@Matilda Persson-Berg That is an interesting lens to put those rationals through, I just don't know that it has enough in universe evidence to back it up. If the writers had intended that, there are ways to have made it more explicit.

Well , i don't remember the episode but it was told that April Rhodes sponsored it, And it was big problem when Will used all that money... So i can't agree it was plothole
Honestly, this actually happens in real life esp in third world countries. We have here freshly graduated bio majors but they were forced to take completely different subjects bcos the school system sUCKS
I kept thinking "Maybe it's cause i live in the South and this takes place in Ohio but. . .is wearing your cheerleader outfit all the time a norm in other parts of the country??" Even when they were in Chicago for season 3 nationals, Santana and Brittany still had on those uniforms.
I was a cheerleader in high school and we only wore our uniforms during football season (as home games were every other Friday for varsity, Thursday for JV and Wednesday for Freshman). During football season we wore other cheer stuff (shirts, etc..).
Yep, we all knew it was ridiculous and cheesy, but we still tuned in every week to check out which popular songs they'd cover, and we were never disappointed with the result!🎊
Collette I always kinda thought it might’ve been a result of her losing Finn and being grief-stricken, but the writers certainly did a terrible job explaining it if it was the case.
Collette I think the dumbest thing about Glee was the whole season 6! The writers completely lost it I mean the last two seasons were ridiculous. I wonder what it would have been if only Cory Monteith hadn’t passed away...
I have a theory about the budget one. Most of the performances didn’t take place in real life, they were actually just imagined by the students as they were singing. This could also be applied to the backup dancers.
I hated that, Sam is my favorite character and at first he was a nice, quiet guy who just was trying to be at the top by being popular. Then he grew up and he was way more mature in Season 3 and still a really nice guy. Then out of nowhere in Season 4 and forward they made him super dumb, like a male version of Brittany.
I hated that too, Sam was great in season 2 , cute and a little nayve, but in season 4 he Acted liked he was hit in the head, his character could have a Lot of great storylines but they used for cheap jokes
Tara Dikov He blackmailed Finn, Suspended Marley for daring to have a problem with wearing a bikini when she was recovering from a eating disorder, Stood Sue up on a date, sang a song about rape, and got really pisses like half of the time someone dared to disagrees with him. Daughter Of Wisdom THANK YOU! any time i try to mention that he was genuinely horrible to anyone who’s seen the show, they always say “no he was so great” like ????
Coach Beiste being transgender. A big part of his character was that he was a very unfeminine woman, but he learned to love himself as he was. Then they threw his transition into the last season, completely getting rid of his previous development. It almost felt like the show was saying that if you're not feminine enough as a woman, you should be a man. It made very little sense.
YES THANK YOU! Considering how womanly Cooter made him feel, you wonder if Cooter beating the shit out of him beat the feminine side out of him, if not numbed him to it
@@rihannadittman4829 Of course it was, it's Kurt and Blaine we're talking about, they're cute about everything, but circumstances were more than weird to say the least
Well that happened in my school. A girl was dating a twin and then she broke up with him a suddenly she started dating his brother and then she broke up with him too and now her best friend is dating the second twin she dated before and they all still being really good friends
Most of the performances are imagined, thats why there are random backup dances. On christmas, Sue gave Marley’s mom a bunch of money, thats why she started dressing better. Sue wasnt fired because she was blackmailing figgins.
Also to add I believe The whole show was witnessed through the kids POV. Even the Sue parts. As kids we imagine things much more dramatic than they actually are. I wonder what the reception would have been if everyone went into that mindset
Yeah but after the FIRST blackmailling she was not fired while after Figgins said she has nothing on him she was assaulting students and she ravaged my office.
I feel like the whole thing of Brittany becoming a genius was thrown in last minute because the writers had no other way of letting her character go after Heather Morris became pregnant
how about the fact that the glee club are so hated until they do those assembly performances, after which they just go back to getting slushied like ok
well when that happened in season 1 they easily managed it. Rachel sang one of my favorite performances of her which was Don't Rain On My Parade. I'm sry, the way she sang it, she'd won nationals by herself XD. But yeah I mean the point of the show is not to think about this kind of stuff. It's to enjoy the performances, to reach out to people, to change us, to adress important issues and to make it the Lea michele and Darren Criss Show. I've now noticed how Blaine has a solo every episode. He's really the new Rachel XD.
How about the fact that they don’t actually practice their numbers!!!!!!! Like sorry any type of arts class does the same set list everyday. Like that always confused me
the glee club got alot of the money from the April rose budget and from wills pocket the real question is why they left their big performances for themselves instead of for compitions, if they the did umbrella/singing in the rain for nationals without a doubt they would of won
I feel like special effects like that probably wouldn’t of been allowed or even if they were they would be looked down upon by judges because it draws away from the singing and actual dancing which is the point of a glee competition no other teams used effects like that either for their competition performances.
cora weir yes, instead of the stupid notion of “we should do original songs” like, or you should have good performances and then the song choice takes a back seat
So... Am I the only one who saw the dance sequences and over the top performances as sort of "dream sequences" That they did sing in front of the group, but what we saw was how they wanted it to be
@@nicii179 The characters often talked about the performances and sometimes even making fun of the absurdity of them. Sue, especially, often remarked about some performances being over the top, too expensive and simply unrealistic. The show even tried to explain them as being produced by the AV club, or showing that the characters themselves put the costumes and props together, etc.
LivingThroughLove same. Like in a musical when people burst out singing and back up dancers come out of no where. It’s for production value. Not realism lol
I actually like both shows but both are unusual to say the least. In reality, riverdale is so odd because 17 year olds aren’t usually business people or mobsters / gang lords. Not to mention the students who are actual detectives 😂
The backup dancers are imagined like 90% of the time and when they arent their dancing with glee club members who are considered popular like Quinn, Santanna and Brittany
My thought exactly. To me most of these performance were just enhanced in their own head, like the dancers and the lighting in I Wanna Dance with Somebody. To me, it was sort of obvious that she was actually dancing alone in the usual Glee class...

This list also misses the fact that the Glee club kids were brutally and physically bullied, and no teacher that wants to keep their job would ever allow such obvious bullying to continue. It'd be one thing if it was sneaky, but they all know about it. Even Mr. Schuster knows about it and he does nothing! It really pisses me off as a teacher to see the show set him up as some sort of incredible teacher. He's legitimately an awful teacher. I'm pretty sure there is even an episode where it turns out he can't even speak Spanish, even though supposed to be teaching it.
Yes! It always drove me crazy that the kid from the rival glee club that threw acid in Blaine's face didn't get in more trouble! WTF, that was assault with a deadly weapon. He should have gone to jail.
Mr. Schuster was a trash teacher and the fact that he won TOY was ridiculous. He was a bad mentor and he was even worse when it came to the curriculum, standards, and academics. But yea we'll give him an award mainly because the Glee Club won Nationals.
It's not that unrealistic, actually. At my old high school (my siblings go there now) a lot of the teachers were/are friends with the popular kids and not only did they turn a blind eye to the bullying, they often joined in. They just never left the high school mindset.
She felt the baby was the only thing keeping them together so dragging out the pregnancy until she either got Quinn's kid or was discovered was her only option to keep them together for as long as possible.
Yeah but a miscarriage would've kept Will around at least long enough to try again or to try artificial insemination. I mean. Who would leave a woman who just lost her baby?
@@WenzelSays She wouldnt have been able to fake a miscarriage until it was actually time to have the baby, which would have been months of pretending to be pregnant, and will figured out it was fake before she had the chance
We also have real life examples of people faking pregnancies. They either kill a pregnant woman and cut out her fetus, steal a kid, or lie and say the baby "died." It's not that unrealistic.
The absurd storylines were the best part of Glee. Nobody cared about the storylines. We just loved the absurdity because it was a breathe of fresh air for a teen show. I know it should have lasted for 4 seasons only but whatever. We just enjoyed these weird friends go through funny and serious shit together. Glee was a fantasy-musical show imo. Not a dramedy.
Matt Göktuğ Sarı I started watching because it was like a parody of a teen show. And the first season was exactly that. I guess most ppl didn’t get it and they also changed a lot during next seasons
Kmitsu 23 sugar was also in episode 8 of season 6. I think both actors just couldn’t return to season 5 for certain things as well as some episodes of season 4
I think it's ease to figure that out. Marley's mom could get a better job with Sue's recommendation, so Marley would be transferred too just like she was before going to McKinley, Ryder could be transferred to a school that could help him with his special education needs also with Sue's recommendation. As for Jake, I can't think about a *real* reason, but sue did some crazy things in the show and surprisingly had the support of Lima's population, so she could pull some strings just to prove to glee kids she could separate them

Yeah, since the writers didn't know what to do after the main characters graduated, they suddenly decided that every character whose grade was never EXPLICITLY stated would suddenly be a junior in season 3. It was really lazy and made no sense. I could accept that Tina was younger, but Sam and Artie were clearly always the same age as the others, and Blaine was originally written as older than Kurt.
@@blayke.6488 That would be more likely if he was transferring from public school to private school because private can be more rigorous and therefore he may not be up to speed for a private school but if anything it should have accelerated him a grade.
It is quite common for students to have crushes on their teachers. But it made no sense for Rachel to be the one crushing on Mr. Schue. She was in love with Finn the whole time. In fact, she went right back to crushing on Finn in the very next episode, like her crush on Mr. Schuester never happened.
For some reason, all the high school relationships also worked out and ended in marriage. For most characters, those were their first boyfriends/girlfriends and they just ended up marrying them. That seems just a little odd to me.
I remember an episode where they wrote in some dialogue to kinda poke fun at the dancers/musicians coming in. It went something like, “Oh, that’s Bob at the piano. He just kinda ‘appears’ when we need him.”
hahaha it’s usually the backup dancers that just appear, brad the piano player is kinda always there and so is the jazz band who r always the musicians
Omg is it that the time when Rachel and Shelby sang a duet and Rachel was like ‘oh he’s always just around’ and when Santana (when she sang Songbird) said that ‘he (Brad) is just furniture’ lmaooo
The whole show catered to Rachel and everything about her. They really missed a lot of chances to show off the other characters. I love the show but I always hated how they regulated Mercedes to the background although she was just as talented as Rachel and Santana.
Yep. Even though I saw most of the seasons I started to hate it because it was more ‘The Rachel Berry’-show than glee. Besides - if they wanted to end it, season 3/4 would have been great, since most of them are done with high school and it would have been a ‘logical’ ending.
Because Rachel was the main character along with Schuster it's explained in the script from the first season Rachel and will would be the main characters the other would be supportive or side characters
A couple other dumb things - artie getting the things to help him walk for Christmas then never using them - Krafosky transferring to another school out of no where - Quinn having “big plans” for new york but no doing anything - Rachel not mentioning finn at her speech - emma marrying ken - the school cheering the glee club for some performances but then hating them other times - Pucks being on parole and then suddenly being done with it - glee trusting jesse to help them - figgins thinking tina is a vampire - Sue going after the glee club after they help her constantly
Yes, I always thought it was weird how the Glee Club was considered to be something that "losers" do, but whenever they performed at rallies or ceremonies, the crowd seemed to adore them!😮
I know there was a reason behind karofsky transferring I don't remember tho. And I'm pretty sure that terry threatened Emma or something so she married ken.
tina says that artie’s re-walk machine broke the day after he got it. karofsky transferred because he “wanted to have a normal senior year without hearing rumors” about himself. emma’s idea of her marriage with ken was literally to not see him outside of school, and for no one else to know when she agreed. she was doing it to try and prove to herself she could be interested in someone other than will
I think it's class status, like many things in the show, has a questionable relationship with reality. Also, many kids on sports teams miss class for practices and games and stuff. So it's like that.
And she brings the school alot of money.and good press Administrators overlook alot if they think you're doing more good for the place than not. (At my job I get away with not being in uniform because I'm great at getting people to sign up for our membership and buy extra product.)
I absolutely LOATHED coach Beiste's transgender storyline. It felt so fake and forced, as if they had to do it no matter what. But Terri's actually makes sense, this has actually happened a number of times.
Gaby Champion that storyline made absolutely no sense... especially since she talks to Will a lot during the first few seasons about wanting to “feel like a girl” when it comes to relationships.
Can we talk about how Beiste being transgender went against everything her character stood for? It’s like the writers thought a brawny straight woman isn’t allowed to exist. He rather often spoke about feeling womanly. And then Cooter beat the shit out of him, as if numbing her of her femininity
Scott Sandler i read some where that she went through her surgery when the show was on hiatus, that storyline was very good in my opinion cause it opened many topics of conversations. But you are right on the character thing
@@chrisworld1064 I think they still could have incorporated a storyline about someone transitioning without completely disregarding an entire character arc. In season two there is an entire episode based around how beist is all tough on the outside but soft and girly on the inside. Plus they totally nerfed Uniques character in the fifth and sixth season they could have gone through the transition process with her.
They sing perfect without training or working for a song, and believe me, it needs WEEKS to learn a song, learn the choreography, bring the vocals and the instruments together... and you still have to train more before it is perfect.
That was probably the most unrealistic thing. I'm going to go to a major competition with a song I learned this week. Um, no. I understand why the showrunners didn't do it realistically, because then you'd see them singing and dancing to the same handful of songs all season, but it then begs the question how diagetic are all these songs that they aren't explicitly practicing for sectionals/Regionals/Nationals?
Mara W. yeah lmao although the “and that’s what you missed on glee” dude mentions once that new directions aren’t ready and they’re just gonna end up performing something they’ve learned the day before lol I mean Domnoidragon LMAOO brad the piano player has a line that says “they say hit it and you’re just supposed to know which song they’re gonna sing” I mean, I love how even glee characters know how ridiculous the show is sometimes😂 I think it’s Sue who says something about a private magical jet they use to keep coming and going from nyc to ohio, or something like that. Yeah the majority of the time it is in their imagination because they all want to be accepted and to do large scale productions like that, but when the dancers are in Cheerio uniforms it is just the Cheerios doing a favor for the Unholy Trinity and since they are good cheerleaders they are also extremely good dancers.
the backup dancers are part of their imaginative subtext type monologue things in their head. like you don't think kurt and them actually sing in the hallways do you? no it's what they imagine.
A lot of time the backup dancers were the Cheerios and could be counted on to join in because they were asked by the Unholy Trinity. Other times the drama students could be asked also
Right the only timed there actually sort of singing in the Hall is when they go into the choir room in the middle of the song but when that happens where does the music come from I can only think of one performance and that was I kissed a girl in season three
I just finished watching Glee. I'm thinking, "What if WatchMojo made a list about the absurdities in the show? Well I mean it ended in 2015 I don't think they're going to anymore" but here it is.
Like the time Marley got suspended for not doing a lady gaga costume. Taking her out of one performance is fine but she really had to be suspended? Plus, Marley got hate for her eating disorder faint? A little understanding but kitty didnt get any hate for getting Marley to be sick
Nor has it made sense that Rachel after a year in NY has already managed to be in a Broadway play, AS A PROTAGONIST and as if that were not already forced, in FUNNY GIRL! Please, a little realism, during the show we saw more talented people and they don't get those opportunities get stuck in Lima (Jesse, who couldn't even enter Nyada, and won more nationals than Rachel, being the leader of VA, Harmony, who has a much more advanced vocal range than Rachel's and even she recognized him, Rory also had a lot of talent wasted by the Show) I don't think Rachel was given all the opportunities just because she´s talent, but it was she is the protagonist and was convenient for the plot. Very Disney

What saddens me the most is what they did to Sam’s character.. He’s my favorite person of all time, and they made him SO dumb for no reason, and completely forgot about him. His dyslexia for example. Ryder’s whole storyline could have been Sam, we didn’t need a new character. This makes me SO MAD. Such an underrated character.
Also-- Mike suddenly being able to sing. Because he "practiced" and now he's just as fantastic as the rest? COACH BEISTE'S TRANSGENDERISM. I have nothing against trans people, but the show completely ruined Beiste's character development by throwing in this random thing because they wanted to show more diversity. What I loved about Beiste was that she wasn't feminine, but she was still very much a woman. They completely destroyed that unique message by making the masculine woman want to become a man. Noooooooo!
Agreed. It was great to have trans representation. However, it was AMAZING (!) to allow a nontraditonally feminine ciswoman to simply be seen as a woman.
cnashford2 Yeah, it was completely out of left field for Beiste. She had a whole plot about being a woman despite not looking traditionally feminine. I wish they’d gone with Unique instead of dropping her character.
I'm also confused I'm not a homophobe but how is Santana the only lesbian girl??? But 2 transgender people like what? And gay people in each season and Santana dated like every boy in the school
And I always wondered how Brittany remembered all the dance moves and lyrics as she seemed so dumb. Overall her character made no sense most of the time xD
That's why her being a genius makes sense. Also people are good at different things and intelligence is subjective. Luna lovegood is a ravenclaw afterall
You definitely got #1 right. Something I thought should have been on the list was how the older glee members could regularly fly from places like New York City back to Lima on a moments notice. Aren't people supposed to be broke and busy at all times in college or was it just everyone I knew?
i live an hour away from nyc and people around here will drive to ohio no problem, it’s inconvenient but if you need to isn’t that big a deal it really just depends how deep into ohio lima was supposed to be
Selene MacLeod oof, most places from where i am only take 4-6 hours. taking a train still seems reasonable to me though, as the other commenter mentioned
Brittany going to MIT was because Heather morris was on maternity leave... the genius plot was ridic but so was glee, but i do remember being happy that the writers DID explain her absence which you can't say for a lot of characters lol. The most absurd thing glee ever did What The Fox Say
1. Mr. Schu somehow keeping his job after the several fireable offenses 2. Sue never getting fired 3. The Glee clubs budget, was OUTRAGEOUS. They literally recreated a Rihanna music video
What about the fact that students can easily transfer schools at any time? Transferring from a private school like Dalton to a public school like McKinley is not an easy process.
My favorite, or perhaps least favorite, absurd thing about the show was that new characters would be introduced, become major players for several episodes, complete with backstory and interaction with others, and then one day just vanish without explanation. Everyone in the cast would then continue on never mentioning them again, as if they never existed. Wha--?!
@@savannahphillips5017 Sugar never disappeared she was still in the Glee Club the writers just shoved her character into the background once her storyline finished but in the wide shots of the club she is still there just like there are some extras in the club that we never hear from, she exists but just doesn't have a story worth telling.
Nathaniel Dumas like joe(kid with dreads) his romance with Quinn was completely ignored?? And Rory (Irish) he just “got deported” unique was the center of a few episodes but then wasn’t really mentioned. Also Marley, Ryder and jake barely had any time on the show even though they were somewhat major characters and they just got transferred bcs of glee club.?
Marcella Liddiard and they have costumes from the prev years. Also it’s noticeable that they aren’t always perfectly matched, it’s like they are all supposed to bring a black dress from home, or a red shirt and jeans from their homes so the kids don’t always have the exact same clothes and it doesn’t cost money to look on theme
Like she was always portrayed as being fairly intelligent, but like in a Luna Love good way. And she's a fantastic dancer, you need a certain amount of natural math ability to make up your own choreography and teach it. And they didn't bring it in like she suddenly got a perfect score on the SATs but that she failed them and someone happened to notice that her unconscious scribbles were amazing. I think that's actually pretty realistic. And shows a failure of public education for not noticing it sooner. Cuz it had to have happened before in math classes but she was probably ignored/overlooked due to being a pretty blond female who already had a "dumb blonde" label
Yeah, and it kinda theoretically made sense. It wasn't that she was dumb, her brain just worked differently than others and she had an active imagination.
I'm surprised the slushies isn't on the list. The fact the school has them is a little weird. That people could throw them at people and NO one get in trouble is absurd. At a minimum the Janitor would complain about cleaning up the mess. Little alone the bullying, damage to school property, and damage done to the students.
If you think the student-teacher relationships weren't realistic, you obviously weren't in band/choir. Many public school systems see students in the fine arts paired with the same teacher or group of teachers for upwards of 6 years, in many situations that call for greater trust than academic teachers normally see. Sports people can back me up on this - when it comes to your long-standing instructors, you're not a student, and they're not your teacher. It's cliche to say, but you really do feel more like family by the end of it.
A) people ignore alot when they have a crush and b) just cuz he fit certain stereotypes doesn't mean anything. He hadn't "come out" yet so basically everyone was being super homophobic in their assumptions (even if their assumptions were spot on) don't judge a 15 year old for not having preconceived notions about one of the few people who treated her well and was basically her only friend. 🌻😀
Yh I felt the same but Mercedes had never really liked a boy as much as she liked Kurt, so she suddenly had a crush on him and ignored everythign else.
I think it was pretty obvious that the production value on their performances were metaphorical picturing how they were feeling when performing like were on an actual Broadway stage
Yeah, the show was getting messy but it was due to some of the cast. Regulars who were made recurring made other work commitments and couldn't come back, Cory had to go to rehab so his character had to become absent one way or another, and Heather Morris becoming pregnant.
they started going downhill after the infamous break up where blaine once again played the victim and brittana broke up. It went even more downhill with that performance, for sure. What made it go even more downhill was the frenemies freaking episode. Don't get me wrong, the performances were to die for but RM had no right to split up Santana and Rachel as friends like that.
My biggest thing was Artie! In season 1 his dad takes care of him and when he describes the accident, his mom was the one driving and she died during the accident. Then all of a sudden is season 5, he tells Kittie that he is upset because he got accepted to film school but couldn't go because his mom was freaking out about him going alone and she's taken care of him his whole life, and then we meet his mom. Writers don't think we pay attention, but we do!

Honestly like I thought I was the only one who found that strange...
I kept thinking "Maybe it's cause i live in the South and this takes place in Ohio but. . .is wearing your cheerleader outfit all the time a norm in other parts of the country??" Even when they were in Chicago for season 3 nationals, Santana and Brittany still had on those uniforms.
I know, I always found it odd that they constantly donned their uniforms, even though most cheerleaders only wear them on game days.
I was a cheerleader in high school and we only wore our uniforms during football season (as home games were every other Friday for varsity, Thursday for JV and Wednesday for Freshman). During football season we wore other cheer stuff (shirts, etc..).

Rachel's show was the dumbest thing the show ever did ever. Like-- what! SHE. DROPPED. HER. DREAM. FOR. NO. REASON.
Collette I always kinda thought it might’ve been a result of her losing Finn and being grief-stricken, but the writers certainly did a terrible job explaining it if it was the case.

the dumbest thing the show ever did was create blainofsky
Collette I think the dumbest thing about Glee was the whole season 6! The writers completely lost it I mean the last two seasons were ridiculous. I wonder what it would have been if only Cory Monteith hadn’t passed away...

Jesse suddenly being dumb? How about making sam 10 times more dumb out of nowhere and never addressing his dyslexia during the dyslexia storyline
Ryder was the one with Dyslexia. Season 4. I don't recall Sam having Dyslexia aswell, I must've missed that.
Jessica Matheson sam said he had dyslexia on season 2 aka the best season of glee by far

The craziest thing about Glee is that Mr shue was never fired
Tara Dikov He blackmailed Finn, Suspended Marley for daring to have a problem with wearing a bikini when she was recovering from a eating disorder, Stood Sue up on a date, sang a song about rape, and got really pisses like half of the time someone dared to disagrees with him.

Number One EASILY could have been "coming up with songs and numbers for competitions AT THE LAST POSSIBLE MINUTE."
Like in season 2 when they are in New York literally a day before competition they had to make there own song
I remember people complaining about that.
well when that happened in season 1 they easily managed it.
Like that always confused me
I did that a lot in competition choir. We came up with choreography, staging and arrangements on the bus and in hotel rooms.
the glee club got alot of the money from the April rose budget and from wills pocket
the real question is why they left their big performances for themselves instead of for compitions, if they the did umbrella/singing in the rain for nationals without a doubt they would of won

What about the backup dancers at regionals or nationals?

It's not that unrealistic, actually. At my old high school (my siblings go there now) a lot of the teachers were/are friends with the popular kids and not only did they turn a blind eye to the bullying, they often joined in. They just never left the high school mindset.
When terri knew she was getting in over her head, why didn’t she just fake a miscarriage
She felt the baby was the only thing keeping them together so dragging out the pregnancy until she either got Quinn's kid or was discovered was her only option to keep them together for as long as possible.

The fake pregnancy storyline was very well done I thought. Obviously Terri didn't think it all through but still it was interesting to see.
We also have real life examples of people faking pregnancies. They either kill a pregnant woman and cut out her fetus, steal a kid, or lie and say the baby "died." It's not that unrealistic.
Yeah, I don't think it's impossible. Specially with a man like will , that trusted her a lot

Blaine deserved so much better than what the writers gave him. Why did he meet his mom on his wedding day etc
I always was so confused because him and Kurt were in the same grade at Dalton, but at McKinley, Kurt was a grade ahead him
Yeah, since the writers didn't know what to do after the main characters graduated, they suddenly decided that every character whose grade was never EXPLICITLY stated would suddenly be a junior in season 3.

But the great thing is that the show never took itself seriously

Why is it a club and not a class? I mean they always seem to skip classes to do something related to glee club.
It is a class, it is a show choir class but it is called Glee Club, because that's all show choirs.
Nathaniel Dumas it’s not a class they literally say that and that’s why fun was allowed to be the director cuz he didn’t need a teaching degree
I think it's class status, like many things in the show, has a questionable relationship with reality. Also, many kids on sports teams miss class for practices and games and stuff. So it's like that.

I absolutely LOATHED coach Beiste's transgender storyline. It felt so fake and forced, as if they had to do it no matter what. But Terri's actually makes sense, this has actually happened a number of times.
Especially after they had already done the storyline of her leaening to be comfortable in her own skin

Do you know why Holly Holliday is a super cool teacher?
Because with her, it's HOLIDAYS everytime she teaches
I don’t care about Britney being a genius is absurd it was hilarious and I loved it
Keegan Morfeld honestly she had the best one liners!! Also I think she was smarter than she let on just to fuck with people!
Krissy a troll doesn’t feed her cat sprinkes to make them poop candy bars and then eat the candy bar out of the litter box
@@quirkypurple3 did we actually see her do that though?
Lindsey Cassella we see her literally take a candy bar out of the litter box and eat it so yeah
@@quirkypurple3 I must have missed that. Gross. 😂
kurt and rachel being able to afford that apartment without jobs or any mentioned family support. y'all gotta do one on the plot holes next
they already did that
Pilar Vergara-King don’t they work as waiters in that broadway café though?
I think Rachel's dads we're very rich. They we're always traveling and had some luxurious things at home, like that awful Rachel painting lol
Idk if it counts, but in Rachel's show, Kurt's character said he inherited it... Could be what happened, but not sure.
Rachel said that her dads pay the rent
a lot of their more"high budget" performances were imagined, they like to do that.
Madelynn Belle Fisher exactly
A lot but not all
Thank you!!
They sing perfect without training or working for a song, and believe me, it needs WEEKS to learn a song, learn the choreography, bring the vocals and the instruments together... and you still have to train more before it is perfect.
Most episodes are what happens in a few days to a week or two
That was probably the most unrealistic thing.
@@HallowqueenCrafting Soo true
Mara W. yeah I remember one episode Quinn learned a whole routine and song in 12 hours
Mara W. yeah lmao although the “and that’s what you missed on glee” dude mentions once that new directions aren’t ready and they’re just gonna end up performing something they’ve learned the day before lol
I mean Domnoidragon LMAOO brad the piano player has a line that says “they say hit it and you’re just supposed to know which song they’re gonna sing”
I mean, I love how even glee characters know how ridiculous the show is sometimes😂
I think it’s Sue who says something about a private magical jet they use to keep coming and going from nyc to ohio, or something like that.
Or when Mr Schue says that he is in charge of the show choir committee, and then Sam asks why some groups only get to perform one song while others perform 3
Marley started dressing like that AFTER what sue did to her and her mom for Christmas
Starr Taylor briscoe true
and because kitty offered to start buying her nice clothes
So maybe she got clothes in the presents or used some of the money to get clothes
a lot of their point are actually explained later in the show
How about the fact that Mr Schuester was never fired for being a total creep?
And that everyone likes him despite him actually being quite a manipulative and aggressive person.
I like him.
Santana got away with a lot in front of the teachers.. How was she able to sing Trouty mouth so comfortably in front of the teacher?
Snix must’ve been controlling her body while she was singing it
She got in trouble for that tho
@@hannahcollings6358 She didn't really get in trouble Mr.Schue just told her no 😂 like always 😂😂😂
@@bigstinky you missed a scene

I always thought the dancers were in their imagination.
I think alot of it is in their imagination 😂
Like when they would go from the choir room to the auditorium in full costumes and singing in the hallways I thought that was imagination too😂
A Amani haha it is
Yeah the majority of the time it is in their imagination because they all want to be accepted and to do large scale productions like that, but when the dancers are in Cheerio uniforms it is just the Cheerios doing a favor for the Unholy Trinity and since they are good cheerleaders they are also extremely good dancers.
in some of the sectionals or nationals there would be sometimes random students who later aren’t in scenes too
I think that Brittany becoming a genius is hilarioussss
Jess Legati same and also so Greta seeing as nobody ever believed she was smart except for snatana
the backup dancers are part of their imaginative subtext type monologue things in their head. like you don't think kurt and them actually sing in the hallways do you? no it's what they imagine.
A lot of time the backup dancers were the Cheerios and could be counted on to join in because they were asked by the Unholy Trinity. Other times the drama students could be asked also
@@ArgonTheAware agreed
They must also sound super bad too and just imaging singing well.
You manifested this video. Congrats
WatchMojo *loves* Glee - the good, the bad, and the Rachel.
TigStripe this is so accurate I love it XD
For Marleys clothes Kitty told her at one point that she would buy Marleys clothes from that point on
Roos .. guys she wasn’t poor the whole time remember? Sue gave money to her money and it helped a lot
Well her costumes
I think Kitty told Marley she will pay her clothes in the "Dynamic Duets" episode, before they performs "Holding Out for a Hero"
Plus Walmart actually has some cute stuff ngl.
Wasnt this show filmed during a resscetion or something i dont think kittys parents could afford it but...
The one with Rachel chosing tv over Broadway, destroyed the show!
Such an underrated character.
deadass!!!! especially in seasons five and six, they basically said fuck it with sam's character. that shit had me ready to fight rib.
yesss, i think it's soooo absurd the changing in his behavior if you compare him on season 2 and 4-5-6
In my opinion, Sam’s dumbness makes him more loveable and cute. But I agree with the rest. He’s very underrated
And we can't forget the episode that Will tried to make Sue fall in love with him 😐
Sophia Kanashiro or the season 1 episode were Rachel was in love with will that’s not okay
brianna why he didn’t immediately report that and the Suzy Pepper situation is beyond me
It was not the opposite?
@@leonis96 oh yeah, I just realized that now 😂😂😂
@@briizy300 yeah, that was worse than that

Mike suddenly being able to sing.
YESSIR
Lauren Berry I agree. I hated it too. Unique was a fine enough representation of transgenderism
She was originally just there to teach Kurt the single ladies dance but the producers wanted her so the part was made for her
Ms Mojo : 10 things that doesn't make sense in glee
Me : gLeE dOeSn'T mAkE sEnSe!!
You definitely got #1 right. Something I thought should have been on the list was how the older glee members could regularly fly from places like New York City back to Lima on a moments notice. Aren't people supposed to be broke and busy at all times in college or was it just everyone I knew?
Or how about when Rachel first went to New York in her dramatic send off by taking a train insteading of flying.
i live an hour away from nyc and people around here will drive to ohio no problem, it’s inconvenient but if you need to isn’t that big a deal it really just depends how deep into ohio lima was supposed to be
Selene MacLeod oof, most places from where i am only take 4-6 hours. taking a train still seems reasonable to me though, as the other commenter mentioned
Brittany going to MIT was because Heather morris was on maternity leave... the genius plot was ridic but so was glee, but i do remember being happy that the writers DID explain her absence which you can't say for a lot of characters lol. The most absurd thing glee ever did What The Fox Say
I didn’t even know she was a mom this just made my day❤️
@@lenahehe565 She has two boys :)
Sara Coutinho I know and I’m so happy for her I thought she was way younger than she is
1. Mr. Schu somehow keeping his job after the several fireable offenses
2. Sue never getting fired
3. The Glee clubs budget, was OUTRAGEOUS. They literally recreated a Rihanna music video
Mr. Shue should be in prison change my mind
Most of the performances in Glee were imagined.
Some New Mexican yeah but some of the big ones that should be used for stuff like that weren’t
Another thing is how him and Emma ✨did it✨ in the school bathroom, got caught BY A STUDENT, and didn’t get fired.
Top 10 reasons why Sue should bd in jail.
sounds like someone hasn’t watched the whole thing of glee
What about the fact that students can easily transfer schools at any time? Transferring from a private school like Dalton to a public school like McKinley is not an easy process.
Thats according to what state youre in
My favorite, or perhaps least favorite, absurd thing about the show was that new characters would be introduced, become major players for several episodes, complete with backstory and interaction with others, and then one day just vanish without explanation. Everyone in the cast would then continue on never mentioning them again, as if they never existed. Wha--?!
I can't recall anything like that could you give an example?
Like sugar disappeared
@@savannahphillips5017 Sugar never disappeared she was still in the Glee Club the writers just shoved her character into the background once her storyline finished but in the wide shots of the club she is still there just like there are some extras in the club that we never hear from, she exists but just doesn't have a story worth telling.
@@anarkizt that guy with dreads
Nathaniel Dumas like joe(kid with dreads) his romance with Quinn was completely ignored?? And Rory (Irish) he just “got deported” unique was the center of a few episodes but then wasn’t really mentioned. Also Marley, Ryder and jake barely had any time on the show even though they were somewhat major characters and they just got transferred bcs of glee club.?
With the money thing, remember APRIL RHODES who donated like a massive amount of money!
Marcella Liddiard also Marley was wearing new clothes because she gave money to her family
i actually liked britanny being a genius
WenzelSays exactly! totally agreed
Well said!
Yeah, and it kinda theoretically made sense. It wasn't that she was dumb, her brain just worked differently than others and she had an active imagination.
Lily Zoner why wasn’t she in special ed ?
I'm surprised the slushies isn't on the list.
The fact the school has them is a little weird.
That people could throw them at people and NO one get in trouble is absurd.
At a minimum the Janitor would complain about cleaning up the mess. Little alone the bullying, damage to school property, and damage done to the students.
Not to mention the sign up sheets would usually get slushy on them and all of a suddon be back to normal?
principal figgins says slushies are not on the school list of suspend worthy weapons
We had slushies for a time but they were small
@@quirkypurple3 i read that in his accent.
True, I'm in a debate club in my school, and we all feel like family, even the teachers
@@ellagoreyshorrorstories7524 Your mileage may vary. Doesn't mean others don't have more meaningful relationships with their instructors.
TigStripe you’re really lucky I always wish for a close relationship like that with my teachers😂
How about the fact that Mr. Shue asked Finn to be his best man at his and Emma's wedding?
Is no one gonna talk about how unrealistic it was that Mercedes didn’t know Kurt was gay!!! I mean, that was more obvious then anything
Maybe because Mercedes wasn't a judgmental bitch who judges people off of stereotypes.
yeah but that’s a stereotype on gay people. people are always saying gay people are more on the feminine side. there’s a ton of masculine gay boys
Yeah, and then how she smashed his car just cause she thought he liked someone else.😀
I think it was pretty obvious that the production value on their performances were metaphorical picturing how they were feeling when performing like were on an actual Broadway stage
I mean finn falling for quinn’s explanation was kinda in character because he was a little dumb but otherwise yeah everything else here is crazy
+ the lack of sexual education of the characters, shown over and over through the show
Its obvious that this person has never seen Glee🤦🏼♀️
Once they performed “Gangnam Style”, the show went down to hell.
they...performed Gangam Style?
@@mxltinfinityx yeah, in season 4 episode 8
Yeah, the show was getting messy but it was due to some of the cast. Regulars who were made recurring made other work commitments and couldn't come back, Cory had to go to rehab so his character had to become absent one way or another, and Heather Morris becoming pregnant.
i feel like they just didn't know what to do once all their charectors graduated
they started going downhill after the infamous break up where blaine once again played the victim and brittana broke up.
His mom never died in the accident. He said she was in the accident but was ok. I think you misunderstood.
Yeah I distinctly remember him saying in episode 7 ‘Car Crash, my mom was there, she was fine but me...’ so you might’ve misheard.
Erica Wolling also in season one rachel shows pictures of her dads but then we see them in later seasons as totally deferent actors
I can’t this list is dumb 😂 so many of these are literally explainable.
Frr
In the season 2 episode "Sensual", Holly Holiday talks to Puck about pedophile..... years later......
Yuri Coelho OMG I saw that episode earlier on last week and I was like ooo thats dramatically ironic
Omg I didn't remember about that.Creepy
