    Thanks for your video. That was very informative and helpful. I'm a Brit and I'm ashamed of Island 4x4 for dropping you in the crap, because they USED to have a good rep a few years ago when I had my previous Land Rovers (2001-2017) I'm commenting in May 2022

      I appreciate the feedback. I never had problems with them before this purchase, so I was a bit shocked when they blew me off. But, oh well, life continues. I hope this video was of some use to you.

      Thank you for the comment. I hope you get a good set from island 4x4, apparently my defect was a fluke- as mentioned in the video I ended up having to order one from Arnott. It did cost me extra, of course, but I got the truck running. I'm glad the video was of good use to you. 😉👍

      It's probably because the rear air bags are crazy simple to change. Seriously, they take no time at all to swap out.

    You got the bottom strut clamp bolts the wrong way round.. the nuts are supposed to be at the front facing side of the clamp.. counter intuitive I know because I would put the bolts the same way you did, but they are supposed to go the opposite way apparently. I've already commented about Island 4x4. They should not have treated you in that fashion.

      @CentTxLiving  2 роки тому

      I appreciate your feedback, and good catch by the way. I actually did that on purpose because I noticed the ice, slush and salt would collect on the front of the strut and I didn't want it to degrade the remaining threads on the bolt after it was mounted. So putting the nut on the back side of the strut actually cut a lot of those exposures down and kept the nut from rusting. Again, excellent observation. 😁👍

    Great explanation!!!
    How are the front air struts holding up? Would you buy the arnotts again?

    • @CentTxLiving
      @CentTxLiving  2 роки тому

      I would actually. Between the Delphi and the Arnotts, the Delphi units came with new shocks, and were a bit more expensive. If the shocks have less than 175k miles, I would say just go with the Arnott bag replacement. If you're in the US that works well because they're made in Florida I believe. Plus, I received great customer service from Arnott, not so much from island 4x4.

      So you just push the air line inside the fitting and not take the fitting off to put air line in?

    • @CentTxLiving
      @CentTxLiving  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, I know that sounds counterproductive, trust me. But when you pull out the plastic guide tab you stuff the airline all the way in till bottoms out and that's it.

    Have you done wheel adjustment aftwr this?
    Tks

    • @CentTxLiving
      @CentTxLiving  Рік тому

      After I replaced the one airbag, no I did not do a wheel alignment check. Simply because the ride height had already been set and the alignment was adjusted at that height, so installing a new airbag does not change your ride height. If you install a new ride height sensor then you will have to readjust.

    Hey I have a 2010 Range Rover hse and the front passenger side was sagging overnight so I checked to see what’s causing the issue and all I was hearing was air coming out the suspension from the fitting tube so I ordered a new set I put the one on the passenger side first and the problem got worst its still leaking but much faster then before ...... I haven’t done the drivers side yet but I think the the tube end has a lil crack on the inside so do u think that I can cut the end of it and reinstall the fitting ?? I need help

    • @CentTxLiving
      @CentTxLiving  3 роки тому +1

      First, you need to discover where it's leaking from, then assess your situation. The inlet fitting that goes into the airbag should be just shoved in there. Do NOT remove the fitting on the new air spring, if you did use the plastic guide it came with to reinstall and restore to original. configuration. Try and isolate the leak from the air spring, the fitting itself, or the line going to it. I'll monitor the thread to help if I can, so please feel free to ask away here.

      @@CentTxLiving so I took off the air spring again today and removed the tube that’s connected to the fitting that goes to the air spring and found that the hose has a play at the end and it’s not straight and solid like it should be so I cut off a lil of the end reinstalled the fitting a connected with the air spring and now it’s not leaking very fast like it was because I couldn’t hear and air hissing coming from the hose like before but it still leaks from the same spot i wish I can contact u over the phone so I can show you because I’m taking everything off a part again tmr .... I really appreciate your help

    Have you had any issues with your rear diff clutch actuator

    • @CentTxLiving
      @CentTxLiving  3 роки тому

      No, but I have heard of that issue being somewhat common. I make it a point to take season roads and use all the terrain response functions about once a month, just to keep them functional. Plus, I use royal purple diff fluid- that seems to have helped me. How's yours?

    • @CentTxLiving
      @CentTxLiving  3 роки тому

      It seems like disabling it would be a short term solution- I honestly don't know. Maybe a good used unit would do? Replacing the rear diff looks pretty straightforward, so it appears that it would be cost effective.
