No mention of Izzy? He was Axl's best friend for the longest time and also responsible for keeping him calm at all times. After he left their songwriting went off the rails and Axl's relationships with Slash, Matt and Duff worsened rapidly because he wasn't there as his security blanket who talked him down and soaked up conflict anymore.
Their feud is actually still rather fresh considering that Izzy turned down every opportunity to join GnR for shows due to 'insultingly low payment' and basically being offered to appear for one song as a show monkey instead of actually rejoining for real to play the songs he wrote. Izzy is on great terms with everyone else in the band except Axl.
To be fair its pretty one sided as Izzy doesn't seem to care at all about returning to the spotlight and Axl still being salty.

I mean Axl felt betrayed and it's common in people who had neglected child disorder or whatever it's called. He was the same with slash. They were the closest people to him and such people with such past have reactions "fly or fight" when they feel that they are betrayed - to not feel left alone. Again. And Izzy shitting on Axl and calling his past out doesn't help. It was s##ty of him. He knows that axl prefers to keep his life private, especially since he was facing his past and trying to heal. So he wasn't helping their relationship either.

Saw GNR four times in Toronto between 1987 and 1992: They opened for The Cult in 87 (had no idea who GNR was then), opened for Maiden in 88, played with Skid Row in 91 and played with Metallica and Faith No More in 92 and they put on a stellar show each time. Axle Rose can sing in almost six octaves. To be precise, his official vocal range is from F1 to Bb6. Axl Rose's actual vocal range is 5 octaves and five semitones. However, he would occasionally surpassed that and reach C6, with 'Sorry' having one of that significant high notes.

Someone ran into him outside away from the arena and asked 'Axl, why are you here, you are supposed to be doing the show now. He still goes on stage and gives his all while getting bashed online about his voice or about releasing new material, he stands up for Ukraine and calls out Putin, he isn't the problem in GNR. Although I would've the liked Inglewood 1991 on the box set along with unreleased songs from that era, and we all call out for deep cut songs live, which they have gave us, like with Reckless Life & Street of Dreams, don't blame everything on Axl or the band there is a lot of stuff behind the scenes that goes on.

Look as a person I do really like Axl, but did you just try to defend the fact that GNR has been annoying and stupidly slow to release an album ? Really ? Even most diehard fans are super pissed about how slow the band is, they took almost a decade to release Chinese Democracy and now we are 14 years without an album and had 2 songs released without any NEW VOCALS RECORDING necessary, many fans wanted to start a (Not going to shows) type of (Revolution) till they decided to stop touring and start recording....
There is no way to defend that honestly, the fans want content, they have content, The General / Oh My God / Atlas Shrugged and they don't release it. They will prob release 1 or 2 of them next year and that's it for like 3/4 years. So c'mon no way to defend something like that.

One thing that should be noted here is that Guns N' Roses and Nirvana were signed to the same label. There are speculations that the record label knew that a confrontation between Axl and Kurt would heighten the news buzz around them whether it was good or bad. Being that they were 'Bad Boy Rockers' the bad-blood news elevated each bands reputation with their respective fan base and while some would take sides, others, like myself, would be fans of both regardless. I believe that the label knew Axl was a jerk and this setup would be easy to accomplish.

Then I heard paradise city and was totally disappointed with how wussy the music was. I also heard the likes of Bon Jovi and Poison and concluded that heavy metal was awful poser music. It wasn't until hearing thrash metal years later that I started to know what metal was and liked it.
