If only Marine leadership had not balked on the idea of Marines in SOCOM at the start we wouldnt be hearing a peep out of the NAVY SEALS. Thats why they missed out on all the money and missions for years.
@@ib3scope they do have special operations missions just don’t report to socom that’s why they aren’t “special operations” but they are very elite special operators
💯 choppers became my favorite you gotta get used to them especially when you go real high altitude,at first I'd sit where I couldn't see out to the bottom sky they'd ask if I were scared and laugh, but I like jumping out into the water from the chopper, one time a jump from a few hundred feet and fell wrong fractured some ribs...
My mom didn't believe that I joined the Corps until the day that the recruiter showed up in my driveway to drive me to MCRD San Diego! She didn't see or hear anything from me until 12 weeks later at "Family Day" (I spoke to my grandmother on those FEW calls home). She almost didn't recognize who I'd become...a completely different person. Better, but different. Many years later, I had 2 kids of my own join the military (both were medics and one went to Afghanistan), so I know "both sides of the coin". Be proud Mrs. Halili. Very proud. Only 1% of the US population even has the balls to join the military. After initial screening, only about 15% of the US population is even QUALIFIED to join. Too many druggies, fat-asses and criminals want to get into the best military in the world, so your son is most definitely "One of the few"! Semper Fi ma'am!
As a Marine vet, many great things have come out of the Marines for me even 20 years later. For example, I was able to add 3 years of Marine service time to my pension. With that being said, if one was to screw up and get a "Dishonorable Discharge", it will follow that person for the rest of his/her life like a bad rash. That person will lose a lot of benefits that comes with being a veteran who was honorably discharged. So in other words, tell your son not to screw it up please because his future can be negatively affected after his time of service for the rest of his life. And Semper Fi, Good Luck, and God Speed.
Never gets old watching the REAL side of these ooh-rah videos when they slide down that rope and start swinging their hands around, cooling them off, because they got so hot holding onto that damn rope! LOL!! Semper Fi!
M17 is the new standard issue for the army. M18 is for marines and Airforce. Force recon (and marsoc to some extent) use the M45A1 MEUSOC pistol, a modern updated version of the 1911.
@@kennedy.nola_ Yes sir, the tricked out Model 1911 is popular amongst elite units for its undeniable knock down power, although you might have to put in a little more training time into learning how to use it, due to its complex controls. Best regards, Denis C. Berte' USMC 70-72

Recon will never be an elite force like the seals. Theres allot of dry firing oing on in the live fire drills. You can tell they dont have an adequate budget for practice ammo

Force should be part of MARSOC / SOCOM as primary deep / special recon unit. MAGTFs would still have Battalion Recon.
That would take away from marsoc 😭 marsoc does special reconnaissance as a mission duty

They don't swing their hands because it's hot, it's only to remove the gloves to easyly and efficiency grip their gun ;)
I love your content
Force recon badass
Good morning success people. God Bless you and team.👍
Thanks for your comments and love i really appreciate it, where are you from?
From my understanding they use Reconnaissance unit as Ground platoon forces. Meaning they fight just like 1st, 2nd, And 3rd platoon s now.
Glorified infantrymen who take photos and can swim better than 80% of the corps. Nothing to brag about here.
Saw some operator stashes there.

I just our marines corps I think they are doing an excellent job please!!!
Love the corps
Hoorah brothers!
I checked in the intro of the videos that the 25 April bridge appears, what connection do you have with Portugal at the moment?
Show the part where they have to police up all that brass.
Wait… they still using the 1911? Not m17/18?

Why does they wearing two gloves?
one for rope rappelling
Fast roping burns the sh!t out of your hands. Wear heavy gloves to prevent/minimize rope burns.
