Seeing how EPIC this band is...there is more. The depth of talent in LOVEBITES is mind-blowing. 🤘🐺🤘
Miyako is a master of heavy metal compositional design. She varies the structures of her songs, so they never seem formulaic.
Miyako is among my favourite musicians because of her diversity.
She is such a nerd too. So much into Star Wars that she called her dog "Wampa".
On the musical side: She has a grand (or mini grand) in her music room, which she got while she was in the "100% piano". It had plastic keys, which she didnt like, so he got them replaced by some "real" ones. She does also like to build or modify her guitars. Like that Dean Icon has been lightly modified with new pick-ups.. Wonder if it also was changed from passive to active? Yeah she is very serious, but i believe it has to be with her being concentrated. With some live recordings there is a bit of prestige, and it might affect her more, since i've seen some amateur videos where she does seem less serious and more smiling?
Miyako replaced her stock pickups with Fishman Fluence pickups that are active after she got the Icon. There is a video on her channel of gear-head Mi-Ya taking off the backplate of her Dean Icon and showing off the batteries she had to cram in for the pickups. She also crammed in some Capacitors wired across each of the new pickups to get her 'tone' Just Right. Mi-Ya is VERY picky about her 'tone'. (BTW - she also has a couple of Star Wars Droids that she assembled herself sitting on that Grand piano 🙂 )

I just love LOVEBITES and can't get enough of them. Their live performances are often "special" like in this one with the intricate piano intro. I'm half expecting to see Miyako with a violin sometime soon. 🤘🤘🤘
No doubt Miyako could slay anything...talkin of violins I would love to see Miyako and Jill from Unlucky Morpheus on the same stage.

Yes, Miyako is a concert level pianist, trained in classical piano since age 3. This song also showcases Asami’s vocals; remember her musical background is R&B, soul and jazz. If you want impressive piano playing, try “Chopin Etude+Swan song” (live). If you want nice vocals, nice piano, nice guitars, then try “Epilogue”. If you want more thrash, try “The Awakening/Hammer of wrath” (live). If you want classic rock, try “Dancing with the devil” (live)

- The Awakening (backing-track intro for encore) / Hammer of Wrath - in your face thrash, it's many ppl's favorite thrash by them
- Raise Some Hell - killer riffs and lots of fun, Midori runs across the stage in her heels while shredding
- M.D.O. live - just a banging metal song; anything that resembles S.O.D. (Stormtroopers of Death, Scott Ian) is worth checking out
So many more power / thrash songs after this with the gallops. They are just brutal when it comes to playing just pure metal. 🐺🦊

The song Miyako was playing on the keyboard is Sergei Rachmaninoff's "Six moments musicaux op16-4". Some of her compositions and arrangements are quoted from Beethoven, Chopin, Dvorak, Rachmaninoff and others.
Since you talkes about the 100.000s of dollars for videos and we wanna see live .. one band where i think its always worth it to watch the videos .. thats Within Temptarion. Not because they are not great live, they are of course also, but their videos are mostly really excellent and worth the watch.
Watched this before, but for some reason didn't leave a comment (sorry). About Miyako's Dean - She changed the stock pickups for Fishman Fluence active pickups. And, there is a video on her Channel where she takes the back plate off and shows how she installed the batteries - and also two Large capacitors (different sizes) across the terminals to adjust the Tone to exactly what she wants. She is a total gearhead, has personally assembled one of the guitars she uses -- and her Dean is beautiful because of the wood grain. The First Thing a guitar she buys has to have is attractive Wood Grain, without it - No Chance. She is also a HUGE Star Wars nerd, has two droids she assembled on her piano - and her dog is named Wampa. 🤘🐺🤘
That opening guitar riff is straight from Beat It by Michael Jackson. Steve Lukather wrote that riff.

I'd love to check the action on it. It's very pretty. I've played 10k guitars and $100 guitars and my favorite so far is a $700 PRS baritone.
Ibanez guy myself. Though I do have one Dean. Dave Mustaine signature Zero. Found it used online for $250. It's not bad for what I paid for it
@@snakewhisperer1 my first guitar was a Peevy Vandenberg I got at a pawn shop. I saved up and got an Ibanez and played them live for almost a decade. One day I showed up to a friends band rehearsal and their guitarist had a PRS and I played Holy Wars flawlessly with it. I'd never been able to do that. I was sold. I've played PRS and Schecter for the last decade.

@@truebrodown My first "brand name" guitar was a Peavey Mystic. PRS are really nice. I'm just addicted to the Floyd Rose/Edge bridges. I do have the same model ESP E-II Horizon the other guitarist, Midori plays.

LOVEBITES! This is the band my friend, one of the best bands I could hear in these forty years of metal. My school is thrash metal, I was a drummer for several bands and recorded some albums. I've listened to all kinds of bands in this life, but I confess, LOVEBITES ripped my soul out! I don't know why, but these girls are not from this planet! Long live the Metal!

She won't part with that guitar! She calls it her "Buddy" She replace the stock pickups with Fishman Hum buckers and replaced the Capacitor for a more bass tone. As mentioned earlier off stage she is a Nerd/Geek

That clown will get no attention from me. He does nothing to promote Lovebites and his channel seems to cater to the Band Maid/anybody but Lovebites crowd.

@@jerryajc I'm not a big fan of his content either and his Discord is insanely toxic. I joined it once, but left quickly. But I still think that people should at least nominate some Lovebites members, even if they won't win.

blue oyster clut, reo speed wagon? blue oyster cult and aerosmith were on bad terms. why does your daughter know 70's bands? CD does not include intro piano performance and short ballad. but add them in and empty daydream becomes a more memorable song. miyako's dean signature guitar is now on sale.

@@truebrodown Haha, i always really had to laugh when she had problems with the asian singers in the "hottest metal singers" videos because they looked too young for her. I don't know how old she actually is, but i just thought : girl have you actually looked into the mirror ? You look even younger 😄😄
