I think it's ok they changed what Rachel's dads looked like because Jeff Goldblum and Brian Stokes Mitchell were great with perfect chemistry and humor. A plot hole that bugs me for some reason is that in season 4 sectionals the new directions got disclofied for stopping mid performance and the warbler won but they used performance enhancing drugs so they got disclofied so wouldnt that make the 3rd team the winners?🤷🏻♀️

Sam had a confusing hair backstory too. In season 2 he said he bleached his hair blonde yet in a later season when they did a flash with him as a kid he had blonde hair. So that was pretty confusing

In fairness to the writers with regards to Artie's calendrical age and which Grade (years) he should be in at School, one of two scenarios could have happened. Either; Scenario 1; He was in a coma for a couple of weeks or months after the accident and his parents decided it was best he be kept back a year so he could catch up. Or Scenario 2; for a while after the accident he did have some movement in the lower body, so his parents got him to do physiotherapy. Unfortunately for some reason the neurologists can't explain not only does the physio not work but also the little movement Artie did have also vanished at around the same time he started going back to school. Now because he'd been having daily physio which wiped him out it was suggested (by the school authorities) that so he could catch up on the school he missed he should be held back a year

Another mistake Glee made was when Rachel said her dad's screen for sergeants before having her, but when we met Shelby, she said she was pregnant and answered an ad. For the rest of the season/series, they acted like Shelby gave Rachel up when that's not how sergeancy works.

Rachel's two dads def is my #1. But the way they were cast later in season 3 makes so much more sense than season 1. They're more attractive and actually look like a couple. Ryder rejoining Glee club in Season 5 without explanation was due to a planned storyline that had to be dropped last minute after Cory Monteith's passing. Finn was supposed to be the one to convince Ryder to return to New Directions but sadly this never became a reality and with the show having to address Finn's passing early on this plot for Ryder seemed insignificant.
Well...we couldn't hear Sugar singing really during Survivor/I Will Survive. All you hear is her saying "what" on beat 2. They cold have told her to just move her mouth. But also Shelby was her vocal coach though....
Being a "junior member" of a society doesn't always mean you're in the junior class. At my school, being a junior member meant you were either freshman or sophomore. A senior member member was a junior or a senior. It was just a distinction between lowerclassmen and upperclassmen.
I think I can explain Artie's age situation. Let's say he was also born the same month and day as Kevin McHale (June 14th), since Chris Colfer and Kurt Hummel canonically had the same birthday, just different years. Let's also follow what they made his age to be: a junior in season 3 (17 years old). I'm assuming he's one of the older ones in his year but he still makes the age range. That means he would be a 15-year old freshman in season 1 which commenced year 2009. If you subtract his age from the year, his birth date would be June 14, 1994. From what was revealed in the series, he got on an accident when he was 8 years old, which I would presume would be the latter half of the year 2002 (post-birthday). Then, the episode where it was addressed was called 'Dream On' and it aired May 18, 2010, which was still part of the 2009-2010 academic year. From the day of his accident in 2002 to May 18, 2010, there would at most be 7 years and 11 months, which he decided to round up to 8 years. If the accident happened in 2003, he might have just counted the number of years involved until the present which is also eight (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010). I know it's a stretch of an explanation, but it actually makes sense still.
Seriously!! The age back track happened because the creators didn't know if the show would go beyond 3 years. Then it did, and they needed a couple of characters to anchor the viewers to the high school as they tried to bring in new cast members. We could have followed everyone to New York, but what would Will, Emma and Sue do (other than get married and be vanquished, respectively)? Ideally, if we loved Kitty as much as Quinn, this continual handing of the baton of new talent would have gone on for a decade. But the writing dropped, and we got episodes about puppets instead.

Edit also for Artie it depends on when his birthday is because if he just missed the cut of day and Tina could have been rounding up and he could still be in the same grade as her

There could be a number of reasons Artie is a junior and not a seniyin season 2. His birthday could come late in the year or sonce he mentioned about being in a car accident je could have missed a year and had to make it up later depending on how bad the car accident was. Some schools allow you to go to school until your 21 if you have missing credits needed for college
Artie and Blaine can easily be explained, for one Artie could’ve spent a lot of time in the hospital after the accident and also a while getting used to his wheelchair so he could’ve been held back. Then Blaine mentioned he had been gay bashed and transferred to Dalton so there could’ve have been a mistake with the transfer papers and therefore had to repeat his freshman year

Another mistake Glee made was when Rachel said her dad's screen for sergeants before having her, but when we met Shelby, she said she was pregnant and answered an ad. For the rest of the season/series, they acted like Shelby gave Rachel up when that's not how sergeancy works.

I am left handed but do all of those things left handed. I am however right handed when it comes to throwing and am predominantly right handed in every other aspect. Just goes to show the oddity that is cross dominance

I feel like Sue's first hair story was genuine because we did not know about her sister, yet, and knowing now, that seems more plausible. Remember that Sue was always a gym teacher, so she would not have been wearing business suits or “girly” attire. I think she was just entertaining Becky.

Kurt and Artie are believed to both have been held back a year in school. Kurt is the oldest of the ND being born in may 1993, which we see on his NYADA application. Artie could have been held back because of his accident, and Kurt could have been from his mothers death, he talks about it a little and it seems like he fell into a bit of a depression and could have slipped in his school work

Rachel's two dads def is my #1. But the way they were cast later in season 3 makes so much more sense than season 1. They're more attractive and actually look like a couple. Who the hell picked the first two on the locker?? #6 cracked me up! Finn in two places at once 😂 You're def right about Sue's hair! I forgot about that. Quinn also mentioned in the season finale of season 2 that she had a secret plan regarding Finn and we never saw what that was.

I always figured that Blaine calling him self a jr member was not saying the grade he was in but like being a younger member not yet a sr member of the club as in someone who has had more experience(such as a jr or sr)

Yup junior could mean a member with less time in the group. A senior could technically be a junior member if they joined the group their senior year.

The point about Artie is true, but it's possible that he was held back a year because of the accident... I have a good friend that has dealt with cerebral palsy all of his life an was held back twice because of medical reasons.....
I always thought the plot holes in Glee were done on purpose. And Mike (Chang) couldn't sing in early episodes either.

Ryder rejoining Glee club in Season 5 without explanation was due to a planned storyline that had to be dropped last minute after Cory Monteith's passing. Finn was supposed to be the one to convince Ryder to return to New Directions but sadly this never became a reality and with the show having to address Finn's passing early on this plot for Ryder seemed insignificant.
Everything that changed about Sue always just seemed like a Sue thing. That she would change stories etc just to add to her allure and drama
Well...we couldn't hear Sugar singing really during Survivor/I Will Survive. All you hear is her saying "what" on beat 2. They cold have told her to just move her mouth. But also Shelby was her vocal coach though....

Being a "junior member" of a society doesn't always mean you're in the junior class. At my school, being a junior member meant you were either freshman or sophomore. A senior member member was a junior or a senior. It was just a distinction between lowerclassmen and upperclassmen.

I think I can explain Artie's age situation. Let's say he was also born the same month and day as Kevin McHale (June 14th), since Chris Colfer and Kurt Hummel canonically had the same birthday, just different years. Let's also follow what they made his age to be: a junior in season 3 (17 years old). I'm assuming he's one of the older ones in his year but he still makes the age range. That means he would be a 15-year old freshman in season 1 which commenced year 2009. If you subtract his age from the year, his birth date would be June 14, 1994.
From what was revealed in the series, he got on an accident when he was 8 years old, which I would presume would be the latter half of the year 2002 (post-birthday). Then, the episode where it was addressed was called 'Dream On' and it aired May 18, 2010, which was still part of the 2009-2010 academic year. From the day of his accident in 2002 to May 18, 2010, there would at most be 7 years and 11 months, which he decided to round up to 8 years. If the accident happened in 2003, he might have just counted the number of years involved until the present which is also eight (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010). I know it's a stretch of an explanation, but it actually makes sense still.
I think Number 4 was less calling him a junior not as a grade, but as more of like one of the younger grades, like Junior Varsity vs Varsity?
Seriously!! The age back track happened because the creators didn't know if the show would go beyond 3 years. Then it did, and they needed a couple of characters to anchor the viewers to the high school as they tried to bring in new cast members. We could have followed everyone to New York, but what would Will, Emma and Sue do (other than get married and be vanquished, respectively)?
Ideally, if we loved Kitty as much as Quinn, this continual handing of the baton of new talent would have gone on for a decade. But the writing dropped, and we got episodes about puppets instead.

There could be a number of reasons Artie is a junior and not a seniyin season 2. His birthday could come late in the year or sonce he mentioned about being in a car accident je could have missed a year and had to make it up later depending on how bad the car accident was. Some schools allow you to go to school until your 21 if you have missing credits needed for college
Artie and Blaine can easily be explained, for one Artie could’ve spent a lot of time in the hospital after the accident and also a while getting used to his wheelchair so he could’ve been held back. Then Blaine mentioned he had been gay bashed and transferred to Dalton so there could’ve have been a mistake with the transfer papers and therefore had to repeat his freshman year
Maybe Ryder reconsidered quitting Glee and decided not to quit. As you said he could have made up with Unique behind the scenes.

They also screwed up Sam's age. Personally everything after season 3 was a hot mess and constantly changed up to sought whatever dumb plot they had going on that week. Including s4 Sam forgetting he dated Mercedes, then s5 Sam forgetting he dated Brittany. Hot mess all the time

Blaine being a junior member of the Warblers did not mean he was a junior. For a matter of fact, he was a sophomore...established by one of the junior Warblers still being at Dalton as a senior when Blaine was a junior. Sugar not being able to sing was a continuous joke throughout her time on Glee, including Santana & Britt's (and Kurt & Blaine's) wedding. FTR, Mercedes never had a solo in any of the competitions.
Teenagers ages and grades are always confusing like Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries, Riverdale etc. In PLL they're supposed to be 16 which means they would be on 10th or 11th grade but, they don't graduate till season 4 and Elena, Bonnie and Caroline are supposed to be 17 which would make them a 11th or 12th grader but, they don't graduate till season 4 and Riverdale's Archie, Jughead, Betty, Veronica and Cheryl are all supposed to be 16 years old which means they would be in 10th or 11th grade but, don't graduate till season 4 so, I feel like alot of shows do that
