first all female Japanese band to play at the Wacken festival, Germany in 2018, also playing at the Bloodstock festival in the UK and winning the UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. In 2019 they toured the UK with Dragon Force and opened for Arch Enemy in China. Following Miho's departure in 2021 they went on hiatus, two members, Asami and Miyako getting married and having babies. Their 'comeback' concert, the first with Fami on Bass, was in March 2023.

Changes happened a year after this Concert. In 2021 Bassist *Miho's* father died during Covid, and she quit the band for personal reasons. Lovebites went on hiatus, and 2 of them had babies. They added 20yo phenom *Fami* as their new bassist in Oct 2022, and they have come back better than ever. With Japanese bands many of these newer female driven ones incorporate a theme or cos play/costumes into their heavy diet of World Class musicianship. The contrast of Wonderfully dressed Disney Princess combined with the pure shock and awe of the Metal they play is truly a sight too behold. When you dig deep this bands Musical Domination is of Professor level rival and surpassing many past standards in their genre. Best All Female Metal band of All Time and Best new band in the last 20-25 years imo. Wolfpack!

Congratulations on finding Lovebites. Japanese metal is on an incredible roll, especially the women, who are kicking ass on an epic scale. Another great band you should check out is Bridear. Founded in 2011, they were in the second wave of all-female heavy-metal bands. They have the classic twin-lead attack and technical rhythm section. They have gone through some changes but have always kept their hard, heavy, technical sound. Their tiny bassist even does death growls!
They just released their new album on June 28 and it’s a banger. BURRN is calling it a masterpiece. Metal Hammer compares them to Lovebites. If this band had existed back in the early seventies and I'd turned my friends onto it, back when we were listening to Uriah Heep and Nazareth and Yes and, of course Deep Purple, bands like that, they would have had literal melt-downs, I mean they would have had smoke rising off their heads and sparks running up and down their spines, they would have worshiped the ground these girls walked on, putting their albums under their jackets and walking out of the record store with them (We never had any money) and everything. In fact, it may have not turned out so positively now that I think about it cause my best friend, Dave Langford, really freaked out over music, I mean, the first time he heard Van Halen we almost had to call an ambulance for him, he was flailing around and laughing like a drunken Baptist and just went out of control but THIS band, I'm picturing two sudden jets of blood leaping out of his ears, some convulsions and then, either death or Nirvana...or both, coming and going at the same time...

I was the 1rst to recommend Lovebites when you guys just started. Now how about: Hagane, KOIAI, X Japan, Nemophila, Ado, Unlucky Morpheous, Asterism, Aldious, Mary's Blood, Destrose, Mardelas, One Okay Rock, Ningen Isu and so many more talented Rock and Metal of every genre from Japan. ❤
Right to put "Hagane 2.0" on the first place to recommend for a first listen! Sakura (guitar) and Sayaka (bass) put something magical together with Junna (drums) and Nagi (vocal). Everybody who had not listened to them yet should do this immediately. Tengagoken (The five swords of Japan) is pretty decent to begin with...
