Which "Glee" moment do YOU think was the most unhinged? Let us know below, and be sure to also check out our video of the Top 10 Songs We're Glad Glee Wasn't Around For - ua-cam.com/video/DGIizkJgiuk/v-deo.html
#5 - I have a burning hatred of the way Lea's song just completely ruins the vibe of "Let's Have a Kiki." They go to all the trouble of recreating the beginning of the video so well, they get Shangela, it's all working, and then bam. "Turkey Lurkey Time" was one of those late-60s, Laugh--In, everything is kooky and psychedelic-type songs. It's not lyrically anything, so the contrast of the two songs is jarring. And the way everyone has to gallop around is just cringey.
Were similar writers on the staff for the Glee episode Blurred Lines and the PowerPuff Girls 2016 episode Somewhere Over Swimgset? I only ask because both episodes are about twerking. Also Quinn giving birth to Bohemian Rhapsody was iconic.
OMG yes! That pissed me off to no end! Honestly, if that happened to me, I would not even come back to Glee Club after my suspension. I'd tell them to pound sand.
The underage girl recovering from an eating disorder was childish for not wanting to go to school in a bikini because an adult male authority figure told her too??? Shue should have been fired for that alone. That was super predatory and should have gotten him investigated if not put on a list
Glee is what happens when no one tells you "No" lmao they just really went for it every single time no one ever said "Do you think this is maybe over the line? Is this a little too ridiculous maybe? Is the sheer magnitude of the fuckery we just filmed going to be so much that it haunts viewers for life?" And because they didn't we get to relive Artie wheeling himself into a pool during a Rihanna number for the aesthetic forever.
If you listen to Kevin and Jenna's Glee recap podcast, Kevin says you can literally see the moment he (as Artie) finally BROKE during "What Does the Fox Say."
The fact that Sue having an entire storage locker turned into a shrine for the glee club and Kurt and Blaine‘s relationship was not on the list tells me you didn’t watch season six lol
i defend the quinn/finn baby plot, because it was part of the glee madness we love so much, the thing is right about middle season 4 things lost control
I'm ready to admit that this show is my guilty pleasure. And this list is why the word 'guilty' is in there. What were the creators thinking with these?
Honestly, Mr. Scheuster's character arch was one of the most disappointing things about the whole show. I was in school studying to be a teacher. while the show had its run, and I hated that they just let his entire character go to waste on these weird, creepy, absolutely pointless and abysmal plot lines. He could have been one of the TV teaching greats like Mr. Feeny. In the end, I thought Beiste should get the best teacher on Glee award. Even Sue ended up having more good teaching moments than Will Scheuster.
I am a high school dance teacher and I found the inappropriate actions of the teacher just part of the fantasy of TV. I also loved the Jesus grilled cheese sandwich episode.
Glee may have been cringy and inappropriate most of the time but I actually thought the Dinosaur Prom was cool and it made me wish my prom theme had been that cool!
For me the most outrageous moment was letting Dianna Agron (Quinn) go after season 3 cause she gave quinn depth as a character. We'll the show was a disaster after season 3, so Ryan Murphy would've regretted.
I loved, LOVED Glee when it was airing. However, after the first Mr. Schuester performance, it was so creepy. I ended up forwarding and skipped most of his solo performance or those that he would be the lead for the rest of the series.
I realised that I couldn't stand Will after he suspended Marley, a teenager, for refusing to wear a seashell bikini for a school performance. He was way out of line, and grossly insensitive, given that she was recovering from an eating disorder. A teacher doesn't have the authority to force a student into something that makes them visibly uncomfortable, and I don't believe that he ever even apologised afterwards.
@@appleridge will actually never said to wear bikini It's Sam who says that he had picked a bikini for her Will was cringe man but he actually says her to respect the assignments and then suspended her
@@prathamsaxena9503 Exactly. Shell bikini is generally not a good idea in high school but that was apparently Sam's idea. My issue always was that she purposefully made/got an outfit that looks like it came straight from a Katy Perry video for California Gurls... She stood out like a sore thumb and didn't show any team spirit. We don't hear about any conflict beforehand, so it seems that she agreed to the bikini and then decided to say "screw all of you". So, in a way, I do think Will has a point...and I don't like agreeing with Will
These unhinged Glee moments on this list are easily divisive because while some of them aren’t all bad, the rest of the moments that are shockingly bad like the “Blurred Lines” moment are so bad that sometimes you can’t help but laugh out of shock & horror rather than being amused. There’s likely gonna be a 2nd list based on this 1. I hope it happens sooner than later.
Top ten times glee characters are the worst 1. Suspend Marley for not wearing a revealing outfit (Mr schue) Honorable mention .frames a teacher for molesting a student (rachel berry) .dropped out of Broadway for funny girl (rachel berry) .ableist comment on artie aka "the boy in a wheelchair" (rachel berry) .pressuring emma to come to Washington (Mr schue) 2. Sends sunshine to a crackhouse (rachel berry) 3. Bullying beist (mr schue and sue sylvester) 4. Lied to finn about whose the father of quinns baby (puck and quinn) 5. The run joey run mv (rachel berry) 6. Slaps Santana (rachel berry) 7. Mr schues spanish cultural performance (Mr schue, puck, finn, artie) 8. Silent protest (rachel berry) 9. Ignoring Marley's feeling of wearing a revealing outfit (see #1 above) (the glee students) 10. Sue sylvesters mean moments
I like how many of these entries, *because* of how unhinged they are, are considered classic Glee moments and are some of the fans' favorites. (Not the Schue stuff or WDTFS, obviously. Those are just terrible.)
I seriously want to know what made Shangela be on this show? She's so much more talented than that. I will keep saying she was snubbed on DWTS forever.
That episode was in season 4, and would have been recorded when the show was at its peak popularity. It was all PR for guests. Could have also been personal connections to cast/crew members.
If we're talking about moments that Mercedes deserved better than, there's an entire episode where she has a crush on Kurt, even though it was obvious to everyone and their mother that he was gay from the first episode.
Marley had the right to refuse to wear a seashell bikini. I hated sam and will for this! They know about Marley's eating disorder and body issues. Also I hated the blurred lines songs and it was the worst performance and number ever!
I would like to know if there are people who consider Mr Schuester a good teacher. He was so... I don't even know how to describe him. And you forgot the time when, after Finn's passing, Kurt gave Santana Finn's jacket and he stole it and then he blamed Puck for doing it.
I think he started out as a good teacher with his heart in the right place, but then the show became about the kids, and his character just completely fell off the bandwagon, getting worse with each season. Once the show started revolving around the kids, his character literally served no purpose. Honestly, it was one of the most disappointing things about the show. Here is this potential to have a truly epic teacher as a role model, and they just turned him into a background character (on his best episodes) and a jerk and a creep (on his worst. Finn actually started following in those footsteps, but then Cory Monteith died, leaving Scheuster to continue on his pointless and terrible teacher journey.
I know that we all have our tastes, we are all unique in our own way, but I will never understand how glee stayed on the air for so many years. I honestly feel that if I was to see it in its entirety, I must have weed on the side I'm serious I feel that to find the closest thing to logic in this series I must be as high as kite. 🤣😂😂
I didn't remember Marley being suspended. Mr. Shue as a teacher was the worst, in that episode with Ricky Martin I was with Santana, she could be teach that class way better then him. Heck, I could and never had one in my life.🤣
The sue Superbass moment was unhinged but Sue was the coach of the cheerios so it made sense that they would be dancing around her! And the performance was good! In the Glee universe this was the most mild moment
I don't know if this has been pointed out or not, but the whole dinosaur prom seems like a reference to one of the live-action Flintstones movies. There's a scene in the first movie -- with John Goodman and Rick Moranis -- where REM performs "Love Shack" at a raging party.
...but here we are discussing what will unarguably be one of the best things that ever happened to TV and pop culture in the 2010's....♥This list seems comprised of things that shouldn't happen at a Catholic school...not a public one. I am here for all of this!
Mr. Schue performing an Elvis song while dressed as a bullfighter, with a student pretending to be a bull no less, and he gets mad at Santana because he figures out that she was the one that went to Figgins about him
I see that you listed super bass as unhinged but not why it was unhinged. "I'm loving you tie... Slicker than the guy with a thing on you eye." Dissing Blane for his fashion and for getting blinded by a rock salt slushy.
Uncalled for and doing too much. They didn't have to go so far. But it was so entertaining 😅😂 I really wish we could afford satellite TV back then coz that was the only way to watch Glee 🤣🤣

Let's talk about peter pan
sue's performance as nicki minaj cured my depression in high school
it caused my depression post-high school
You must've been experiencing minor depression, that's the only thing that makes sense.
Quinn giving birth to Bohemian Rhapsody was Genius!!
Truly iconic
Ew
Artie swinging on a vine in his wheelchair should have made this list. It was such a bizarre moment!
Or when he literally wheels himself into the pool during We Found Love.
The ENTIRETY of Glee was unhinged 😂
What does the fox say was cringe and unhinged , but blurred lines takes the cake BY FAR!
Season 4-6 was like a fever dream written by someone on bath salts
Someone on bath salts who had only seen like a couple episodes of the show
Glee certainly is a masterful parody show. All the characters are practically memorable.
Next time you guys do a Glee list, it should be a countdown of the times Mr Schuester should have gone to jail. There were so many of them!
Episode 1 he frames Finn for selling drugs just to get him into Glee club!
When he did blurred lines in glee club I hated that performance
When he did Toxic with the kids
True 😂
🤭🤭
SUSPENDING MARLEY WAS SO MADDENING LIKE IT IRKS ME TO THIS DAY
OMG yes! That pissed me off to no end! Honestly, if that happened to me, I would not even come back to Glee Club after my suspension. I'd tell them to pound sand.
@@tiffanygray Interesting analogy.
Childish attitude. She totally deserved that.
The underage girl recovering from an eating disorder was childish for not wanting to go to school in a bikini because an adult male authority figure told her too??? Shue should have been fired for that alone. That was super predatory and should have gotten him investigated if not put on a list
That is why Glee is a classic, it give you high while you're not really do drug 😌

Jane Lynch singing Super Bass is one of the best moments of the show!!!!
Agreed!! She was bitchn’🔥
"10 Unhindged Glee moments"
me: "number 1: Rachel Berry's introduction"
The fact that Sue having an entire storage locker turned into a shrine for the glee club and Kurt and Blaine‘s relationship was not on the list tells me you didn’t watch season six lol
That was SUPER disturbing. It made no sense and pretty sick
i defend the quinn/finn baby plot, because it was part of the glee madness we love so much, the thing is right about middle season 4 things lost control
Quinn giving birth to Bohemian Rhapsody was AWESOME, one of the best edits and it matched so well!
Mr schuester is creepier then I remember
Quinn's birth scene combined with Bohemian Rhapsody was scarring. Separately they would've been fine but I was so scared the whole time
Jane Lynch singing Super Baas was the perfect amount of unhinged I needed in life lol
thats why we love glee because its unhinged and crazy when other shows dont even dare
For me, the most unhinged Glee moment was Kurt singing that John Mellencamp song!
Yess him singing Pink Houses
Mr. Shue performing Blurred Lines like that was such a WTF moment. That song, itself is so problematic to begin with.
I'm ready to admit that this show is my guilty pleasure. And this list is why the word 'guilty' is in there. What were the creators thinking with these?
No but Let's Have A Kiki/Turkey Lurkey Time was my dream thanksgiving.
The most unhinged thing on Glee was Mr Schue
4:10 ''it helps it swim faster'' LMFAO
Glee was basically an adult version of Kidz Bop! 🤣
Wait, what? What happened with them?
Honestly, Mr. Scheuster's character arch was one of the most disappointing things about the whole show. I'll say it 'til the day i die: Kiki/TurkeyLurkey is absolutely perfect in every single way and it's absolutely iconic.
How did I become a Gleek? These many years later, I'm baffled.
The whole 'A Little Less Conversation' number should be on the list.
Mr Schue trying to seduce Sue was cringy to me, but Marley being suspended from Glee so soon after finding out she had an ED is disgusting
Fun fact: Jayma Mays (aka Emma) auditioned for Glee with "Touch-A-Touch-A-Touch-A-Touch Me".
Number 2 is something that i can agree on. He really have some valid proves tho. He's right at this
The others are just weird and hilarious 😂😂😂
Glee may have been cringy and inappropriate most of the time but I actually thought the Dinosaur Prom was cool and it made me wish my prom theme had been that cool!
For me the most outrageous moment was letting Dianna Agron (Quinn) go after season 3 cause she gave quinn depth as a character.
We'll the show was a disaster after season 3, so Ryan Murphy would've regretted.
Agreed. That’s why they kept Lea Michele for so long.🐸☕️
Number 7 was my rage quitting moment on the show 🙄
fr. how did they all forget she’s recovering from an ed 😤
I loved, LOVED Glee when it was airing. However, after the first Mr. Schuester performance, it was so creepy. I ended up forwarding and skipped most of his solo performance or those that he would be the lead for the rest of the series.

I agree about bikini but she should had wore something Gaga style
You can't stand out when you are in team
Yes she could have worn a gaga outfit but will wanted it to be the bikini. That is beyond cringry

I liked "Glee" and thought I'd seen all episodes.....but I didn't recognize any of these! My local station must have preempted them or something.
These were all great performances, even if they weren’t peoples cup of tea.
It's kind of funny how the show started off as satire and the later seasons became the very thing it was satirising.
This is the funniest countdown ever 😂😂
I like how many of these entries, *because* of how unhinged they are, are considered classic Glee moments and are some of the fans' favorites. (Not the Schue stuff or WDTFS, obviously. Those are just terrible.)
Ok but what part of glee wasn't unhinged, honestly it's the best part of the show
Rachel slapping Santana in Frenemies
This show is crazy and owns it

I think if you are in team you should respect the assignments
And she could have wore Meat dress
There's a reason they released Let's Have A Kiki by itself in addition to the mashup version.
Glee is crazy weird and makes no sense i love it so freaking much
Mr Schue suspending Marley is my villain origin story

Seasons 2-6 were all unhinged moments....xD
Sue’s superbass was iconic!
12:06 and why did it sound so good? Why was it lined up so nicely? Jesus Christ
to be fair, the nicki minaj performance is a reference to the super bass music video. lol
I laughed way too much lol! 😂😂😂
How did I love that show so much ? Too much cringe horrible moments. That Christmas épisode... god.
The sue Superbass moment was unhinged but Sue was the coach of the cheerios so it made sense that they would be dancing around her! And the performance was good! In the Glee universe this was the most mild moment
Love how much of this list has Mr Schue, cause 100%
Sue-per Bass is God's gift to humanity.

cant believe i was a fan of this show lol
Glee got more unhinged as it as it went
In defense of the dinosaur prom, it was Britney’s idea. What did you expect? Not hate to Britney btw
Oh I loved the let’s have a Kiki and it was so cool at the time, I went to a party where some people knew the choreography to it (like the video).
When I was a kid I thought the what does the fox says puppet scene was funny now that I'm a teen I find it creepy.
But I loved Emma's version of Toucha toucha toucha touch me.
but it's glee, what did you expect... nothing ever makes sense AND WE LOVE IT!!!

Mr. Schue performing an Elvis song while dressed as a bullfighter, with a student pretending to be a bull no less, and he gets mad at Santana because he figures out that she was the one that went to Figgins about him
No one will ever convince me that glee was bad, everything about this was iconic
11:20 I mean to defend him here it was Ken's wish that this song was performed at his wedding and Will probably didn't like this song as well
Grilled Cheesus was my favorite episode lol
2:46 WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT HOW SUE IS SO TALL-
Just Ten?
The most unhinged thing from GLEE, is Blaine's existence.
Not the whole Blaine's "I NEED HAIRGEL TO LIVE!" ? Really

The dinosaur's prom was wonderful
I loved Glee! Lollllllllllllollll. They were so very talented. BTW, I couldn't find anything cringy in what you outlined.
Sex scenes intermingling students and adults is soooooo uncomfortable
I think the entire show was unhinged
