These women are extremely talented, skillful and great versatile musicians. They’re breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene.
But I’m still in shock and so sad because yesterday Miho announced that she is leaving the band; she was the bass player and the founder of the band. I wish Miho the best in their future endeavors and it seems the rest of the girls are going to continue their musical journey after some hiatus; I really hope so, because they still have so much to offer. Carry on, girls!

Lovebites is mind blowing, you sure got that right. You feel exactly like I did the first time I heard them play. These ladies are phenomenal. They won the 2018 Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. They are relatively unknown in the USA but hope to resume touring here when the pandemic settles down. Great reaction. Calling her the female Bruce Dickinson is fitting, because Iron Maiden is one of their biggest influences. You should give their song The Crusade a listen. It's their tribute to Iron Maiden. Go for the longer one, not the so-called UA-cam version. Lovebites are up there with the best. Others have already brought it up, but today is a sad day for the fandom now that Miho is leaving the band. I hope they can bounce back.
But Japan has many fantastic bands that tend to get overlooked. Check out Galneryus, Mutant Monster, Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas, Unlucky Morpheus, Aldious or Crystal Lake for starters.
Lovebites will be back once they find a new bassist. 🤘🐺🤘
It is a very sad news that Miho is leaving the band. She is the one who put the band together and wrote/co-wrote nearly half of their songs. It will not be easy to find a replacement who was the leader and contributed as much as Miho. There are reasons that make me worry about Lovebite's future. I do hope Lovebites can bounce back soon and Miho will come back to metal music in the future.
@@dancingking9535 I don't worry too much about Lovebites. Miyako and Mao (unofficial member) compose most of songs, and Asami writes a big part of lyrics and other members write lyrics as well. And there are tons of skilled and talented female bassists in Japan
The raw talent just goes on and on, believe me. Their songs blows you away every time.. Sadly Miho the bassist has today announced to leave the band, but the music stays. She was the co-founder of Lovebites. But as I say music stays so I recommend Awakening/The Hammer of Wrath live 2020 at the same show... so I'm waiting.

Nice, first time hearing them too. Good song, strong vocals and musicianship. Love those twin leads playing high level solos. I'm pretty sure they have listened to Sonata Arctica's Wolf and Raven, because there are a few moments reminiscent of that song, which by the way you need to react to. Thanks for the song.
You're not the first one comparing them to Sonata Arctica. And you will love them, because many of their songs have dueling guitars. Or they play perfectly in sync. Miyako and Midori are incredible guitarists. Check out their song Scream for Me. It's their ultimate shredfest.

Lovebites will take a break a while for Miho the bassist has left the band, but they say they are coming back definitely, they'll be back with a new bassist. Lovebites have 50 songs and they are all excellent, and farther more, a new live album is coming up with 18 songs over 2 hour live show. You still have a lot to do. The lead singer, Asami, came from a blues and jazz band background. They have twin lead guitarists, who are both extremely talented. One of them, Miyako, is also a classically trained pianist from age 3. Miyako is the quiet, dark haired, mad genius who writes much of their music. Another great performance would be their performance of Swan Song with the Chopin Etude featuring Miyako on piano and guitar. Move over Elton John!
they are inspired by 1980's british metal like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest to hear a song that reminded me of Judas Priest meets Metallica check out their song "Thunder Vengeance"

If I were you guys I would look into getting as much of Lovebites now that it is still available because a band member, the founder of Lovebites, Miho has left the band and Lovebites is going on Hiatus for the time being and I fear that most if not all MV will be taken down or be put on higher and stricter provisions and blocks. So onward new Lovebites fans and look for yourself the greatness that has just opened to your pleasure.

Now that is metal at it's absolute finest. No need for over the top lighting and effects for this band. They delivered some serious no nonsense metal at it's finest. Lovebites gets a 10 out of 10 from me. Please more of this. Love it. Best wishes guys. james:)

Now for the bad news the bassist Miho who formed this group and built it with the drummer Haruna is leaving the band. The band is going on hiatus for the unknown foreseeable future. 😭😔😢😮

They seem reasonably big in Japan. They've hold several concerts in huge venues with pretty elaborate shows. But they are probably even more popular outside of Japan. They have a more European-influenced style of metal and played at several European festivals, including Wacken. They've even toured the UK with DragonForce.

At first in mid 2019 when i was discovered them for the first time they got their name lovebites from def leppard song but actually it was from halestorm song called love bites..

No reason given given for Miho's departure, sounds like she wants to move on (she is one of the co-founders with the drummer). I guess the band are on hiatus until/unless they can recruit a new bassist.

These ladies really know how to rock. I think they only know one speed and that's FAST!! All of the band members are excellent musicians. The band's energy level is off the charts...it looks like one of their concerts would be a lot of fun. They remind me of Band Maid but even better IMO. I hope you guys do more Lovebites in the future. Your reactions pretty much ensure that they will be haha!
Here is another Japanese band that plays excellent music (not at this hyper-speed level though) and has flown under the radar for 34 years(!). They are Japan's answer to Black Sabbath and are the most unassuming metalheads you would ever see haha! this is Ninegn Isu with the song Heartless Scat (ua-cam.com/video/CbI79e5iZKs/v-deo.html). It might not blow you away like Lovebites did, but they are fantastic...wait til you hear the guitar solos! Cheers!

Nice reaction. Pretty much the same way I felt when I discovered them over a year ago. They quickly become my favorite Heavy Metal band. Every song on the Electric Pentagram album is great and there is live versions of many of them. If you react to Swan Song live make sure you pick the one with the Chopin Etude.

I was in the same frame of mind as you when I discovered Lovebites. I wondered if what I heard was real? The first song I heard from them was not that one but "When destinies align", a video clip. I recommend it to you, it's also amazing.

I kinda didn't like the beginning how they just jumped right in with four feet with no build up but as the music progressed .. it grew on me. I may get flack .. but I thought it sounded a lil like Nightwish .. even the lead singer (except not near the vocals of range Floor has). I can't think of which Nightwish song but this one actually sounded very similar to a certain track from Nightwish .. imho. But anyway .. the guitarists were awesome too. In my opinion, Japanese rock from the 60's and 70's is better than the Japanese music you have been reacting to. On that note try out Devil Woman by Murasaki, Woman Called Yellow "Z" by Strawberry Path, and Mr. Walking Drugstore Man by Speed, Glue & Shinki.

Quite monotonous and emotionless frankly. Not exactly my cup of tea. Try The Alien by Dream Theatre and you'll know the difference.
They have very emotional songs like Empty Daydream, Epilogue or Edge of the World.
