FYI - Neither The Warning or Band-Maid is a heavy metal band. Both are rock bands. They do have some heavy songs but most of their music is primarily of the rock genre.
Best metal band to come along in decades. Midori & Miyako have no peers as dual guitarists. All members are elite in their musicianship. Dive deeper, they just get more impressive. If you want international flavor the Japanese metal/rock scene is where to begin. So many incredibly talented bands led by the all-female bands.
This band have no peers. Great musicians, great composition, and the nicest, fan friendly people you could possibly imagine. They have a catalogue of approximately 60 songs and, hand on heart, there is no album filler in that number.

About the white stage costumes, in an interview for a French magazine in, I think from memory, 2018 or 19, Asami, the vocalist said, "We're girls, we don't want to dress like boys. Also we are all short and the white makes us easier to see on stage". And short they are, from drummer Haruna at 1.45 meters to tallest, Miyako and Fami (the new girl not in this video) at just under 1.6 meters (about 4' 9" to 5' 2" in old measure) I got to meet the band after their first gig in London back in June at the start of a short tour of the UK and Europe, and although I have been following them for several years prior, I was totally unprepared for both just how short and petite they all are, and also how stunningly beautiful they all are. Add to that their excellence musically, and I think these Ladies have what it takes to conquer the world.
If I remember well they also said (concerning their white clothes): We want to show that metal must not necessarily be dark and brutal. Lovebite's lyrics are mostly constructive and encouraging, not about hate and destroying all.
It's so much more like this. They're evolving the "old school" (what the heck does this mean ?) - style up to a completely new emotional experience. An experience, more and more people aren't able to elude from . . .

The main principles of the band presented by Miho, the founder and first bassist of LOVEBITES, are as follows. ①Heavy metal (basic policy) ②All English lyrics (strategy for global expansion) ③White costumes (Most metal bands wear black costumes, and if these short girls wore black costumes, they would be hidden, so they wear white costumes to contrast and stand out.) ④High heels (to compensate for short height) The white costumes can be dyed in various colors by colored lighting. They wear white outfits and are lit up with colored lights that reflect the themes and genres of their lyrics. The white outfits have an advantage because LOVEBITES' songs incorporate different metal genres and there are many different aspects to their lyrics and music. Miho also thought about the visual on stage. Asami will modify stage lighting effects etc. on-site. For white costumes, each person requests their preferences and ideas from the costume staff. LOVEBITES are elite musicians - in terms of pure musicianship, I'd put them in the top three metal bands on the planet (along with Dream Theater and Symphony-X). Their music is heavily inspired by the classic metal of the 1980s and early 1990s. If LOVEBITES were playing this music in 1985, they'd be as famous and successful as Metallica and Megadeth.

Yes, those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just seven years. Miyako (black hair guitarist) is also a concert level classical pianist. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined the band; her voice is rather clean, no opera training. Thank you for taking up LOVEBITES. They formed in 2016 and made their debut the following year, but in 2021, the band went on hiatus due to the departure of their bassist (the bassist in this video). They made a spectacular comeback in 2022 with the addition of new bassist Fami, who was selected through a public audition. And this year, from June to September, they successfully completed a world tour visiting the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Denmark, South Korea, Japan, and the USA. Lovebites are a Japanese heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by Miho, Bass, who was previously in the band DESTROSE that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from the 1970's and 80's British and European bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. Miho is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Iron Maiden and is influenced by his playing style. She left the band in 2021 for personal reasons and is currently pursuing new projects. Any Lovebites video recorded in 2021 or earlier, the basist will be Miho (ESP Bass), any from 2022 or later, it is 'new girl' Fami (Bacchus Bass, usually a 5 string) The present members are, Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker. Midori, (Midori Tatematsu) ESP Guitars. The blond 'Amazon Warrior'. Before Lovebites a member of all female band GEKIJO METALICCHE. Miyako, ( Watanabe Miyako, also has used the name Mi Ya) Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. The 'serious' one with long black hair. Before Lovebites a member of the bands DROP OF JOKER, 21g and SONIC LOVER RECKLESS. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions. She recently posted a 3 part series on her YT channel 'MIYAKO OFFICIAL' about the process she uses to compose new music in her home studio. She has an EP of some classic heavy metal songs transcibed and played on piano as though they are classical works. It would be accurate to think of her as a classical pianist who also plays guitar in a heavy metal band. A remarkable young woman. Both Guitarists play lead, seamlessly swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play wonderful harmonised dual solos. Fami, Bacchus Bass. The 'new girl', recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was in her teens. Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. Before Lovebites she had been in Destrose, Miho's former band, and was the first to join her in the new band. I saw Lovebites live in London recently, and watched Haruna in awe. She plays powerfully, fast and precisely throughout concerts that can be up to near 2 hours long. She uses a double kick bass pedal at unbelievable speed. All members of the band can play piano/keyboards. They were the first all female Japanese band to play at the Wacken festival, Germany in 2018, also playing at the Bloodstock festival in the UK and winning the UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. In 2019 they toured the UK with Dragon Force and opened for Arch Enemy in China. Following Miho's departure in 2021 they went on hiatus, two members, Asami and Miyako getting married and having babies. Their 'comeback' concert, the first with Fami on Bass, was in March 2023. There are dozens of all-female Japanese metal bands. They are all fantastic and none of them make even one bad song. I know that sounds like hyperbole but it is not. With Japanese music, it is just point, click, and win.

Changes happened a year after this Concert. In 2021 Bassist *Miho's* father died during Covid, and she quit the band for personal reasons. Lovebites went on hiatus, and 2 of them had babies. They added 20yo phenom *Fami* as their new bassist in Oct 2022, and they have come back better than ever. the problem with baby metal in my eyes is that is an idol band with session musicians they do not write their own music do not play their instruments and when they get too old they replayced their songs are catchy but they not much different from boy bands we seen in the 2000s some money men behind it
Congratulations on finding Lovebites. Japanese metal is on an incredible roll, especially the women, who are kicking ass on an epic scale. Another great band you should check out is Bridear. Founded in 2011, they were in the second wave of all-female heavy-metal bands. They have the classic twin-lead attack and technical rhythm section. They have gone through some changes but have always kept their hard, heavy, technical sound. Their tiny bassist even does death growls! They just released their new album on June 28 and it’s a banger. BURRN is calling it a masterpiece. Metal Hammer compares them to Lovebites. This band busted the doors open for all the other bands. Formed in 2008 they were not first but all the previous bands never succeeded.

With Japanese bands many of these newer female driven ones incorporate a theme or cos play/costumes into their heavy diet of World Class musicianship. The contrast of Wonderfully dressed Disney Princess combined with the pure shock and awe of the Metal they play is truly a sight too behold. When you dig deep this bands Musical Domination is of Professor level rival and surpassing many past standards in their genre. Over a year past due but better late than never to get to the Metal Queens 👑. The Warning and Band-Maid are rock, not metal. There are a lot of all female Japanese rock/metal bands you are unaware of. Too many for me to list, easy more than a dozen you have not done.
I was the 1rst to recommend Lovebites when you guys just started. Now how about: Hagane, KOIAI, X Japan, Nemophila, Ado, Unlucky Morpheous, Asterism, Aldious, Mary's Blood, Destrose, Mardelas, One Okay Rock, Ningen Isu and so many more talented Rock and Metal of every genre from Japan. ❤
Right to put "Hagane 2.0" on the first place to recommend for a first listen! Sakura (guitar) and Sayaka (bass) put something magical together with Junna (drums) and Nagi (vocal). Everybody who had not listened to them yet should do this immediately. Tengagoken (The five swords of Japan) is pretty decent to begin with...
If this band had existed back in the early seventies and I'd turned my friends onto it, back when we were listening to Uriah Heep and Nazareth and Yes and, of course Deep Purple, bands like that, they would have had literal melt-downs, I mean they would have had smoke rising off their heads and sparks running up and down their spines, they would have worshiped the ground these girls walked on, putting their albums under their jackets and walking out of the record store with them (We never had any money) and everything. In fact, it may have not turned out so positively now that I think about it cause my best friend, Dave Langford, really freaked out over music, I mean, the first time he heard Van Halen we almost had to call an ambulance for him, he was flailing around and laughing like a drunken Baptist and just went out of control but THIS band, I'm picturing two sudden jets of blood leaping out of his ears, some convulsions and then, either death or Nirvana...or both, coming and going at the same time...

About the white stage costumes, in an interview for a French magazine in, I think from memory, 2018 or 19, Asami, the vocalist said, "We're girls, we don't want to dress like boys. Also we are all short and the white makes us easier to see on stage".
And short they are, from drummer Haruna at 1.45 meters to tallest, Miyako and Fami (the new girl not in this video) at just under 1.6 meters (about 4' 9" to 5' 2" in old measure) I got to meet the band after their first gig in London back in June at the start of a short tour of the UK and Europe, and although I have been following them for several years prior, I was totally unprepared for both just how short and petite they all are, and also how stunningly beautiful they all are. Add to that their excellence musically, and I think these Ladies have what it takes to conquer the world.
If I remember well they also said (concerning their white clothes): We want to show that metal must not necessarily be dark and brutal. Lovebite's lyrics are mostly constructive and encouraging, not about hate and destroying all.
Probably the best metal band going today, male or female. Definitely the best 80's style metal band since the 80's.

The main principles of the band presented by Miho, the founder and first bassist of LOVEBITES, are as follows.
①Heavy metal (basic policy)
②All English lyrics (strategy for global expansion)
③White costumes (Most metal bands wear black costumes, and if these short girls wore black costumes, they would be hidden, so they wear white costumes to contrast and stand out.)
④High heels (to compensate for short height)
The white costumes can be dyed in various colors by colored lighting.
They wear white outfits and are lit up with colored lights that reflect the themes and genres of their lyrics.
The white outfits have an advantage because LOVEBITES' songs incorporate different metal genres and there are many different aspects to their lyrics and music.
Miho also thought about the visual on stage.
Asami will modify stage lighting effects etc. on-site.

LOVEBITES are elite musicians - in terms of pure musicianship, I'd put them in the top three metal bands on the planet (along with Dream Theater and Symphony-X). Their music is heavily inspired by the classic metal of the 1980s and early 1990s. If LOVEBITES were playing this music in 1985, they'd be as famous and successful as Metallica and Megadeth.

Welcome to Lovebites, the Wolfpack 🐺 Lovebites fans around the world, will be along to give you information and recommendations.
Lovebites are a Japanese heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by Miho, Bass, who was previously in the band DESTROSE that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from the 1970's and 80's British and European bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. Miho is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Iron Maiden and is influenced by his playing style. She left the band in 2021 for personal reasons and is currently pursuing new projects.
Any Lovebites video recorded in 2021 or earlier, the basist will be Miho (ESP Bass), any from 2022 or later, it is 'new girl' Fami (Bacchus Bass, usually a 5 string)
The present members are,
Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker.
Midori, (Midori Tatematsu) ESP Guitars. The blond 'Amazon Warrior'. Before Lovebites a member of all female band GEKIJO METALICCHE.
Miyako, ( Watanabe Miyako, also has used the name Mi Ya) Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. The 'serious' one with long black hair. Before Lovebites a member of the bands DROP OF JOKER, 21g and SONIC LOVER RECKLESS. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions. She recently posted a 3 part series on her YT channel 'MIYAKO OFFICIAL' about the process she uses to compose new music in her home studio. She has an EP of some classic heavy metal songs transcibed and played on piano as though they are classical works. It would be accurate to think of her as a classical pianist who also plays guitar in a heavy metal band. A remarkable young woman.
Both Guitarists play lead, seamlessly swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play wonderful harmonised dual solos.
Fami, Bacchus Bass. The 'new girl', recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was in her teens.
Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. Before Lovebites she had been in Destrose, Miho's former band, and was the first to join her in the new band. I saw Lovebites live in London recently, and watched Haruna in awe. She plays powerfully, fast and precisely throughout concerts that can be up to near 2 hours long. She uses a double kick bass pedal at unbelievable speed.
All members of the band can play piano/keyboards.
They were the first all female Japanese band to play at the Wacken festival, Germany in 2018, also playing at the Bloodstock festival in the UK and winning the UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. In 2019 they toured the UK with Dragon Force and opened for Arch Enemy in China. Following Miho's departure in 2021 they went on hiatus, two members, Asami and Miyako getting married and having babies. Their 'comeback' concert, the first with Fami on Bass, was in March 2023.

I have been a fan of Rock and Metal music right from the beginning seeing bands bands like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Iron Maiden when they were 'new', Lovebites are amongst the best I have ever seen in over 60 years

(The Name Lovebites also taken from Lzzy Hale song).Besides Haruna Co-Founder loving Helloween Miho Ex-Bassist/Founder like her Idol (Steve Harris Bassist/Founder Iron Maiden) may be why Asami reminds people of Bruce Dickinsins operatic style. Miho most likely exposed her to it since she came from singing R&B like Alicia Keyes.

Liar she starts off Acapella before everyone kicks in Epiloge as well as the other E songs Edge of The World and Empty Daydream all start Balled like with Miyako on Piano then converting to guitar Empty Daydream has great backing vocals as well as Burden of Time where Miyako plays both keyboard and guitar at same time. Epilogue is the only true Ballad and stays a ballad with great guitaring and Edge of the World they just released a version fami bass is very present on from their Judgement Day tour for the album 2023 entitled Edge of The World Live Memorialfor the Warrior Souls The normal Judgement Day live is Knocking at Heaven's Gate. with the Liar Part II performance and Hammer of Wrath showcases Fami more with mini solos and a solo after guitar solos

Hi Guys, fingers on fire. These ladies can certainly rock it down to the core. They are all masters of their craft. You aint heard nothing yet!!! Asami the vocalist, is classically trained and trained as a ballet dancer. Rabbit hole warning! Great reaction and analysis as usual.
There are dozens of all-female Japanese metal bands. They are all fantastic and none of them make even one bad song. I know that sounds like hyperbole but it is not. With Japanese music, it is just point, click, and win.
Helloooo. They have more than 100 songs and you will not find a bad one. All their songs are very well constructed and musically, they are the best metal band in history, in my opinion. A big hug

Changes happened a year after this Concert. In 2021 Bassist *Miho's* father died during Covid, and she quit the band for personal reasons. Lovebites went on hiatus, and 2 of them had babies. They added 20yo phenom *Fami* as their new bassist in Oct 2022, and they have come back better than ever. I recall that Miho's father passed away from acute heart disease about a week after LOVEBITES participated in Wacken Open Air in August 2018.

Babymetal is an idol band
the problem with baby metal in my eyes is that is an idol band with session musicians they do not write their own music do not play their instruments and when they get too old they replayced their songs are catchy but they not much different from boy bands we seen in the 2000s some money men behind it
Congratulations on finding Lovebites. Japanese metal is on an incredible roll, especially the women, who are kicking ass on an epic scale. Another great band you should check out is Bridear. Founded in 2011, they were in the second wave of all-female heavy-metal bands. They have the classic twin-lead attack and technical rhythm section. They have gone through some changes but have always kept their hard, heavy, technical sound. Their tiny bassist even does death growls!
They just released their new album on June 28 and it’s a banger. BURRN is calling it a masterpiece. Metal Hammer compares them to Lovebites. With Japanese bands many of these newer female driven ones incorporate a theme or cos play/costumes into their heavy diet of World Class musicianship. The contrast of Wonderfully dressed Disney Princess combined with the pure shock and awe of the Metal they play is truly a sight too behold. When you dig deep this bands Musical Domination is of Professor level rival and surpassing many past standards in their genre. Best All Female Metal band of All Time and Best new band in the last 20-25 years imo. Wolfpack!

I was the 1rst to recommend Lovebites when you guys just started. Now how about: Hagane, KOIAI, X Japan, Nemophila, Ado, Unlucky Morpheous, Asterism, Aldious, Mary's Blood, Destrose, Mardelas, One Okay Rock, Ningen Isu and so many more talented Rock and Metal of every genre from Japan. ❤
Right to put "Hagane 2.0" on the first place to recommend for a first listen! Sakura (guitar) and Sayaka (bass) put something magical together with Junna (drums) and Nagi (vocal). Everybody who had not listened to them yet should do this immediately. Tengagoken (The five swords of Japan) is pretty decent to begin with...
If this band had existed back in the early seventies and I'd turned my friends onto it, back when we were listening to Uriah Heep and Nazareth and Yes and, of course Deep Purple, bands like that, they would have had literal melt-downs, I mean they would have had smoke rising off their heads and sparks running up and down their spines, they would have worshiped the ground these girls walked on, putting their albums under their jackets and walking out of the record store with them (We never had any money) and everything. In fact, it may have not turned out so positively now that I think about it cause my best friend, Dave Langford, really freaked out over music, I mean, the first time he heard Van Halen we almost had to call an ambulance for him, he was flailing around and laughing like a drunken Baptist and just went out of control but THIS band, I'm picturing two sudden jets of blood leaping out of his ears, some convulsions and then, either death or Nirvana...or both, coming and going at the same time...
