- The tension between Guns N' Roses bandmates Axl Rose and Slash built up for years, but one song they released was the nail in the coffin for one of them. In this video, we explore the feud between Rose and Slash, and explain how they eventually made up to reunite in 2016.

I'll always wonder what would've happened to Guns N' Roses if Axl wasn't an absolute control freak.
You take the good w/ the bad. You wouldn't know who he was or the band if he wasn't who he was.
They used up all their illusions and had nothing left....was natural as it should be
I've often wondered the same thing.
They could've been the next Rolling Stones or Beatles
Axl's self-sabotaging knows no limits
they could've released like 10 more albums
Slash was born in Stoke, UK.
He was born in Hammersmith but lived in Stoke.
I was just about to say the same thing
Slash lived in Blurton SoT
Keeping it West Midlands…where it all began and where the greatest were raised 🤘
These are rad. It's also nice to have a host who doesn't look like me and my weird friends. 💀
I’d like to see a dissection of the feud between the Abbott brothers and Phil Anselmo.
Basically Phil became a drug flake and the Abbotts wanted to continue making new stuff as Pantera but Phil would just gaslight them for years so they had to come up with a damage plan for all the damage Phil caused. Dime was so hurt by him not being around to work new material
@@infinidominion Phil kept making new music with new bands, that never rose to the level of Pantera. Something very personal must’ve been going on inside of Phil’s head against the Abbott brothers. Phil was deeply involved in Black Metal, to the point where he comes across as a black magick witch. Perhaps the Abbott brothers didn’t want to partake in it, so Phil resented them, and ghosted them.
That’s all good, if Phil wanted to move on, great. But no respect given to the way it was done.
IMO, the reason why Vinnie Abbott had some kind of deep resentment against Phil after what happed to his brother Dimebag onstage, was because Vinnie believed Phil put a black magick curse on them. This is just my opinion.
Not saying that’s what happened, just speculating.
Just speculating because the official police report says that the shooter never saw the comments Phil was reported to have said about Dimebag in that issue of that magazine.
After the official police report was finalized, there is no reason for Vinnie to believe that interview had anything to do with the death of Dimebag.
IMO, Vinnie believed Phil worked up some black magick ritual against them.
....
Excellent report!! This lady is great at telling stories. She just lays it out, not taking sides. Completely unbiased. Her story telling has flow, and holds attention. She’s a positive face to Loudwire!! Cheers!!
Yeah -- "Guns N' Roses was Axl's creation from the beginning" -- completely ignoring that the first guitarist in the band was Tracii Guns. That couldn't possibly have had anything to do with the band's name....
Saw Guns N Roses back in 2019 i think it was. Hands down the 2nd worst concert I've seen right behind Marilyn Manson. It was crazy the amount of people that started walking out after Manson's first song.
Two bands that sounded good live towards the beginning of their runs, but sounded progressively worse as years went on.
I saw GNR in '92
Besides having to wait 3 hours after the opening band was done before Axl showed up, it was a great show
I also saw GnR in 2019 and it was easily the worst concert I've ever been to. Also the most expensive.
He had the world at his hands 30 years ago, now he fronts a nostalgic touring group. I wouldn't be shocked to see his version of Guns N Roses host a fundraiser show for PBS at this point.
They sound awful now. Slash still slays seen him with his solo project and with guns n roses. Axl is awful though. Ruined the show.
Slash made amends with Axl once his divorce happened and his ex-wife took everything but the guitars. Saw them on the "not in this lifetime tour" and you could see the markings on the ground where axl would go to pretend he was interacting with Slash. They're not friends just getting that retirement money on a nostalgia tour.
Hardly a nostalgia tour. Been going for 8 years now
@@Meatball2022 8 years playing old songs and Chinese democracy leftovers, filling their pockets while never releasing anything new. Sounds like nostalgia to me.
@@EduFirenze referring to your label as a “tour”. It’s 8 years running. Certainly not a “tour” of any kind. Nostalgia or not
i came here for a story on one of my favorite bands and ended up laying eyes on the most beautiful girl i have ever seen😍😍😍
Wait, was that a nirvana hat on axl?
he used to wear nirvana hats a lot in 1991 and 1992 before him and Kurt got beef. I think he even wore it in the "don't cry" music video
@@sri-kaushalramana437 ohh ok, thanks for clearing that up!
AXL wasn’t like, say, Mike Patton or Kurt Cobain, who often bad mouthed other bands and genres. AXL was a guy that liked new sounds, styles, and bands. He championed and lobbied for many of them back in the day. Nirvana happened to be one of those new things AXL talked up and embraced before Kurt and Courtney torpedoed it all (AXL and Courtney Love had a prior relationship which likely heightened Kurt’s hate for him).
Furthermore, AXL was also one that embraced electronic and industrial music and the movements that occurred in the mid-to-late 90’s with likes of Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Moby, etc, etc.
His affinity for new things and the evolution of music is why you saw him wearing the Nirvana hat and NIN t-shirts circa 1989-1993.
"we're not going into the L.A. Guns and how great they are."
One in a million
Does Guns n' Roses still exist? That's surprising!
People sleeping under rocks still exist, too? Apparently so.
6:03 uh, excuse me?
Both are on the new Michael Schenker album.
and Izzy S?
It's I Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry saved you a click.😊
Axel was jealous of slash for one he’s one of the greatest guitarist of all time he knew back then! Also Michael Jackson at that time was the biggest star on the planet slash collaborated with him this most of drove him insane
What’s wrong with mr brownstone ? I dance with him each weekend
Thats funny as hell considering how Axl was heavy into drugs back then too. But aye no surprise that hypocrisy is a trait of him.
I don't recall ever reading about that, from what I know Axl did some drugs at the beginning just out of curiosity mostly, but quit after a while.
@@adinadamian5634 so its kinda a first hand account from my mom. She used to do hair back then and being out in Hollywood and dating Paige from the band Orgy she occasionally hung out with various bands doing hair for them (Ratt and a couple others). One time Axl invited Paige and his friend to smoke weed with them. Thinking it was JUST weed they said sure. Turns out there was a little heroin mixed in and as a result both Paige and his friend got super fuckin sick. It was Axls "personal stash". So ya dude just kept it under wraps better and probably quit before others.
The host is the winner here
Collective Soul vs. Billy Korgan.
Killer eye browse!
G n f n R!
I didn't know that axl & slash were dating. 😂😂 Kidding, Guns n Roses kicks Ass
Just keep tryin to get a lil betta said a lil betta then befoooore ...what a great song! 🤘 Poor axl he looks weird af these days lol
What Happy Ending ,no Actual album since 1991 ???????
water pistols n tulips
What a character growth turnaround for Axl lol He’s turned out to be remarkably reasonable.
Same thing their books and magazine
Sad so many go from nobody's to gods then they forget where they came from.
Guns n Roses forever
thought that was bleed by meshuggah but ok
Axel was the visionary
Axl
This TMZ style of delivery is cringe af and not why people watch these videos.
If fans were the real winners here, then the classic GNR lineup would all be together again.
That's the band everyone fell in love with
How do you not mention "One in a Million" ?
Axl is the problem. And a weird creepy dude. He wears a red blazer and red bike shorts? YUK. Not at all rock n roll. Lost interest one the Illusion albums came out.
Do you go out of your way to look for the worst picture of the musicians? Like, goddamn!
Gun's had one good album and the rest SUCKED
The 40M+ copies of the UYI and Lies albums that collectively sold, including countless classic hits, say otherwise.
Maybe it’s just your taste in music that SUCKS?! The numbers sure seem to support that alternative.
A video on Steven Tyler and Joe Perry feud would be pretty cool
Let's hear it for the Buckethead era!
Smattering of applause
No thanks
Nothing against Buckethead, but he belongs in another band
Best musician GNR ever had
LOL .... there's always a comedian on every comment board. LMAO!!
@@Ariel.94 NO!! ... that whole bucket thing was silly AF. Trying going to a party with a KFC bucket on your head. Dude is probably a bigger schizo than Axl
Axel destroyed "guns n roses". Even though drugs were a big problem with in the band , Axel caused a lot of problems.
Axl looks like a middle aged lesbian that's had too much plastic surgery!
He sounds like one as well. 2nd worst show I've ever seen was Guns N Roses
It's Pilfingerdansen by Sigurd Barrett, saved you a flip.
Seriously ❓ ..

Guns n Roses' my favourite band
1995 wasnt when the lineup solidified

She probably meant 1985 😁
That was accurate. Loudwire is pretty okay.
Thanks Mick. Thanks Keith 😞
GNR FOREVER 🤘🤘
Poser band 🤣
Why are we still talking about this? Who cares 😴
